i was wondering why his playing time went down but I guess, like the article says, he played his way into an invite.

"With three games left in Salt Lake City, guards Julius Hodge and Heath, along with power forward Kenny Adeleke, seemed to have played well enough to earn an invite to Seattle’s training camp this fall. "

Wow, talk about a career going down the shitter. From 1st round pick to having to "earn" an invite to training camp.

he needs to either:

1) beef up and get stronger
and/or
2) develope a jump shot

if he wants to have any kind of career in the nba

^^^getting shot on the freeway in your car multiple times is a lot more gully than wrecking your bike in a parking lot

^perhaps, but he was acc player of the year...based on summer league numbers it looks like he still has a chance at a deep bench player on somebody's roster

^^
I'm not convinced he wasn't worthy of a first round pick, he has just had bad luck by:

1) being drafted by Denver, a team loaded with SGs and a coach not interested in developing him

2) a bizarre, random shooting incident

Also, by that point in the first round teams are taking risks on any of the players left.

shitty translation of that story (i mean shitty)

Quote :
"Basket ball Cimberio Varese communicates to have reached an agreement with the gambler Julius Hodge for the next competitive season. Hodge, before choice of of the Denver Nuggets in the draft 2005 dell' NBA (n° 20 absolute), is an all-around that does dell' aggressiveness in its penetration arm better, united to a' excellent inclination to the rebound. Charisma and leadership allowed to reach him for four consecutive years the the final NCAA with the record assoulto of minutes played in four years to North Separate Carolina, where is also the third marcatore of all of the times. To Varese will find Marcus Melvin, its companion to the times dell' University. "

You can actually get pretty good power and control with that. Better control than the one-armed heave.

haha he pulled those kinds of shitty plays all the time here... but he always made them work... except the one time he bricked it off the bottom side of the backboard going in for a game winning basket (I forgot who it was against).
