not on multi-lane roads, i think that's what they meant. on a 2 lane road its illegal, for example, to pass someone on the right as they are waiting to make a left. the reason is that it created a dangerous situation from any oncoming traffic looking to turn left or any pedestrians. on a mutli-lane road though you can pass someone in the right lane.

I've driven in north country New York, New York City, Washington D.C., Atlanta GA, Orlando FL, Jacksonville FL, San Diego CA, Dallas TX, Austin TX, San Antonio TX, South Padre Island TX, Raleigh NC, Charlotte NC, Greensboro NC and tens of other cities.

Everyone sucks at driving. All of us. None of us can drive. It doesn't matter where, it doesn't matter in what, and it doesn't matter what kind of weather is occurring. Humans are incapable of being good at driving.

This rant goes along with this one too - stop saying you were stuck in traffic. You weren't stuck in traffic--you were traffic.

White BMW passed me on 40 East between Durham and Raleigh this afternoon, doing over 100 mph. Passed me with a quickness and I was near 75 mph. Weaving across all lanes and generally being dangerous.

A few minutes later I passed him on the side of the road chatting with a police officer.

About 9AM today, bitch turning left out of the entrance of her subdivision, onto 2 lane tryon road. I'm in the left lane, closest to her. She is gunning it, obviously trying to go all the way to the unoccupied right lane, should be no big deal as long as she doesn't, OH SHIT, she's riding the white line and is occupying both lanes! Jam on brakes, honk horn, almost crush her. She finally gets over into the right lane, and as I pull up next to her at the next stoplight she is making a concerted effort not to look at me. I look straight at her, flip her off and mouth "learn how to fucking drive." Bitch has the gall to glare at me like it's my fault she drives like an asshole.

When you arrive at a four-way stop at the same time as another driver, you yield to the car on your right. I've been down here for 8+ years and the yankees/tourists have finally gotten to me. It's been really bad this year. If you don't know how to drive or where to go in a city with tons of one ways and pedestrians...park your fucking car and take a cab or walk!

SC is the worst when it comes to SLOW drivers. I don't notice it that often in other states, but in SC it seems like its magnified 1000x. People consistently clog the left lane on the interstate going the speed limit or less, so the right lane tends to be the passing lane (I-26 throughout the state is notorious for this, but others are just as bad).

I also can't stand it when there is a double turn lane and drivers tend to stack one of the lanes. DO YOU NOT WANT TO GET THROUGH THE LIGHT???

And finally, PEOPLE WHO MERGE WAY TOO SOON OFF AN EXIT WHEN THERE IS PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITY TO MERGE A LITTLE BIT FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD

I don't mind slow drivers anymore because I, myself, am no longer a speed demon. I still go a good 7 or 8 over...but it doesn't bother me as much when grandma is poking a long. I'm not happy about it, but no more road rage.

I just hate fuckers that are creeping along while they stare at road signs, take random u-turns in the middle of the road because they missed their turn (same goes for crossing over lanes while making a turn), etc. Basically all the shit that tourists do here in Charleston. Its pretty damn annoying.

I don't really speed like I used to either and I try to keep no more than a 10mph max over the speed limit. That's still faster than 96% of typical traffic around these parts. I just hate it when I set my cruise control and then have to brake because someone wouldn't move over.

^^ i've seen people do that on the road i live off of. turning left in the morning can be difficult because of traffic, but the lights will generally stem the tide long enough for several cars to get out. but some people lack patience and will simply skip the line and pull out into traffic. no surprise, i see tons of accidents here, probably from such dumbassery.

I get a little annoyed at the number of people I see who have no idea what a Yield sign means. I've come close to being side swiped more than once from people just blowing through the one on 401 getting onto 540. Seems like people just ignore them and expect the driver with the right of way to move or they treat them like a stop sign even if there is no traffic.

This, this right here. Okay to alleviate the problem I'm about to describe, the city put up a sign for the left lane there that you can turn left, go straight or turn right from there. Originally it was a straight or left only lane.

People will go the red route, and stop where the car in the pic is, holding up traffic while they wait for space to cut across all the other lanes in order to get into that left turn lane.

What they should be doing is going the yellow route. There's hardly ever anybody in that lane to turn left or go straight.

Pisses me off every morning.

So I'm leaving the Best Buy parking lot getting ready to get on capitol and the dumb bitch behind me pulls up beside me as we get to Capital to wait instead of behind me. She pulls up so far that she blocks my view. Got swiped by a guy on the way home Friday night (Sat. 1AM) on capital. I was in the left most straight lane and he was 2 lanes over to my right a little ahead of me. As we were approaching New Hope Church Rd., He decided he needed to get in the left turning lanes and tried to change 3 lanes at once. I slammed on brakes but he still clipped the front right of my car with the back left side of his car.

I hope I can get it straight through insurance because I'm pretty sure know he lied to the cop (We talked to him separately). The cop believed me but said the cops don't determine fault, the insurance companies do. I don't get that.

Just talked to insurance, the other driver is claiming I changed lanes to the right and ran into him. That son of a Bitch

yea, NC is a no fault state. my mom, my sisters and I were in our car going across an intersection as the light had just turned green. some guy ran the red and t-boned us.

he was driving a camry, we were in a mercedes e-class sedan. our mercedes got thrown 75 feet from the intersection. by physics alone, it was obvious he had hit us. he had alcohol on his breath.

but it was 10 pm and no one saw us, so it was his word against ours.
