If I am in the president of my frat and one of my guys invites Athens Drive High to drink underage, it is my ass going to jail. I did not throw the party for 16 year olds but I am held responsible for the actions of those in my chapter.

I like how the Obama supporters always say that McCain supporters are ignorant and hateful when it is actually the far left wierdos that feed Obama money that are ignorant and hateful. They hate everything America stands for. They are emotionally challenged people who don't think rationally. Their hatred for Bush and conservative values has completely blinded their judgement. The people of our generation need to slow down and think about what they are choosing during this election and not go off what the bias media is saying. It's hard to tell these days what is true and what isn't because the news isn't reported fairly. The partisan stuff has to stop.

It just amazes me how the media is so left wing that they won't raise hardly any questions about Obama's policies. It's the whole mindset that got us into the economic crisis we are in now that we must get rid of. We can't get away from the basics and fundamentals that are tried and proven. There has to be consequences to the actions of our leaders. The people who live in lala land have to be held accountable and learn to take responsibility.

ha, right after you claim it's the "far left weirdos" who are killing the country

who exactly are you talking about here?
The SEC, who bent the rules for a select few companies?
The investment houses who leveraged themselves into oblivion?
The mortgage companies who gave loans to anyone with a pulse, and sold them up the line to "diversify the risk"?
All of these companies who bought and sold CDSs to each other without abandon which they had no intention to ever honor?

Where are these redneck cretins coming from? I though college was supposed to help these kinds of people.

and as such we'll say that maybe you did a shitty job as a leader, but we won't accuse YOU of throwing the party or giving alcohol to those kids. Which is exactly what is happening in this case.

McCain gives a speech where he says something about Obama changing his economic policies after every poll.

Also included in the speech are another set of economic changes McCain wants to enact that no one had ever heard about before. Second time in two days.

earth, in a rational world, that "share the wealth" and "healthcare is a right" would have been the end of his political career.

If the article linked to by Joystiq is any indication, then saying he "pretty consistently badmouths" video games is quite the stretch.

I'm not gonna get into a bickering match with you.

He is for the censoring of video games + tighter regulations on them in general.

I just thought it was a funny place for him to advertise.

I didn't know about that. I was just going off them linking to an article that quoted an Obama speech that simply said:

Quote :
"You know, I will invest in education. We'll make sure government gets behind the schools. But it won't make much of a difference if parents aren't turning off the television set and putting away the video games and making sure that our children are doing their homework."

Which I think we can both agree isn't him particularly badmouthing video games. If there's some other history I'm unaware of, then him advertising in a video game it is a bit amusing.

The only people who take issues with stating healthcare is a right and share the wealth are republicans. The majority of people in this country view healthcare as a right. It's isn't a hate republicans statement. It's Republicans, mainly harline conservatives, continue to act as if they are the majority in this country. they aren't.

Healthcare is not a RIGHT, you people sound like selfish idiots when you suggest it. You do not have a right to anything that requires someone else to provide it for you against thier wishes.

I think the majority of americans agree with the vast majority of issues that republican party traditionally stands for. I also think the party of late, has gotten away from that message.

More of the same....

Scranton Times paper covering the Palin rally today:
Quote :
"1:25 p.m.

Chris Hackett addressed the increasingly feisty crowd as they await the arrival of Gov. Palin.

Each time the Republican candidate for the seat in the 10th Congressional District mentioned Barack Obama the crowd booed loudly.

One man screamed "kill him!""

God man, what the fuck are wrong with some of these supporters. It's like the Greenwood Army marching to the tune of 'God Bless the USA' with pitchforks and spouting hate and bile and death threats to Obama.

I have a hard time considering health care a "right" for the most part, and I don't believe in a socialized system of health care.

I do, however, view basic health care as a right for children the same way I view basic education as a right for children.
