You better get an attorney.

My advice would be to drive the speed limit if you don't want to deal with a speeding ticket.
4/24/2009 11:50:06 AM
right, and be late everywhere you drive.
4/24/2009 12:51:27 PM
Seriously, what great advice. You know that really helps when dealing with a speeding ticket.
4/24/2009 12:57:40 PM
leave 5 minutes earlierif you don't get the speeding ticket, there's no speeding ticket to deal withother suggestions would include making sure you're about 1 mph under the speed limit if you see a cop.]
4/24/2009 1:29:09 PM
i go from 5 over to up to 9 or 10 over around copslawli've been pulled over about once every 1.5 years. gotten 3 ticketspaid about $800 to lawyers and stuff for them thoughmaybe i should go slowerbut it's so fucking boring driving slow. i feel retarded when i get stuck behind someone going slow.
4/24/2009 1:34:35 PM
I drive the speed limit. I have never gotten a speeding ticket. I have paid 0 dollars in lawyer's fees and fines. I get to work on time by leaving the appropriate amount of time to get to work. My commute is around 30 minutes. I drive the speed limit in the furthest right-hand lane that is not an exit lane. I find it hilarious that people consider the speed limit slow. I laugh my ass off when everyone in front of me slams on their brakes when they see a cop.I'm just telling you this because I want you to know that it is possible to get to work on time and also not get speeding tickets. 'Not getting tickets' is my 2nd highest reason for going the speed limit. I get taxed enough as it is.That's not to say I've never been late. Shit happens. However, shit happening is not motivation enough for me to deviate from my going the speed limit plan. If you seriously work for a place where you can't be late a few times then give yourself AMPLE time to make it to work. If you don't you're obviously not serious about your job. God I sound arrogant, but I'm being totally honest here. Those 35mph zones kill me, my car doesn't want to go that slow sometimes.

I've paid $500 in the 8 years I've been driving. Quite frankly, it's well worth it because I hate driving the speed limit.
4/24/2009 2:10:37 PM
I hate driving in general. I can't wait for the day when it's all automated and I can read a book or something. If only the greater Raleigh public transportation system was worth a damn..
4/24/2009 2:19:41 PM
4/27/2009 12:17:21 AM
Ha! I don't drive a hybrid.
4/27/2009 10:37:16 AM
I'm finding the amount of speeding you can get away with in north raleigh is leaps and bounds higher than around college town.

4/30/2009 4:43:22 AM

4/30/2009 5:52:36 AM
then hire a lawyer if your other stuff is more important.
4/30/2009 11:35:09 PM
^^ i would try going to court before your court date and when you do go in EARLY. If i am correct you dont even have to see the judge you just go talk to the ADA and they will drop the case for you.[Edited on May 1, 2009 at 4:15 AM. Reason : ]

5/13/2009 4:48:45 PM
No, it was Lee Turner. I talked to Crouch, but he didn't sound as confident as Turner did about being able to get it dropped.[Edited on May 13, 2009 at 5:49 PM. Reason : ]

5/18/2009 8:46:15 PM
If you don't think you'll get pulled for any moving violation in the next few years I wouldn't worry. I know I would try to get that shit dismissed with a quickness, bc more than likely I would get pulled for something with my luck. The way I read it, after conviction of that particular charge (speeding 10mph or less over...)-in NC at least-any moving violation conviction in the next 3 years will count for both and jack up your insurance. That means after this conviction, if a cop on a bad day pulls you for 1mph over the limit or forgetting a seatbelt and you get convicted, you pay for both insurance-wise a min of 60% more than your normal rate. That true, nicklepickle? It's one of the special cases in the driving insurance code.
