Tobias Palmer 14 rushes for 202 yards and 2 TDs yesterday!
8/30/2009 9:43:28 AM
not that it matters, and i'm sure you know... but Crisp and Singer no longer attend Chapel Hill HS. They both go to Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC) HS now.
8/30/2009 11:02:15 AM
what's the deal on singer?does he still have an offer?silly little white thug
8/30/2009 11:15:07 AM
I think Palmer is underrated by most scouting services, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a 4th star much like Mangram did.And yes State is standing by Singer through the ordeal.
8/30/2009 12:17:54 PM
8/30/2009 1:41:49 PM
Hasn't Palmer actually gotten noticeably faster since he was in high school? I thought I remember reading a quote by his coach at GMC that he's running in the sub-4.3 range now.
8/30/2009 1:52:16 PM
Heard yesterday that Hunter's academic standing is horrible. "Wants to go to State but might not be able to". So looks like prep or EZU unless they get his grades straight. Althought I also heard somewhere that it's not so much his bad grades, but he has some sort of LD that holds him back from some required classes. Not sure if that's true or not...
8/30/2009 1:55:24 PM
Yeah I've also heard that Hunter is a strong State lean and his mom is really pushing State, but his academics are definitely in question right now. That's also why ECU is listed up there with us and LSU on his list. But if he can get his academics straight, he'll be a monster player for us.
8/30/2009 4:17:45 PM
I also wanted to note that I moved palmer and mangram to their high schools on the map so it matches the geographical diversity part of the list.
8/30/2009 4:27:55 PM
^^^^I don't doubt that he has gotten faster, but I wouldn't put much stock in that 40 time.
8/30/2009 4:38:04 PM
oh, wow. jibreel black committed to indiana in late june. you guys need to call me out on this stuff.
8/30/2009 4:40:50 PM
from what ive heard on hunter he doesnt want to prep so if he cant get qualified he's ecu bound
8/30/2009 4:46:50 PM
Synjyn Days a player who can play both QB and S that we were monitoring, but had not offered, committed to GT over Ok State two days ago.

crisp gets 5th star on rivals, he's now a consensus 5 star.http://rivals.yahoo.com/video/amp-football/ncstate/AMP-Four-prospects-earn-fifth-star-53759
9/1/2009 5:05:01 PM
^ oh thats great. seeing that vid has to get every future OL recruit to give us a decent shot. lets hope Crisp stays injury free...[Edited on September 2, 2009 at 8:06 PM. Reason : up]
9/2/2009 8:05:53 PM
Mangram is not playing this season at GMC due to academic reasons. I highly doubt that he will be coming to NCSU with Palmer
9/2/2009 9:02:08 PM
^ whaaaaaaaaaa?if you can't get your grades up at that place you must have just given up (or a LD). Since i saw scouting video of that dude i've been waiting for the day i'd see him lay an Adrian Wilson-esque hit on a tarhole RB.
9/3/2009 10:29:03 AM
Reggie Wilkins committed to UNC today.

is aj marshall solid to wake? he was at the game with creecy thursday
9/6/2009 6:49:12 PM
rivals is making our class look pretty good. everyone is a 3 star or higher except singer (2*) and palmer (not ranked). tyson chandler is now a 4* and the 10th best prep school OL.
9/9/2009 12:14:15 AM
^ i thought he was 10th best overall, and 2 more of our commits are in the top 50
9/9/2009 12:47:18 AM
you're right, 10th overall. randolph is 26th and ferguson is 38th.
9/9/2009 10:01:55 AM
alfy hill committed to alabama. just glad he didn't go to carolina.
9/9/2009 1:48:03 PM
well ... you know the UNC spin machine will say that they didnt even want him
9/9/2009 1:55:42 PM
either that or he committed to bama because butch told him it would look better for carolina if he pulls the old signing day switch-a-roo.
9/9/2009 2:52:27 PM
rumors around cary are fre-shad hunter may be gettin kicked off his high school team because of his attitude.attitude plus grades, you can about sign him up for ecu already. hopefully its all JUST rumors and he will get his grades in order and sign with the pack.
9/9/2009 2:56:05 PM
9/9/2009 2:58:07 PM
^very talented player, who like hunter, needs to get his grades up.
9/9/2009 3:52:23 PM
bump and grind anyone seen any news about recruits at these nice blowout games?
9/22/2009 11:16:53 AM
from the ACCSportsJournal
9/22/2009 4:35:06 PM
^damn that kind of sucks, Mangram could have bolstered our secondary next year, I wonder if we're done with him period or if he's just looking around and could re-commit .
9/22/2009 4:39:59 PM
last i heard mangram still wasnt going to be qualified after this year

Rob Crisp interviewhttp://www.athlonsports.com/college-football/2009-spotlight/ac100-on-campus-robert-crisp
9/23/2009 8:51:08 PM
what was up with the yeast infection interviewer who goes: "so with all these offers, WHY ncstate?"i also saw the interview of the 5* kid the 'holes got, James Hurst. Crisp looks better than him althought its splitting hairs but Crisp is faster. The other thing that Crisp did so well at that FBU camp was block in the pass drills. I'm excited about Crisp. Thanks for posting the interview.
9/24/2009 12:49:58 AM
Some of it is hype. Crisp at one camp outperformed last year's consensus #1 OT Xavier Nixon, who's now at UF, yet he's #3 on Rivals and #5 on Scout. I don't think Hurst is better than Crisp. That's not to discredit Hurst, who is definitely one of the top 5 OTs in the class. I don't know about Seantrel Henderson. Him and Crisp are almost identical.
9/24/2009 1:30:17 AM
It's funny that he doesn't think he'll start. I bet he will, with early enrollment getting him into spring practice.
9/24/2009 8:54:22 AM
Yeah, if he's good enough with spring practice, I could see him taking over one of the tackle spots.
9/24/2009 9:09:56 AM
Vermiglio still has a year of eligibility left, and I doubt Crisp would be able to beat him out.But in the other spot vacated by McCuller, he just has to beat out Wallace or Mattes or Jones or Gregory. It's not that much of a stretch to think he can beat those guys. Vermiglio and Crisp on the outside, keep Mattes at guard, Wentz/Crawford/Lawson at center, bump Gregory or Wallace or Jones inside to the other guard?
