soooo jack let boone's step father diebut fought to save his life
9/22/2005 10:43:26 AM
That could be her dad, which would mean she is 8 during the flashback. Which means this is about 14 years ago. That puts a wrench in my "Desmond took Locke's legs to save Jack's wife's legs" theory.
9/22/2005 10:43:50 AM
Shannon is 20 I thought.so that would make it 12 years?
9/22/2005 10:44:58 AM
Okay, 12...still seems like a long time ago for Jack to be a doctor.
9/22/2005 10:45:26 AM
he was sporting some very 1993 looks there...
9/22/2005 10:48:04 AM
i missed it! stupid work...if somebody taped the premiere, wanna send me a PM? puh-lease?
9/22/2005 10:49:40 AM
Instead of running the stadium, he should have been doing the Macarena for exercise.
9/22/2005 10:49:58 AM
i taped itbut you'd have to come to wilson to watch italsobecause i taped it after "My name is Ear/The Office" you have to rewind the tape about 10 minutes ini.e., the first 50 minutes of the tape are the last 50 minutes of the showbut there are no commercialsbut again, you'd have to drive to wilson
9/22/2005 10:54:37 AM
so like i said this was my first episode, i plan on catching up by watching season 1 over the next weekcan someone tell me how adam rutherford (the suv guy) is connected with the rest of the story?
9/22/2005 10:59:53 AM

9/22/2005 11:03:12 AM
boone (who died on the island) and shannon are stepbrother and sister (and they hit it before getting on the plane)they are very richbut the money came from shannons fatherboones mother got all the money when shannons father died (presumably in the car accident with jack's wife)so shannon has spent the last several years getting back at boone and his motherincluding milking boone for money by getting him to pay guys not to date herboone was like locke jr on the islandhe did everything locke did, and everything he told him to dohe was killed in a second plane crash on the island(he was inside a plane hanging on a tree canopy and it crashed to the ground while he was in the cockpit)
9/22/2005 11:05:10 AM
I thought boones mother had the business and shannon was wanting her fair share through the marriage?damn i need to get my shit straight[Edited on September 22, 2005 at 11:10 AM. Reason : *]
9/22/2005 11:08:04 AM
thanks woodfootand its not like i planned on watching it, it just kind of happened, and i dug it
9/22/2005 11:08:22 AM
The common viewer probably didn't even notice the guy's name or how he related to Boone and Shannon. Has this been confirmed yet anyway?I wouldn't have known it unless I read it here. I didn't catch it.
9/22/2005 11:12:49 AM
^^ You should definitely check out the DVDs.
9/22/2005 11:24:27 AM
^^i mean, thats the thing with this showif they give you a piece of information, you should probably accept that it fits the puzzlethey could have easily just not said the patients name
9/22/2005 11:56:16 AM
Does anyone have the first season on DVD that I can borrow, Im dying to watch it!
9/22/2005 12:18:23 PM

9/22/2005 12:33:13 PM
(from page 6)
9/22/2005 12:45:11 PM
btw anyone remember how in locke's dream with boone looking up into the sky saying '[woman's name] falls up the stairs... [woman's name] falls down the stairs' ? he explained it was his babysitter, but NOTHING past that. surely this has to enter back into the story at some point?
9/22/2005 12:48:51 PM
i think it would be foolhearted to introduce a second batch of peoplewhen we've already got a convoluted web connecting so many of the people we already havehell, we have people from the front section of the flame we've never met, why would we as an audience want to meet more people
9/22/2005 12:49:10 PM
i stand by my prediction! now someone answer my question about theresa falling up and down the stairs
9/22/2005 12:53:38 PM
9/22/2005 12:57:12 PM

Crazy.
9/22/2005 2:12:39 PM
9/22/2005 2:12:52 PM
yeah, it would have been cool if they had put the opening of season 2, with Desmond, right after they blew the hatch last year. They blow the hatch and the screen goes blank. Scene shifts inside the bunker and with all the retro shit the audience is thinking "oh, another flashback" Then, boom, we find out the truth, season 1 ends, and the audience is like "what the fuck..." Eh, would have been cool, but last night's show was pretty crazy the way it was. Also, someone mentioned earlier about Desmond executing the program before they blew the hatch...could the program be the "security system"? As for the "Theresa falls up the stairs..," I don't think there will be anything else with it, it was just information that was used to make Boone a believer in what Locke was saying.
9/22/2005 2:16:00 PM
oh...and do you people not watch enough tv to figure out trends?I can't believe how many of you were overly surprised that Desmond was the guy down under everytime they introduce a new character who reacts with a main character in some fashion...that character is somehow importantthere's a reason they have Desmond and Jack talking for 5 minutes...also your guys' theories suck and are waaaaaaaay out therestop trying to figure out how Desmond got there. that's not important right now. what's important is "Who is Desmond and what's his role?" obviously since they introduced a direct confrontation between Desmond and Jack, something will be explained within the next two episodes (most likely the next episode).
9/22/2005 2:21:53 PM
I'm hoping that the next episode will be all-raft. I'm not sure if they could do a whole hour of that, but if they could pull it off well I'd really enjoy it.

heh, told you people would do thatbtw, just found this, the guy said "its probably a coincedence"there are none of those when this show is involved:

9/22/2005 3:29:29 PM
I decided to skip class last night to watch Lost even though I had a friend recording it for me. Good thing I did, the recording didn't work.
9/22/2005 3:51:49 PM
listening to these whispers creeps me out.
9/22/2005 4:01:19 PM
some people on the abc forums are either odd or stupidthey're saying that the stuff at the beginning, the nice flowery living quarters, are all a figment of desmonds imaginationand one person is using the record skipping as evidencei'm pretty sure, you set off an explosion, a record is going to skip
9/22/2005 4:07:25 PM
clever minds behind this show...clever minds.BTW, that Desmond blurb and the similarities are too common to be conincidence.
