Have YOU ever read a Batman comic? Jesus, there's nothing different about that. Wayne returns to Gotham as an irresponsible 25-year-old weirdo as far as the public is concerned.
4/28/2005 11:48:22 PM
dude i get itbruce wayne is really batmanbruce wayne is the disguisei'm just saying the delivery is kind of awkward sounding to actually hear out loudit has nothing to do with the charactersheesh
4/28/2005 11:51:27 PM
It's awkward to hear someone acting awkward?
4/28/2005 11:53:48 PM

I'm Batman
5/3/2005 6:20:50 PM
After watching the newest trailer I am seriously hyped about this movie. I'm thinking it could be much better than Burton's vision of Batman.
5/4/2005 1:00:16 AM
careful stuckey, you'll go too far
5/4/2005 1:02:56 AM
ahahahabatman is staring at that tittie
5/4/2005 8:06:03 AM
OMG, that preview gave me goosebumps. I can't wait for Bats
5/18/2005 9:33:23 PM
just watched the 10 minute previewnot gonna lie"meh" is the first word that springs to mind...
5/18/2005 9:33:38 PM
That was cool
5/18/2005 9:35:17 PM
5/18/2005 9:37:00 PM
what's with him talking in the "batman badass voice"...it's kinda fucking annoying
I'm seriously beginning to think all you people that can't get excited about anything are clinically depressed.Everything is going to suck, not live up to your inane expectations or just simply let you down.Do you find entertainment in anything? Really? Is it that hard to suspend your sense of reality for an hour and a half and enjoy a film for what it is?
5/18/2005 9:37:31 PM
^^kinda?^garden state lived up to my insane expectations, million dollar baby floored mespiderman 2, life aquatic, hitch all met my expectationsi wasn't expecting much out of sideways, but wound up enjoying it in fact, i can't think of too many movies i've been to in the past year that didn't meet my expectations(of course, i don't go see shitty movies)[Edited on May 18, 2005 at 9:48 PM. 5/18/2005 9:37:58 PM
alright, it IS really annoying
5/18/2005 9:39:19 PM
Michael Keaton needs to be resurrected. His voice and persona were the best.
5/19/2005 8:01:27 AM
Michael Keaton isn't dead, and I think he's a bit old to be playing the rookie Batman.
5/19/2005 8:14:04 AM
Bale is already ahead of Keaton because Bale has potential to be as good as Keaton was as Batman, and way better than Keaton as Bruce Wayne! The thug in the trailer who says "It's the Batttttt Man!" reminded me alot of the opening of the Burton movie. Horse breathing fire out of its mouth also gave me chills. I am really pumped about this movie. When was this 10 minute preview?[Edited on May 19, 2005 at 9:10 AM. Reason : sdf]
5/19/2005 9:10:30 AM

5/19/2005 10:41:48 AM
Is there any way anybody can embed the 10-minute trailer from Smallville on here or something? I can't seem to find it anywhere (short of going to bitorrent and looking for it), and the movie website only shows the first minute or so.
5/22/2005 12:15:53 PM
5/22/2005 12:26:18 PM
guess what folks... every movie is 10x better if you don't watch every preview/trailer/clip/photo that comes out on the internet. I learned that a long time ago. If you watch every preview/trailer/clip that comes out, then you will have seen half the movie and not be excited when you actually see it.that is why i have only watched the teaser for batman and not going to look at anything else. it really works, you are much more excited and the film is more enjoyable
5/22/2005 12:31:43 PM
I still wish I had never read that damn spoiler for this movie a couple months ago
5/22/2005 5:16:43 PM
I am geeked about this movie..B-man 3&4 let me down except for the Robin part in 3. Hopefully this movie will allow them to bring another Bman up... III&FH
5/22/2005 5:19:45 PM
think they'll have a midnight showing of this?
5/25/2005 1:50:58 AM
i remember when i first saw yoda dueling with his lightsaber in episode 2 and thought it was so badass that i hadn't heard anything about it, then 2 days later they start running ads in the paper with a picture of it
5/25/2005 1:56:15 AM
bttmftanyone know if there'll be midnight showings?
5/26/2005 3:16:24 AM
I don't know about midnight showings, but it will be on IMAX at the same time its on in the regular movie theaters.
5/26/2005 7:13:52 AM
As I think I mentioned a few pages ago we are not showing the new Batman movie at the IMAX theatre in Raleigh. We had already committed ourselves to showing the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory months before we found out about Batman, so we would be unable to meet the contractual agreements (minimum 5 shows per day for the 9 week run, guaranteed 75% of every ticket sold, large upfront payment) needed to show Batman. I'm kinda disappointed because WB didn't even try to negotiate.
5/26/2005 8:13:24 AM
^ Ouch. I mean it. Ouch. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory over Batman Begins? Thats like picking a free Suzuki Sidekick and then being offered a free BMW a few weeks later. I love the Dahl book and the first movie, and I think this one may be ok, but damn [Edited on May 26, 2005 at 9:49 AM. Reason : ]
5/26/2005 9:49:18 AM
^ yea love the book and the first movie. and the thing is. i love depp, burton, and elfman..but im still skeptic. i think it would be something good to do with depp is a good bit older..hes too young for the role
5/26/2005 9:51:35 AM
bttt hurry up and come out already
6/4/2005 1:12:02 AM
Quick question for all you Batman comic book buffs. In the Batman Begins site, there's a link to where you can see the scans of the comic book that explains R'as Algul's first appearance. In the comic, though, it looks as though Batman moved out of Wayne manner and into a penthouse. Why did he move out of the manor (and consequently the cave)? Isn't that where he keeps all his equipment?
6/5/2005 3:37:08 PM
i think in the marshall rodgers/denny o'neil 1970s batman, he had a headquarters at waynetechno idea whymaybe they figured it would seem more like he was actually showing up to work
6/5/2005 3:44:37 PM
When Dick Grayson went off to college, Bruce moved out of Wayne Manor because he didn't like how empty it was. He moved into the penthouse of the Wayne Foundation Building (and I think actually kept a townhome in Gotham proper). It makes sense to me. Why live just you and your butler in a huge mansion that's MILES away from the city you spend EVERY NIGHT in? Of course, he's since gone back to Wayne Manor....
6/5/2005 3:49:37 PM
I always thought that he preferred being alone. It just makes him seem that much more dark and disturbed. It would also make it a lot less likely that his Batman identity would be discovered.
6/5/2005 4:08:51 PM
A character's emotional disturbance is much better represented by his interactions with others. Characterizing Batman as just "dark and disturbed" betrays a fundamental ignorance of Bruce Wayne's connection to Dick Grayson. Anyway, being the sole heir of a billion-dollar estate left to you by your murdered parents tends to draw a lot of attention, especially when you're also an eccentric, dilettante playboy who lives in a big creepy house. As far as secret identities go, Batman spending time by himself doesn't do a lot to really put a dent in all the threats to his real indentity.
6/5/2005 4:16:42 PM
i saw ebert and roeper todaythe are calling it the best of the batman moviesi don't normally care what critics say but that makes me happy
6/5/2005 4:36:26 PM
