bumpSeason 4 begins tonight 10pm!

fuck yeah. my favorite show
1/8/2013 12:56:12 PM
So fucking excited. They had talked about at one point having 3 4 episode story arcs. Apparently that has been scrapped and now instead of a "big bad" there will be a "big mystery" linking everything together. Raylan investigating a 50 year old mystery of a man who fell out of a plane with 100k or something to that effect.

spoiler alert?????
1/8/2013 7:41:35 PM
I think that is pretty minor as far as spoilers go.
1/8/2013 7:42:19 PM
well everyone on this site does have the internet, if they wanted to find the overarcing story for this season, i'm sure they could do it w/out you posting it in this thread

good season opener. introduced the long arc while mixing in a good single episode story. I hope they don't overuse Constable Bob this season. I enjoy Patton Oswalt but I feel like this show has enough dark comedy that it doesn't really need a comic relief.
1/9/2013 9:18:25 AM
I watched it earlier, and I am super pumped about this season. It's very familiar now and not very fresh, and I love it.
1/9/2013 8:38:04 PM
best show on TV.
1/16/2013 8:52:24 AM
Solid episode. But with most seasons I'm more interested to see what happens with Boyd. Can't wait till he and Raylan start mixing it up this season.
1/16/2013 9:00:03 AM
preacher Boyd is one of the bests kinds of Boyd
1/16/2013 9:10:44 AM
^ agreed

i'm wondering if this season will finally bring the Dixie Mafia all in to the storyline. It's always been something floating on the fringe and you knew from season 1 that at some point there would be a Raylan vs. Mafia season.
1/16/2013 7:13:50 PM
Shits about to get real this season. Love this show!
1/19/2013 3:48:18 PM
Snakes to the face!
1/22/2013 10:10:45 PM
another fantastic episode. i'm loving the slow boil of all three story lines right now.
1/23/2013 9:25:01 AM
Agreed. This season is going to be crazy!
1/23/2013 11:58:04 AM
Graham Yost has officially confirmed that Preacher Billy is dead from the episode ending events last night. I'm really surprised to see his character wrap up so quickly. I know they alluded to the sister being the brains of the operation, but I'm curious to see how she fits in with the story now that the figure head is dead.
1/23/2013 4:38:49 PM
I had a feeling Raylan would get scammed by Randall and that chick...Right after she told Raylan how she would get close to guys to get their money, I immediately thought of the bounty money Raylan had squirreled away. It'll be interesting to see Raylan take on Randall, which will eventually happen I'm sure.
1/23/2013 6:38:45 PM
^^ My guess is revenge over Boyd. She may end up getting in the middle of what Johnny and Wynn end up planning. A lot going on this season but it's been great so far![Edited on January 23, 2013 at 6:40 PM. Reason : ^^]
1/23/2013 6:40:31 PM
I figured the preacher was gonna be out of the picture for a while but didn't expect him to be straight dead. Guess it doesn't matter much anyways since his sister is the brains. All the same I would've expected the little guy from Jurassic Park to last longer. Sucks for Raylan. Hopefully Randall kidnapped her and she hasn't turned on him. Though I do think it would be nice to have a season of Raylan getting taken down a few pegs for a little bit.
1/23/2013 6:56:30 PM
Easily one of my favorite shows ever.[Edited on January 23, 2013 at 7:56 PM. Reason : My other post was weird.]
1/23/2013 7:51:13 PM
ha came here to post that i just realized "billy" was the kid from jurassic park
1/23/2013 10:29:03 PM
Boyd Crowder is the best character on television right now.
1/24/2013 7:59:55 AM
Anyone else have money on Raylan and Rachel hooking up before the end of the season? She's separated, acting more like Raylan every day, and it might just be me but they've seemed to glammed her up a little more so far.
1/24/2013 8:56:46 AM
I highly doubt it. So far the theme of this season seems to be Raylan screwing up, I'd be curious to see if they do something drastic like have Rachel become more like Raylan to the point where she gets herself killed. I think they wasted so much of Tim and Rachel early on that it is a little strange to have them become more central lately, though I do enjoy it especially with Tim. If they build Rachel up only to have her die at the end of the season it allows for a new deputy to come in who can have a bigger role from the get go.
1/24/2013 9:27:45 AM
i don't think you will see Tim or Rachel die this season. It's been a well known and well written about topic that Tim and Rachel are under utilized and Yost has made it a point to give them each more screen time this season as well as some personal characterization so they can become developed characters and not just fill ins. Tim, Rachel, and Art have great on screen Chemistry with Raylan and keeping Boyd and Raylan largely apart for this season gives them an opportunity to showcase that more.]
1/24/2013 9:40:05 AM
Right - which is why I also think they are expendable. Build them up only to tear them down. The first three seasons of this show were successful without them being a large part of it. Let them be a big part of this season, only to remove them. Though I would prefer it to be Rachel, not Tim. I think it could have a huge impact on Raylan to see someone act like him and that be their downfall.

