^ NICE! Those screens are on point!
8/30/2006 10:09:54 AM
i think i heard (either in this thread or something on packpride) that the screens will eventually have an outlining/casing much like the main NEZ scoreboard
8/30/2006 10:21:35 AM
those damn screens are right above my season seats... lol
8/30/2006 10:53:49 AM
can't. wait. for. saturday.
8/30/2006 11:03:47 AM
nice, but they should have just built another really big one
8/30/2006 11:31:59 AM
eh, i disagree. two more screens add for more flexibility. also one big screen in the middle of the SEZ would mess up the view of the Murphy Center. two screens to the corners looks better. also how pimp is it to have more screens than the other schools in the ACC. BC has two, Duke one, UNC one, FSU one, Clemson i think used to have two before there new West Zone project was started, VT one, UMD one, WFU one, UM one, GT one, UVA one.
8/30/2006 12:17:03 PM
clemson had 1 in the west zone, then they put in a new one on the hill, then they demolished the old one, so now its 1
8/30/2006 12:19:47 PM
but i wonder how big they actually look from the nez...
8/30/2006 12:20:23 PM
^well, the screens were put there for people from the NEZ to see them, so I am sure this was considered
8/30/2006 12:22:33 PM
but whats their relative size compared to the just the screen on the jumbotron thing? whats the dimensions of these 20ft. screens to how big the scoreboard one is...
8/30/2006 1:53:41 PM
*preface this with the fact I'm waiting for some stuff at work*found this:

8/30/2006 3:49:47 PM
so much for HD
8/30/2006 4:36:49 PM
^^^that doesn't mean shit. you don't know how zoomed in the picture is. need something for reference
8/30/2006 5:14:24 PM
there are other pictures that show the frame for it that clearly give you a refrence for size
8/30/2006 5:42:38 PM
^^are you kidding me? you can see the back of one of the chairs
8/30/2006 5:52:41 PM
did anyone see in the Technician where they referred to the Jumbotron as a Megatron. i was like what it's now the leader of the Decepticons? i mean even if you can't remember the word for it at least call it a big screen.
8/30/2006 6:55:05 PM
lol

The place looked simply awesome today. I was really impressed with the new plaza, and the atmosphere was great with the full bowl. Here are my pictures from the game: http://www.jonathanhawkins.net/photos/thumbnails.php?album=138

Both of the new screens had squares that weren't working, but I guess they were on. The sound system was completely FUBAR before the game.
9/3/2006 12:03:21 AM
they should get the kinks out of the videoboards this week....i mean this past monday they were still in the boxes on the ground
9/3/2006 12:58:51 AM
haha i saw the square, i thought it was a speaker or something at first if i'm talking about the same thing
9/3/2006 1:01:46 AM
yeah both screens had their issues that i would imagine will be fixed by next week. i still love it. we have 3 freaking screens! i was in Section 7 for the game about row BB if i remember correctly. i look to my right and i've got the original jumbotron. i look a little off-center to my left and there's the one in the southwest corner. i look completely to my left and there's the one in the southeast corner. i thought they looked great. i keep looking over to the NEZ expecting to see the old fieldhouse, and what do i see a bunch of red that looks fairly steep. man if we just hadn't had that code to deal with perhaps we wouldn't have had to raise those permanent bleachers up four feet and could have had the middle section as well. gosh i love our stadium now, even moreso than before.
9/3/2006 10:25:24 AM
i thought it was awesome, but i just wish the endzones were painted red
9/3/2006 10:51:05 AM
anybody got pics from gameday?
9/4/2006 12:15:17 AM
scroll up
9/4/2006 12:48:02 AM
that one graphic that says "WOLFPACK FANS: NOISE" that blinks white really quickly will look so cool during late games.. it already made the whole stadium flash with one board.. think with 3 boards
9/4/2006 1:07:56 AM
i LOVE our stadium now.

nice red x
9/20/2006 3:25:10 PM
i personally think the screens are small. I sat in the new section at the akron game and had to turn around to the big jumbotron to see a replay.

Thats an awfully large screen.Impossible.I STILL THINK HAVING READ CLEAR PLASTIC OVER THE LIGHTS DURING HALFTIME AND BEFORE AND AFTER THE GAME IS THE BEST THING THEY COULD DO EVER!!NOBODY HAS THAT
10/12/2006 9:59:56 AM
"read clear plastic"..... outstanding
10/12/2006 10:10:14 AM
You know what I mean. It wouldnt be that simple and it would be awesome.
