This was the one season I started to get caught up in new shows and half of them get canceled. I think that hiatus and the drop off in action before it is what did this show in. A lot people gave up on it before it got really good in the second half.
5/15/2007 9:55:37 PM
so would it be too much to ask the produces to say where they were going with the show and how they envisioned it to end?
5/15/2007 10:26:36 PM
Go for it.
5/15/2007 11:20:05 PM
Jericowned

Pretty lame. Season 2 was going to be awesome. How can you end a season with Black Bauer, sitting in a tank, ready to wreck shit.
5/16/2007 11:16:28 AM
Yep totally want to tell CBS to go fuck themselves. Rope me into a killer show with an ubercliffhanger of a season finale and then pull the plug on the whole damned show.
5/16/2007 11:20:28 AM
Everyone go to www.cbs.com ...At the bottom there is a feedback link. You can select the category to be related to Jericho. Everyone needs to give CBS some feedback on this. CBS has a whole new (and boring looking) fall lineup...but I sure as hell am not gonna watch any of it when they're just gonna cancel it at the end of the season anyway. It's on yahoo now too: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070516/ap_on_en_tv/tv_new_seasonUgh CBS sucks.

Hey, I'm Cuban, don't hate on Cubans. Fuck that, I would rather watch Jericho.
5/16/2007 11:44:08 AM
First, FOX cancels Drive and now this.. Fuck FOX and CBS
5/16/2007 11:54:04 AM
What's funny is networks are less and less willing to give shows time to develop before they're cancelled, which means viewers are less willing to start watching a new show, which means new shows get lower ratings, which means the networks give them less of a chance...and so on.Before too long we'll be British style and have shows that are 2 6-ep seasons long...[Edited on May 16, 2007 at 11:59 AM. ^ EXACTLY.Anyway there's a petition going on. dunno if it will help but it certainly won't hurt...There's about ~100+ posts on it every few minutes.http://www.petitiononline.com/09272006/petition.html

^ It happened with the Mole season 2. I think it was on ABC. They canned it after 2 or 3 episodes, and people were PISSED. They did the whole online petition thing and rabid feedback, etc., and ABC brought it back to finish out the season during the summer. The ratings for that were decent enough to have 1 or 2 more seasons (albeit it was celebrity mole, but still). So it IS possible. (Though probably unlikely)[Edited on May 16, 2007 at 6:14 PM. ^^^ those are CW shows.. not CBS shows.. CBS owns half of the CW so thats why they're in the same article.
5/16/2007 6:19:48 PM
Lots of shows have been cancelled under five episodes. Clerks was cancelled after two.
5/16/2007 6:25:06 PM
#14540 on the petition list
5/16/2007 6:36:53 PM
Comment on the CBS website... here is mine.
5/16/2007 6:43:29 PM
this show would not have been canned if they had added three letters to the shows title.CSI: Jericho.
5/16/2007 7:15:09 PM
This is worse than the time CBS cancelled Nash Bridges in the middle of a two part season finale.
5/16/2007 7:45:00 PM
Ugh. So I just emailed Kelly Kahl (person responsible for this) and sent the feedback. I'm debating taking part in the NUTS campaign (where you sent a bag of nuts to CBS in protest), but I dunno. We'll see what happens.About the NUTS thing:Go here, http://www.bulkfoods.com/nuts.asp buy any kind of nut and have it shipped to: CBS Television Network attn: Kelly Kahl 51 West 52nd Street New York, New York 10019 [Edited on May 16, 2007 at 8:06 PM. ^^Are you serious?
5/16/2007 8:46:26 PM
no no no...are you ^^ serious?!because that is...nuts.i would have watched this show, but i passed. however it did look awesome for the few episodes i watched. so i would agree that CBS is fucking retarded in cancelling it. esp. for Geeks and Dolls 2??
5/16/2007 9:31:58 PM
^^Yes
5/16/2007 11:22:12 PM
^no one will hire me and i'm not selling insurance.
5/17/2007 2:16:16 AM
^^I find it hard to believe a network would cancel a series finale half way between the 1st and 2nd part. Unless you show proof I am calling bullshit.
5/17/2007 2:35:55 AM
The Nuts campaign reminds me of farscape (crackers don't matter)
5/17/2007 4:13:56 AM
FUCK. I didn't check this thread for a while b/c I was behind on my episodes. But I caught up last night...only to see that they canceled the show, IN THE MIDDLE OF A BATTLE?!?!FUCK
5/17/2007 1:54:32 PM
it joins a long list of great cancelled shows that left us on cliffhangers
5/17/2007 3:20:57 PM
out of everything at the end, the new flag is what really got my attention. i wanted to know more about what was really happening, not just what the military guy told heather.
5/18/2007 9:17:14 PM
I really wish this would get picked up by another station.
5/18/2007 9:47:46 PM
From the CBS exec:
5/19/2007 1:11:39 AM
cbs is going downhillno more bob barker, now jericho is outthey just ost my viewership, as soon as Bob is out.
5/19/2007 1:19:09 AM
I dunno, that E-Mail sounds very re-assuring. They might do a second season with just a few episodes, like a end-of-show mini-series. Maybe an end-of-show TV movie. Most story lines could be cleared up in a creative way with just a few intense hours of TV. I look forward to seeing what they come up with. That is, unless they come up with nothing; in which case I am disappointed.
5/19/2007 1:45:20 AM
the email is to shut up the fans in hopes they won't "boycott" the network, while the network just waits for the fans to forget.
5/19/2007 2:29:04 AM
http://www.nutsonline.com/jerichoThis site has gotten on board with the Jericho-faithful. Already taken orders for over 3.8 TONS of nuts to be shipped to CBS.

5/23/2007 9:29:00 PM
not unless they release the seaon 1 dvd tommorrow and it sells a billion copies
5/24/2007 12:28:23 AM
expect a movie to rap it up...tops. They won't renew it
5/24/2007 12:29:30 AM
HAHAHA, finally. This shit was so bad. Next time, find some writers who 1. Aren't trying to copy Lost and2. Won't suck all the interesting parts out of a fucking nuclear holocaust story
5/24/2007 4:22:00 AM
^ story about survival in post apocalyptic land = a bunch of dumbasses lost on an island?
5/24/2007 9:41:55 AM
^^ How much of the show did you actually watch?? Yeah, that's what I thought. The first half wasn't that great, but when it came back in February it absolutely rocked.
5/24/2007 8:08:45 PM
the story had potential, the poor acting and low budget production made it suck though
