yeah, I guess they didn't address that bug in the patches. Had my best punter that I convinced to stay instead of transfering to FSU and star running back who wanted to go pro. neither are on the roster now.

and football season is upon us. I think I got most of the requested schedule changes in. UVA has a bye week to prepare for they battle in the coliseum against #1 USC in a rematch from the 2008 season. The cavs lost a heart breaker and Senior QB Peter Lalich is looking for payback.

Losing my speed HB really, really hurt my offense. This game is all about speed and my offense is DIRELY missing it at the moment ...could be a long season offensively.

Anyways, to the news. Beat #23 Fresno State 17-6. Defense was stout, picking off two passes and holding them to just over 100 yds of offense. On the other hand, i only got 40+ yds rushing on around 20 carries and i threw two picks trying to squeeze passes into their zone. Yates was around 11/17 for 191 yds and a TD.

Also i got a commit from the #9 HB in the nation. (BTW, LOTS AND LOTS of talent in NC this year. I prolly offered 7 or 8 4*+ guys from NC)

^i think its just the way they programmed Heisman setting. You can audible out of a play and the defense will go to EXACTLY where you audibled. Its like they KNOW where you're going. Not to mention their zone defenses are almost impossibly to penetrate with the pass

Yeh the pack survived with a 21-17 win at LSU. It is going to be a long year on the offensive front, as I had a good deal of trouble moving the ball, but defensively the Pack are pretty strong.

Also, I am a little bummed that my OOC schedule has 3 away games instead of 2 and 2 like I was looking for. So I only have five games to recruit guys to. Thanks commish.

started off kind of rough, first two plays of the game were a moreno 74 yard run, breaking like 8 tackles, and I immediately throw a pick six... Despite this, Clemson's defense locks it down and despite a 4th quarter comeback by the dawgs, they hang on to win 27-24.

I think we can advance now.

In reading yall's posts about how your offenses were struggling it looks like we have the real ACC here. My offense is pretty bland this year. I don't have a QB that can throw worth anything.

On to the good news. Maryland got their season off to a good start, upsetting #18 Cal 31-0. My passing game is weak but Da'rel Scott carried the load with 23 carries for 116 yds. and 3 TD's. QB Jamarr Robinson chipped in with 9 carries for 43 yds. and a TD. Passed for 121 yds. and 1 INT.

Defense played awesome. Sacked QB Kevin Riley 5 times and picked him off 3 times. Allowed 238 total offensive yards and -21 rushing yards.

The cavs go into the coliseum and came out with a 31-23 victory over preseason #1 USC. Al Groh was ready to board the plane back home after the opening play from scrimmage was taken for a 73 td run but his team fired back with a scoring drive of their own. With a 31-7 lead going into the 4th quarter, the defense fell asleep and allowed USC to score 16 pts and recover an onside kick. Lalich was 18-25 for 211 yds, 2 td, 2 ints(one a super db morphing int and the other bounced off his receivers hands in the endzone), and a fumble. Both teams finished with 3 turnovers but UVA had nearly double the time of possession.

UVA will be without their highly touted Freshman running back Jared Reid when they make the trip to winston salem in week 3. He was injured late in the 1st quarter with an abdominal strain and will be sidelined for 3 weeks.

Duke is embarassed by Marshall in Wallace-Wade 43-23.

After leading 7-0, and then 14-7, Duke's horrid pass offense caused complete suffocation of running back Kuruwune. QB Sean Renfree throws a pick six that reminds fans of former Wolfpack signal-caller Daniel Evans. Combined with a fucking sick nasty running back on Marshall (dude is quick as shit) and I was done for.

The offense of Duke might not be so terrible if I can adjust, the speed of WR Cole Smith carried him over 120 yds with a touchdown on 4-5 catches.

goddamn, waxed by Marshall.

This is going to be a long season maybe i should have practiced with my team first. or maybe i shouldn't suck.

More offensive woes for UNC as they can't even eek out 200 total offensive yards, but once again their defense bends but doesnt break as #9 UNC pulls out a 17-10 win over #15 Georgia Tech to go to 2-0(1-0) on the season. Sophomore WR Jim Woodard was the best player ont he field as he had 5 receptions for 131 yds and a TD. The running game for UNC was pretty much non existent, especially after the first quarter as starter Anthony Elzy finished with 21 yds on 10 carries and a TD.

On heisman, your HB HAS to have 95+ speed for you to have any kind of running game at all

yeah, think I ended up with like 250 total offense with about 220 of it passing. Had more on punt and kick returns than i did offense.
