the rams released isaac bruce yesterday. the panthers should pick him up so the fans can yell "oooooo" on moose catches, bruce catches, and delhomme incompletions.\/ yeah, should be a pretty decent WR to get on the cheap for a couple years' worth of play before he retires. sad the rams couldn't hold on to him for a little longer so he could retire there[Edited on February 29, 2008 at 4:12 PM. 2/29/2008 4:08:42 PM
i wouldnt mind us getting him....worked for prohl(sp?)[Edited on February 29, 2008 at 4:09 PM. Reason : on the cheap though...which means less than 1.5mil/year]
2/29/2008 4:09:18 PM
moose is our issac bruce, we don't need another....we need another speed WR to stretch the field
2/29/2008 4:46:48 PM
my friend told me carter was clocked as one of the fastest WR's in the game...i still havent noticed though cause he cant catch the fucking thing
2/29/2008 4:52:43 PM
^^true. carter was the fastest guy on our team. so yeah he probably was one of the fastest WRs in the NFL. still, that's straight line speed. it seems as though he lacks speed in and out of his breaks[Edited on February 29, 2008 at 5:19 PM. Reason : ]
2/29/2008 5:18:51 PM
carter is a track star, not a wide receiver
2/29/2008 5:19:38 PM
He just like a light skinned joey gallowayexcept that he sucks
2/29/2008 5:24:50 PM
his problem is that he doesn't attack the ball in the air, which negates his heightthat and the fact he sucks
2/29/2008 5:28:33 PM
oh yeah and aside from deep outs, he cant run any other routes
2/29/2008 5:36:48 PM
i can remember like 5 catches that if he had like 2 more steps he'd have scored a td
2/29/2008 7:05:46 PM
he's got a serious alligator arm problem
2/29/2008 7:21:58 PM
Marlon McCree is visiting the Panthers this weekend.
2/29/2008 11:59:39 PM

Ricardo McCullough signed. He might be able to play FS.
3/1/2008 9:12:41 PM
lol, Colbert got a 3 year, 7.2 million deal with Denver. What crack is Shanahan smoking?
3/2/2008 1:32:46 AM

3/2/2008 3:31:56 AM
you mean goodriddance
3/2/2008 8:20:53 AM
apparently, the panthers are interested in julius jones. seems like he'd be a pretty cheap/effective change of pace back.
3/2/2008 10:27:42 AM
^I like Jones he's the best running back available now that Michael Turner has signed with the Falcons
3/2/2008 7:16:15 PM
does this "julius jones" fellow play tackle, or guard?
3/2/2008 9:17:52 PM
please GOD NO JULIUS JONES. HE IS GARBAGE. JESUS NO.
3/2/2008 10:43:05 PM
Why get Julius Jones when we already have a better version of speed back in Deangelo Williams?
3/2/2008 10:57:59 PM
RBs frequently get injured
3/2/2008 11:12:46 PM
it still baffles me that he started ahead of MB3 for 2 seasons...jones is average at best but probably still better than foster
3/3/2008 12:18:54 AM
i mean i guess if he was super cheap i'd get him for some depth, but i really dont want another rb over other positions
3/3/2008 12:26:06 AM
but we need another rb
3/3/2008 5:07:39 AM
3/3/2008 10:16:21 AM
3/3/2008 10:38:13 AM
did i just hear we got mushin mohammed back? WTFthis is the best news ever
3/3/2008 6:36:06 PM
yeah pretty cool right
3/3/2008 6:37:39 PM
If the panthers are moving up, it's likely to target a DE. We've got some serious issues on the right side (mcclover? johnson?). Depending on just how high we go, we could be looking at Gholston or Merling (clemson dude). If i'm us, I use our extra 3rd to move up to 6-7, then go1. DE Gholston2. FS Dejuan 3. RB Kevin Smith[Edited on March 3, 2008 at 7:13 PM. Reason : ]
3/3/2008 7:11:24 PM
so whats up with our linebackers, corners, and safeties?
3/3/2008 7:46:27 PM
OG Kendrick Vincent signed for 2 years/ 2 millions.
3/3/2008 8:15:27 PM
we're set at CB, especially with the Coclough (sp?) signingLB's we're good enough. Beason and Davis are studs, while Diggs is good enoughAt safety, we still suck mightily. Chris Harris was pretty good last year, but outside of his ability to destroy people, he's pretty average. Have to do something in the draft, and damn I'm hoping that something is DeJuan
3/3/2008 8:24:39 PM
This year draft is a pretty weak year for safety.
3/3/2008 8:58:44 PM
what about free agents? with all this renegotiating and releasing of people i'd think we are way under the cap
3/3/2008 9:07:11 PM
3/4/2008 8:07:00 AM
Sounds like the Panthers are very interested in Clady from Boise St.Also says they want to have 5 new starters on the OL.http://www.carolinagrowl.com/Read.aspx?Story=523
3/4/2008 8:40:52 AM
^that OT is who the panthers will move up in the 1st round for, if they move up at all.
3/4/2008 9:40:39 AM
If we finally cut deshaun foster in order to sign julius jones, Marty Hurney should be immediately fired.I'm 100% serious
3/4/2008 2:12:35 PM
PANTHERS BAG BRAYTONWith veteran Mike Rucker likely to sign with another team (after he returns from a current trip to Afghanistan), the Panthers are making plans for life without him by signing free-agent Tyler Brayton.Per Adam Caplan of Scout.com, Brayton signed a two-year deal with the Panthers. He'll compete with Charles Johnson for playing time on the right edge of the defensive line.Caplan reports that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, and Cincinnati Bengals also showed interest in Brayton, who was a first-round pick of the Oakland Raiders in 2003.http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm
3/4/2008 10:45:22 PM
hmm, what's up with all these 2 year free agent deals? Moose, Mccullough, Vincent, and now Brayton.
3/4/2008 11:33:40 PM
3/4/2008 11:39:49 PM
well, moss(raiders moss) and stevens are pretty big pieces of shit. got to give him the benefit of the doubt on those
3/4/2008 11:52:34 PM
3/5/2008 12:15:06 AM
Close to deal with Barry Sims also. Great pickup in my opinion. Probably gonna be another 2 year deal.
