This would've been a win in 2025. Just gotta give him time to have a dozen or so recruiting classes of HIS OWN. Man, some of you people want a miracle but aren't willing to wait until you're in your mid-40s.

Not upset at losing to a very good Clemson team. Ill give DD/staff credit for having a strong offensive game plan today, just wish our D could make some plays. We just suck at execution on D.

Time for DD to cut bait on Bambard. Let his ass watch from the sideline the rest of the year and maybe he'll rebound next year. The kid can't handle the pressure. Really we have nothing to lose if we let the punter kick. Bombard is now 3/9 with a 36 yarder as his long plus 3-4 failed PATs. Pathetic.

Hope today helps the team realize they can play at a higher level and they roll BC next weekend. Honestly we have played better on the road than at home this year so maybe heading up to shitty old Chestnut Hill will be a good thing for once.

The Bambard miss before the half was huge. Of course the 3&4 playcall before was terrible as well.

Can't really say Clemson had that much more talent than us.

Makes the Louisville/VT games look really bad now.

You clearly didn't watch the game. They outclassed us at every position.

What offensive game plan? At one point late in the game, we were averaging 4 plays/drive. Was our offensive game plan to make more big plays than Clemson? Because that's fucking retarded.

state has had some poor fumble luck. 24 total fumbles, State pick up 7 all season.

The offense put up 34 pts once you factor out Hines TD return. Yeah some of it was a result of some good field position and big plays, but bitching about us putting up 40 plus against a Clemson D that has been stout is pretty weak.

Who gives a shit if we averaged 4 plays per drive as long as we are getting points?

yea thats nonsense, we lost our #1 rb for the 2nd half and still produced (after we had already lost our co #1 rb earlier in the season of course). just makes me wonder where this offense was for Lou/VT games.

he turns back around, points and says something towards the coach as he is headed back towards the field of play. it's pretty plain to see.

doesn't excuse the coach, but watson shouldn't talk shit either.

Watch again bronco especially the up close shot. Watson runs into Kitchens who sort of catches him, Watson turns and starts running his mouth while walking away, Kitchens gives him a little shove. No excuse but no biggie especially with some of the stuff that was going on after the plays were whistled dead on the field.

Ah, stand corrected. Just watched a closer version (over and over on a vine)....it all happens pretty fast. I didn't see him put his hand/finger in the coach's face. Yeah I say just let it go.http://collegespun.com/acc/clemson-acc/video-n-c-state-coach-appears-to-take-a-jab-at-clemsons-deshaun-watson-on-sideline

It is a non story but then you hear Watson in the press conference say "someone kind of took a swing at me and shoved me I don't know why he did it I just walked away." Little shit couldn't admit he was running his mouth as well.

Its bizarre that fans won't show up for a game with championship chances on the line. They had every reason to be excited after a good first half. Things will never be better than yesterday's first half. No program can guarantee that one of the best teams in the country won't potentially lead them by 6 at halftime. If thats the state of our fanbase, all hope is lost.

would the fans jump onto the field and cover wide open receivers too? show that you can win more than 20% of your conference games and the fans might be passionate, like they were under O'Brien, Amato, O'Cain, etc.

That's the thing though. We were a half away from being .500 and in the title hunt until all the fans decided to leave. It goes both ways. We lost a close one to maybe the best team in the country on a neutral field. Most of the top teams might not be top teams without amazing homefield advantages. Clemson fans stuck it out in a monsoon against nd even though they have lost the division to fsu the past 3 years but we can't even deal with a missed fg.

While the alleged fan support, especially in the 2nd half, was weak according to the announcers (I didn't see any pictures from late in the 4th quarter of the stands), blaming the fans for your team losing is about the lamest thing ever.

i was surprised more folks didn't come back in after half. but yeah...fan support isn't the reason we lost to, arguably, the best team in the country. fan support ain't got nothing to do with us being 4-17, or whatever it is, in ACC games over the last 2.5 years.

^^ well at least with respect to yesterday... the fans couldn't help:
-missing FG
-2 onside kicks with over 10 minutes left in a game stilll within reach (and failing both, of course)
-getting scorched all night in pass defense
-middle run plays with 15+ to go for a first
-dayes getting hurt
-the oline playing... well they were on the field anyway
-brisket, for all his positives, still holding the ball and missing open receivers

there were lines just to get to the stands yesterday at 3:30. fan support wasn't a problem, but it inevitably fades after enough frustration

[Edited on November 1, 2015 at 4:02 PM. Reason : also clemson aint a bad team as much as i dont like them ]

Sure, all relevant points, but at the same time you can't sit there and tell me that energy and atmosphere don't play into the end results on the field. Seattle's 12th man isn't some ambiguous BS they concocted just for shits and giggles. A loud and supportive home crowd can inspire a team to perform better just as much as good coaching. Furthermore they can be intimidating and disrupt communication to opponents on the field.

But no, none of that could possibly have an effect on our team or in our home stadium. Our fans are perfect. It's all on the coach and the players.

ehh...they were scoring with ease no matter where they started on the field. i'm totally fine with taking a chance on those. it certainly isn't conventional though.

losses are always on the players and coaches. fan support obviously does matter. but it's 100% the job of the players and coaches to execute and win no matter how many or how few people are in the stands.
