2/6/2006 1:20:16 PM
3 of the 4 teams we have lost to are in the top 25 again
2/6/2006 1:20:29 PM
So why is 2 loss Memphis getting votes for #1 over 1-loss Duke (who beat them) and UConn???Calipari?
2/6/2006 1:21:43 PM
actually that is confusingseton hall got votes last week, won both of their game and got no votes this week
2/6/2006 1:21:57 PM
even worse (better?), maryland was #23 last week and only received 1 vote this week

^ Ha they have Iowa as a 4 seed!?! I guess they are assuming that Iowa will keep playing well or something. Fuck they lost by 30 just two weeks ago to Michigan State. Cbs sportsline needs to run that Muhammed cartoon so that Al Queda will bomb their ass.[Edited on February 6, 2006 at 2:13 PM. Reason : Bin Laden]
2/6/2006 2:04:10 PM
I'm tired of this shit... we are 18-4 we beat a top ten team and took another to the wire. I got on Foxsports today and they had a huge article about the Holes in addition to the rankings headline which read "Tarheels back into top 25" we are 7-2 in the toughest conference in the nation and we are getting 6 seeds what a load of shit.
2/6/2006 2:09:06 PM
2/6/2006 2:28:17 PM
^not hard to be the toughest when you have 35 teams, the acc is still the best top to bottom conference, on any given night anyone can beat anyone, that doesnt happen in other conferences. We're not the best at the top but still are top to bottom.[Edited on February 6, 2006 at 2:30 PM. Reason : ]
2/6/2006 2:29:04 PM
no the big east is better this yearthey only have 4 more teams than we do
2/6/2006 2:31:01 PM
their 12th team could never beat their 1. That is what makes the ACC so great.
2/6/2006 2:32:05 PM
you think wake could beat duke??
2/6/2006 2:34:12 PM
Yes, if FSU and VT can take them to the wire, no reason wake couldnt.[Edited on February 6, 2006 at 2:37 PM. Reason : Their first game wouldve been a lot closer if Duke hadnt shot 60 percent from 3pt range (60-100)]

Christ, you people don't even watch basketball, do you?Wake can't beat anyone. They fucking suck. Duke shooting a high percentage from 3-point range isn't some "accident," it's because Wake doesn't even try to stop anyone. And we are not the best conference, or even the 2nd-best, this year. Not at the top, not top-to-bottom, not in any way you try to look at it.

how does joe lunardi and his bracketology have North Carolina at a 5 seed...and rising...and he has NC State at a 5 seed and stable??how can that be??

2/6/2006 3:25:20 PM
The bottom teams in the Big Least couldn't beat the ACC bottom teams though. South Florida??? Who the hell could they beat? I mean thats a guaranteed win for the top Big East teams.
2/6/2006 4:01:34 PM
2/6/2006 4:25:17 PM
The big east is better at the top but we easily are better from top to bottom. Yea we have Wake and GT which sucks ass but the rest of the conference has been relatively solid this year. Half of the big east is good, but the other half sucks ass. USF is 6-15, ND has one conference win, Depaul is 9-11, both providence and St. John's are 10-10. Wake would easily dominate USF.u can argue the big east or the acc, but don't even try to bring in the big 10 which we whooped their ass in the challenge even with one of our best teams (BC) not playing in it.
2/6/2006 4:29:40 PM
2/6/2006 4:32:19 PM
At the end of the year he's spot on. His early bracketologies are shit though, and this year is especially so.
2/6/2006 4:34:42 PM
^^That's not necessarily what angers me. I just think it's ludicrous to try to lay out the brackets and pick seeds midway through the season. It's even more meaningless than the rankings at this time.[Edited on February 6, 2006 at 4:35 PM. Reason : .]
2/6/2006 4:34:59 PM
I really think that the SH blow out loss blew everyone's confidence in us. Which is fine, if we finish with 3ish losses in the ACC we will be fine.
2/6/2006 4:43:31 PM
2/6/2006 4:55:17 PM
but isnt this so much better than the fucking bubble watch we had grown so accustomed to?I love this...feeling cheated because we arent rated higher than a 6 seed.I could most definitely get used to this.
2/6/2006 4:58:45 PM
I could ge used to being a 1 seed
2/6/2006 5:03:22 PM
Tennessee a 2 seed?Seriously, what the fuck sportsline?they must WANT to see a 15 win...
2/6/2006 5:37:36 PM
2/6/2006 6:53:15 PM
how's wake not lower than that yet?
2/6/2006 7:31:44 PM
^They haven't gotten votes in the last 2 polls so they are not ranked at all. Look at the graph closer.

bitchin' graphs, keep up the good work!
2/6/2006 8:44:37 PM
All I was saying is how this is just further evidence of the UNC bias when you compare our hype and rankings to UNC's at this point in the season... I understand it doesn't mean anything but in a way it does (money, recruiting, etc.) The Big East is a fine basketball conference, but year in and year out the ACC is the top dog. This year I will concede that the Big East looks stronger.
2/6/2006 8:48:09 PM
well unc had to be ranked before the first big duke/unc game, of course!
2/6/2006 10:45:34 PM
