anyone try Bad Daddys at Seaboard? I've yet to venture there.
4/7/2014 12:09:52 AM
In all the years I've lived in Raleigh, I don't think I've ever eaten at PR.I need to fix that this week.
4/7/2014 7:26:03 AM
^^ I've heard good things but haven't had one yet.
4/7/2014 9:28:07 AM
I've heard it's good, but a little expensive for what it is.
4/7/2014 9:33:07 AM

Bad Daddy's is awesome. We make it out there about twice a month - definitely my favorite in Raleigh.

I'd put Bad Daddy's up pretty high. Also, I had an amazing burger at Buffalo Brothers yesterday with bacon & avocado. Props to them.

Bad Daddy's / PR / Chow all awesome but The Station and H Street Kitchen right up there with them.[Edited on November 6, 2016 at 9:45 AM. Reason : Pr]
11/6/2016 9:44:45 AM
that new chef at PR is doing something right, i had the sliders there the other night and that shit was amazing
11/6/2016 11:41:32 AM
they've got that big new kitchen too
11/6/2016 12:00:11 PM
H-Street is legit. Them and PR are the best
11/6/2016 5:04:55 PM
H-Street is very good.On the burger-that-comes-in-a-sack scene, Circus has a good burger and fries for like $5.
11/6/2016 9:01:45 PM
had Bad Daddy's for the first time a couple of weeks ago. very good burger. also tried Al's in Chapel Hill last week, which got called the best chili burger in the country. any title like that is pretty dumb, but it was pretty damn good. the Hawaiian burger at PR is still my favorite, though.RIP H-Street and Melvin's

1/8/2019 1:27:17 PM
Al's has ridiculously good fries (regular and sweet potato) that just bump them up some notches
1/8/2019 1:47:54 PM
Royale has a gooood burger!

How's Chuck's?[Edited on January 8, 2019 at 4:13 PM. Reason : ]
1/8/2019 4:12:42 PM
overrated as hell
1/8/2019 4:21:13 PM
I haven't been to Chuck's since we moved but I remember it being very good. There was also a spot on Falls of Neuse back in the day that had pretty fantastic burgers. The name escapes me, and it's probably not even there now. It was in the same shopping center as a Harris Teet and Wells Fargo. I probably mentioned it in this thread 5 or so years ago, for all I know.
1/8/2019 5:23:38 PM
^tribeca tavern
1/8/2019 6:47:34 PM
cowfish has good burgers
1/8/2019 9:49:26 PM
^^Yeah, that's it!^I think I went there once. Must have been forgettable. Though I'm not even sure what I got, so who knows. This thread got me in the mood for a burger. Gonna have to find the best I can in Asheville.[Edited on January 9, 2019 at 7:41 AM. Reason : ]
1/9/2019 7:41:06 AM
Yeah Tribeca is long gone. I think it's a fucking salad place now
1/9/2019 11:33:44 AM
^^ the Vault Burger at the Rankin Vault is hands down my favorite burger in NC and everybody I’ve taken there agrees my mouth is watering just thinking about it[Edited on January 9, 2019 at 11:46 AM. Reason : in Asheville ]
1/9/2019 11:45:43 AM
Tribeca Tavern (the original) is still in Cary.
1/9/2019 1:09:22 PM
Oh yeah, Vault burger is fantastic. I’ve actually had it several times, not sure how I could forget.
1/9/2019 3:16:42 PM
I'm not sure a lot of y'all know what a good burger is.
1/9/2019 3:18:06 PM
Me and the wife tried the Vault Burger a couple of weeks ago based on this discussion...she was very disappointed in TWW haha. I thought it was "good" but I definitely didn't get the hype, though I did like the spicy mayo.
3/12/2019 3:06:54 PM
Yea come over to Chapel Hill if you want good burgers. Al's and Bun's is where its at.
3/12/2019 4:20:24 PM
So, aside from the fact that this is all based on personal opinion, and the entire thread doesn't matter, my favorite things about burgers are:1)a real grill, not a flattop2)bacon NOT placed in an X on it (shitty coverage)3)edible (i.e. not 6 inches tall, I'm not Steven Tyler)4)man i love a brioche bun5)sucker for bibb lettuce on a burger when availableI'm trying to think of a place that checks all these boxes, but drawing a blank. I'm pretty sure even PR puts the bacon in an X, but I love the Hawaiian burger at PR.
3/19/2019 9:21:16 AM
When I make burgers at home I usually weave a pack of bacon together and bake it
3/19/2019 2:35:47 PM
Cow Bar at the Morgan Street Food Hall is legit! Also, if you haven't tried the burger bar at a Golden Corral, give it a shot!
3/19/2019 3:03:49 PM
^ can't tell if serious
3/27/2019 11:34:02 AM
Serious. Where else can you make a burger with *literally* any toppings you want? Throw some BBQ on there, some corn, hell...a meatloaf and some mac n cheese. It's actually a sweet deal if you think outside the box and incorporate things like the salad bar or other areas into making your own burger.
3/27/2019 12:04:50 PM
You should have your fucking food privileges revoked.
3/27/2019 12:13:33 PM
^^ yeah i hear you man, throw a fucking apple pie on that mug
3/27/2019 12:17:43 PM
