have you guys stretched out to each end of the boundries that aren't unlocked yet? How are they blocked off? What happens when you try to cross?


and "Strangers" missions can be completed at your own pace right? I didn't start any, just fooled around in the wild all night and did a lot of hunting and random encounters missions. Also, trying to unlock the deadly assassin suit.


and for those with the Elegant suit to cheat at poker, every time i go to the tailor to buy the suit the store is open but no one is inside. what gives?

It's cool that they added the honorability system to the game, but there are still parts where you can tell it's a long way from being an RPG. I want more choice in the missions I take, especially in situations where I might be choosing a side.

In mexico I did all the missions for the mexican revolutionary people, including saving the cocky annoying revolutionary leader. He tells me to come to his villa and he'll help me find the guys I'm looking for.

But no, it doesn't let me go to the guy's villa. Instead I have to do some missions for the governor. I just did one called "The Demon Drink" where I killed a village full of rebels, helped the army take a bunch of women hostage for the governor to rape, and burned the village to the ground with firebottles. The marston I'm playing has 100% honor and he would never even think about doing one of those things, but there was nothing I could do about it. Really took me out of the game, broke my immersion.

I tried to go to the downloadable content section and it's asking for my "rock star code", I assumed it would be on an insert in my game case but all I have in my game case are the map, the manual, and an advertisement for max payne 3......what's it talking about?

Finally finished Mexico and got to go up north...it's late, so I didn't play long enough to find the bison (which my roommate and I are looking forward to making extinct), but I did find -- and kill -- a couple of grizzly bears. Motherfuckers are assholes.

Roommate had some mountain lion encounters, but I still haven't -- and am still looking forward to them.

You have to go during the hours that it's open. I don't know what these are for this particular business, but it applies to pretty much every business/opportunity in the game.

My understanding is that you can only have one horse at a time. You can temporarily ride others (there are missions when you have to steal one, for example). I think the saddle comes automatically after you ride the horse long enough for it to develop the first stage of loyalty, but could be wrong about that.

did you get the special edition? if you just got the normal copy off the shelf then you won't have a code to enter and will have to wait until the DLC is available to the public through XBL or PSN stores

I had a code for a horse... and it didn't connect to the servers the first day. And then I brought the Xbox 360 upstairs away from my connection and haven't tried again.

you hold aim with LT ... push in the right stick to activate deadeye and hold it down, also while aiming with the right stick (move the crosshair at the guys head/chest and an X will automatically pop on it) and then while still holding both LT and RightStick you push RT to shoot the targets you set

Wolves are a good way to make money early in the game, assuming they don't kill you. I've seen packs with like 20 wolves, and each of them have like $12 of meat, $15 of fur, and about 1/2 of them have an $18 heart.

are you guys using bait for wolves? i'm still in the early stages, moving terribly slow in the main story just to explore and hunt and be a cowboy and even riding off the trail at night i never see them, just some coyotes. I suppose i need to get into a different part of the territory and out of the central plains between TL and 'dillo?

i cant remember exactly where the wolves were, but i think my last encounter with them was near Silent Stead, between Gaptooth Ridge and Rathskeller Fork (top left corner of the overall map)

on the map, there are icons for different animals.. i've had luck looking in those areas for those animals. not to say that they won't appear elsewhere though. that said, i encountered a pack by hanging rock, and another by the gang hideout in the northern/middle part of new austin (was the first one i did)

There are wolves everywhere, all areas of the map can spawn them I think, but they run in packs. If you see one there will be a lot around.
