It seemed like Brown needed to be more of a scorer this year but a lot of times he was trying to get others involved. If he comes back, he needs to average about 15 ppg which I think he can easily do, especially if he improves his 3 point shot.

I was often frustrated that he didn't take the ball to the rack more often. Defenses definitely played off of him because they didn't respect his shot...but he still could have gotten to the rim more than he did. IF he comes back next year and develops a better shot and defenders play him tighter, then hopefully he'll use that and drive more often. I think we thought we'd get more from Purvis in that area, but it wasn't the case. We had outside shooting, inside scoring...but not as much penetration in the half-court.

Whether they "knew our plays" or not, offense wasn't the problem. We shot something like 70% from the field the second half. We actually shot ok in the first half too, just turned the ball over way too much.

Defensively, we were horrid for most of the game, but offense wasn't a problem.

^When we weren't turning the ball over, we shot pretty well.

Second half we didn't turn it over much and shot well ... just couldn't stop them when it counted.

I hope he can solve his shooting, defensive and turnover issues in the pros because he is one hell of a passer, especially when driving in the lane.

Dude was awesome on our Sweet 16 run, and showed flashes of that brilliance throughout the year. It's a shame he couldn't play with a little more consistency.

He's not, but his stock wouldn't improve much and he's older than a typical junior.

He will have a pro bball career though, likely overseas.

Yep, good luck to him. While he didn't totally fulfill his potential with us, he did a better job of it than anyone else in that recruiting class and was the main reason for a sweet 16 run last year. I really think his injury issues this year had a lot to do with his relative lack of improvement. For the next level, if he spends some time in the weight room, improves his jump shot, and gets a little more "athletic" (it's possible, see: Howell, Richard) he's definitely got starter potential.

I feel perfectly fine with Lewis and Baber running the point and Lee/Purvis/Turner splitting time at the two and three positions.

I like depth, but not at the price of unhappy McDAAs.

Probably the best move for him. He's intriguing to NBA guys because he's a 6'5 PG who sees the floor really well. We'd probably have to play him at 2G a lot next year, which wouldn't really help his draft stock and doesn't make the most of his skills.

If he can get a consistent shot, I think he'll have a long career in the NBA.

As long as he doesn't fuck up in camps and workouts, he should be a first rounder.

Out of all the guys we could possibly leave...he's the least valuable. We've got tons of talented guards.

There's a like a .0001% chance of it happening...but it would be golden of CJL came back. He's the one we need (and of course...for Purvis and Lewis to stay).

There are only 4 leagues in NCAA division I basketball, and Brown didn't play in any of them.
