Good info Pilgrim, thanks. I figure if I'm making good decisions, eventually I'll be able to make a run and finish somewhere in the money in it. Just cashing in it would be sweet! I'm planning on being in it every Sunday.Tough to lose with KK like that. That being said, did you question if you should have just gone to the flop and then gone all in when there was no Ace out? Not that getting all your money in with KK preflop is ever bad, but still...[Edited on December 11, 2005 at 4:07 PM. Reason : ]

No.Ill push there every time.I love to have him call with A8, or even AK or an underpair.Id rather double up and be chip lead than win the pot and move up like 5 spots. Also, at this point in the tournamnet in a big cash game like this one, you only see flops like 1:15 hands. most pots are uncontestedhand slike KK dont come around often enough not to get a whole lot of value everytime.oh and i plan on playing the 500k on both party and stars today. This is my first week doing so.g/l to you. what is your name on there? I gotta look out. [Edited on December 11, 2005 at 4:13 PM. Reason : e][Edited on December 11, 2005 at 4:14 PM. Reason : e ]

12/11/2005 4:23:08 PM
well that sucked balls.didnt even make the first break in either one.and for what its worth, people calling off their entire stack with bottom pair and hitting thier kicker after being all in on the turn can suck me off
12/11/2005 5:35:20 PM
Yeah, I saw what happened to you on PS. Did you get into it on a sat?

^ Sucking out for all your money is almost always going to happen when you make a run deep into the tournament. Luck often gives you a shot to make that run, skill allows you to convert on that opportunity.

I was playin $100 NL at Elsinore Casino last night. Bunch of drunk hicks there. Easy money.I've found that its best not to try to bluff women. They are used to that shit from guys, and they usually play tighter than guys as well. Trapping them works better for me. So I caught the nut flush on the flop going up against a bull-dyke and an azn chick. I check, the bulldyke bets 20 bucks and the azn calls. I call as well. Turn makes a straight draw on the board. I check, dyke checks, azn goes all in for $60 or so. I make a point to wait for a while, check my cards, act like I don't know what I'm gonna do. Finally I call. Bulldyke takes a long damn time before calling as well, because she's drawing and she already has a good amount of money in the pot.River comes down a random jack. I try to put the dyke all in but she folds.I show the chicks my nuts and take down the ~$250 in the pot. After a little over an hour, I left with $500 bucks. I need to go there more often.

bad beat rant4k Tourny... I'm twice the average stack (7,500). 2nd place chip leader is at my table (21,000).I'm dealt pocket 7's. The leader raises blind from 60 to 180. I call. Everyone folds around. Flop comes 4,3,K rainbow. He bets 120. I raise to 300. He calls. Turn comes 7 (jackpot!). He bets 200, I raise to 500. He raises all-in, I call immediately. He has 3,5. Bottom pair. Of course they give him the 6 for the straight on the river. I would have been an easy seat at the final table...and then like 4 other horrible beats in sitandgo tables. Pocket 10's, flop A,10,K. I make small bet, called by 2 people. turn is an A (money card). Small bet again, reraised all in. I call and dude has A3. The river is another A for quads and the win..fucker.first hand i sit down too at one table...dealt pocket K's, guy under the gun raises blinds from 10 to 200. I go all in. He calls with 64 off suit and flop come 6,8,4...no help on turn. River is a 6 for his full boat. First hand.,, and then he talks shit[Edited on December 12, 2005 at 5:11 PM. Reason : and then panthers ruin a 8 game teaser which would have paid off $200 for a $5 bet ]

Yeah, Elsinore Casino in Riverside. I've been to Pechanga, but I didn't like it that much. It was just too damn clean and sterile. I like a dirty, rundown cardroom with lots of drunk bastards in it. I feel more at home.

That table lineup is news to me... complete redraw last night. Looks like I'll be stealin' Steve Dannenmann's blinds Oh, and SHIT, I hate having Zolotow at my table. He knocked me out of the $3k event (18th) during the WSOP this year. But that's not the reason... it's just that he's a cranky old-timer, and a major stickler for the rules. Also, they have my chip count slightly wrong... I have 80,925, so I'm actually in 45th, right behind Gracz, FWIW.You should note that, me, Dennis, Mike Gracz, and Chris Bell (all of us from Raleigh) are all above avg![Edited on December 13, 2005 at 1:52 PM.
