right now it looks like its going to be raining up until late afternoon and then clear up by gametime

Alright off topic, but whatever it's Christmas. Out of the 19 presents I received, 7 of them were NC State related. I think I'm most excited about my Carter-Finley Stadium replica. How many of your presents were NC State related?[Edited on December 25, 2011 at 5:37 PM. Reason : ]

i got a state koozie & a red waterproof parka... may be useful for the tailgate from the look of it...

Decided to go to church while I was back home today...a random old man who I barely remember came up to me and said:Old Man: You went to NC State right? You going to the bowl game?Me: Of CourseOld Man: You already have your tickets?Me: No I was just planning on going and scalping them.Old Man: Why don't you take these? [proceeds to hand me 4 free tickets in sec 201]Me: Seriously?Old Man: Merry Christmas [walks away]I walked away thinking to myself, WTF did that really just happen?! I too wouldn't believe it if it haven't of happened to me.ITS A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE

I have that same stadium replica. I'm not sure if they have a new, more accurate replica. I'd love to get an updated one. Besides, one of the goalposts on mine is broken.
12/25/2011 8:51:57 PM
where did you get that replica? That is awesome.[Edited on December 25, 2011 at 9:08 PM. Reason : I found it. Will have to wait on that though, $87 ]

Tickets, anyone? Work called, I can't skip tomorrow so I'm trying to get rid of my two seats. Section 205, row 10, seats 17 and 18. Make an offer.
12/26/2011 9:19:57 AM
looks like solid downpour until 4-5 then on again off again afterward
12/26/2011 12:52:10 PM
Having tried to post on my phone last night, I realize now that the replica I posted is different than the one I got. I still love it the same though. It's pretty massive being 10.6 inches x 11.6 inches, with the upper decks being 7.75 inches in length. It also comes with a wooden base to put it on. Here's some pictures of mine.
12/26/2011 1:35:30 PM
What is this? A stadium for aunts?
12/26/2011 1:41:27 PM
wow. ants. /drinking
12/26/2011 2:24:40 PM
I need 2 tix to the game. I'm not in Raleigh but can pick up in Charlotte tomorrow. If anybody has any let me know. THX
12/26/2011 4:42:49 PM
that is a badass replica. i wonder if they have the new
12/26/2011 4:59:12 PM
My parents won't tell me how much they paid for it, but said they got a pretty good deal on it. Apparently they had been shopping around for one for awhile. They said that they did see one that was more updated, but they figured that I would like the older one better, which I agreed. Maybe in the future I'll get a modern one, but for now I really like having a throwback replica.
12/26/2011 5:31:44 PM
makes me want to build one of theseminus the fuckeyes
12/26/2011 6:06:26 PM
^^hell yeh man. that is a piece of history. i'm trying to find out where to get one of these.[Edited on December 26, 2011 at 6:49 PM. Reason : ^also <3 (minus the fuckeye logo also)]
12/26/2011 6:48:34 PM
Apparently my parents got the Carter-Finley Stadium replica at Old Time Pottery on Independence Boulevard in Matthews, but they said that there were only 5 left about a week and a half ago.
12/26/2011 7:08:57 PM
where are people tailgating? trying to find cheap parking and some where close to the stadium. Got crappy student tickets. Section 500 something.
12/26/2011 7:23:25 PM
I got the first replica posted for my birthday earlier this year. It's pretty nice.
12/27/2011 12:50:25 AM
Old Time Pottery has had those for at least 2 years. I saw em in Wilmington that long ago. They also have Tarhole and other local team fields. If it had been the new design, I prob would have got it back then..
12/27/2011 9:14:20 AM
Apparently we didn't think pine trees were as intimidating as UNC, as I can't imagine Carter-Finley without the closed areas any more. My freshman year was the last one I think with the hill and band being in the other end zone.
12/27/2011 9:54:11 AM
Hey which sides/ends are States? Ive got tickets in Sec 201, just wondering if im gonna be surrounded by state fans
12/27/2011 10:23:59 AM
201 is in the endzone...to your left is the state side, to the right the louisville side...you're pretty much right in the middle
12/27/2011 10:29:00 AM
awesome thanks! Not to keep posting, but what are you doing about parking? Ive never been out there before
12/27/2011 10:32:07 AM
i can't decide if i'm gonna find a random $20 lot, or maybe park at one of the lightrail stations' park-and-ride lots and pay $3 or $4 bucks for a round trip train ticketgood news is it looks like the rain will stop around 1 or 2 this afternoon]
12/27/2011 10:39:43 AM
i bought one of the $20 'preferred parking' spots off the belk bowl website. probably overpaid, but now i don't have to worry about finding an open spot?
12/27/2011 10:48:49 AM
Looks like the rain is done.
12/27/2011 12:01:28 PM
What are ya'll wearing to the game?I'm thinking sexxxy formal
12/27/2011 12:10:55 PM
I was thinking about going but what shitty conditions. It would be an absolute hell experience and I don't see how I could enjoy any part of the game in this weather. Please to have bowl games in bowl-like destinations from now on.
12/27/2011 12:13:07 PM
rain is done!

i get not wanting to sit in torrential downpour for 3 hours (though i'd do it cause I paid $150 for my ticket) but its gonna be temperatures in the 40s with winds 10-15 mphif you cant handle 44 degrees with some wind, maybe you should get back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich
12/27/2011 3:13:51 PM
^Seriously. It's not supposed to be raining by the time the game roles around.
12/27/2011 3:16:30 PM
Sorry I'm not a yankee. Anything under 50 is cold as fuck at night standing still for 3 hours outside. Its not cold if you are in the sun, walking around, or playing but when you are a spectator sub 50 temperatures are agonizing. These outdoor games in winter cities should all be held during the day.[Edited on December 27, 2011 at 3:31 PM. Reason : bowl games should be nice. charlotte is not a destination anyway...o wait theres 50 million bowls]

Anything is fine after 3 hours of drinking. Banging fat chicks is fine after three hours of drinking. That doesn't mean its the preferred thing to do.

Horrible traffic on 85, but finally made it. Only saw a handful of Louisville fans. This is basically a home game
12/27/2011 5:25:19 PM
No thanks. I'll be at the Rose Bowl and bring out the layers if weather takes a turn for the worst and drops below 70 after sunset