Tonight!
1/29/2013 11:50:37 AM
not too much on the mystery arc this week, but still a solid stand alone episode. Really enjoyed Rachel's screen time. I was certain she would follow Raylan and end up saving his ass at the end, but it didn't work out that way. Have we seen the last of Lindsey? It will be interesting to see if she pops up towards the end. But now that Lindsey and the money are gone it'll be time for the mystery, Ellen May, Boyd, and Raylan to all start coming together.
1/30/2013 10:51:12 AM
This show keeps getting better
1/30/2013 4:04:34 PM
I've gotta quit watching the "Previously on Justified" right before the episode starts. They showed Ellen May so much, that I knew something was going down with her... As soon as that dude said he was going to the bathroom, I knew she would be gone when he came out... Definitely another good episode.. I loved the part where Randall said, "Raylan, there's good money in chicken fighting", and Raylan shot him one more time as he had warned.
1/30/2013 6:22:41 PM
Little slow but decent episode. Excited about next week and what looks to finally be Raylan and Boyd meeting up. How is this thread only 7 pages long after 3 great seasons?
1/30/2013 7:10:32 PM
ramping up the Drew Thompson mystery quite a bit last night. Boyd and Raylan's first interaction of the season. Quite a few great guest stars as well. Nice tension throughout. if you guys enjoy reading recaps and what not about this show you should check out EW's weekly Q&A postmortem with Graham Yost. doesn't really divulged spoilers or critique the episodes, but gives nice behind the scenes insight on what happened and why they played out that way. here is this week's. http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/02/05/justified-kin-postmortem/
2/6/2013 9:22:04 AM
Great episode last night! I especially like the end where he asks dude if he's looking for Boyd and then tells him to bring a saw.
2/6/2013 12:38:12 PM
last night delivered. Boyd & Raylan, Wynn Duffy & FBI Agent Barkley (who I KNEW had to be crooked) & the guy from Yes Dear, Colt & Tim, plus throwing Constable Bob (!!!) into the mix made for an awesome episode
2/6/2013 1:10:40 PM
2/12/2013 8:03:30 PM
I like where this is going
2/12/2013 10:57:20 PM
I love this show. I thought it was crazy that Boyd proposed to Ava. This season is going to be awesome....especially with Shelby hiding Ellie may and trying to take down Boyd.
2/13/2013 12:17:47 PM
And as i watch her kiss CurtMy heart fills with hurt,My soul fills with sorrowThe size of Kilimanjaro.
2/13/2013 3:57:50 PM
I think for sure Ava is dead. Then Boyd goes off his rocker setting up Raylan vs Boyd.
2/13/2013 6:52:56 PM
^ maybe not that extreme. Ava will be threatened by the sheriff after finding out Ellen Mae's secret, then Boyd kills the sheriff setting up a cliff hanger for next season?
2/13/2013 10:24:53 PM
^^that's exactly what happens. in the comics it's ellie may that comes back, kills Ava, but boyd blames Rayland, pitting them against each other.
2/14/2013 8:29:20 AM
In the comics? What the hell, keep that shit out of here, what is this, Walking Dead?No but seriously - how faithful have the comics been so far? And I could definitely see that happening, minus the blaming Raylan, not sure how they would set that up.
2/14/2013 9:31:05 AM
(ha i was joking... do comics actually exist for this series??)
2/14/2013 9:34:19 AM
no comics. some of the story lines are loosely tied to a couple Elmore Leonard novels revolving around his character Raylan, but that's really it. The show is it's own world at this point.Givens was first introduced in the novels Pronto, Riding the Rap but he wasn't really the central figure. The pilot and parts of the first season come from some the short story collection Fire in the Hole. Leonard wrote a novel last year called Raylan which he pulled some storylines from the TV series. It's more like a companion piece than a stand-alone. ]
2/14/2013 9:36:51 AM
I don't want to see Ava die, but a scenario where she gets killed and Boyd takes it out on Raylan would be epic. though I do prefer "antihero Boyd" as compared to "full-on-villain" Boyd. save that stuff for the Wynn Duffys and Robert Quarles of the world
2/14/2013 10:32:33 AM
yeah, i'm not so sure Ava bites a bullet this season. I expect more on the lines of Shelby uncovering the Delroy death and somehow Boyd takes the complete fall for it keeping Ava out of any sort of prosecution.
2/14/2013 10:45:23 AM
after the discussion with Raylan last week about getting his legs broke, I'm half expecting Shelby to be Drew Thompson. It's gotta be someone in the cast, just so they can have a big reveal
