"Andrew Schulz? I sent my neighbor phill a video of him. Schulz is upset with trump that the epstein thing was bogus, phill feels the same way"

What is Phill going to do about it? What kind of introspective changes will be making as a result?

If I was a betting man, I would say nothing / none.

"Axios: House Dems have procedural tools to try to save PBS and NPR but refuse to use them.

“House Democrats are largely shooing away the idea of trying to make Republicans miss their deadline to codify around $9 billion in DOGE cuts to public broadcasting and foreign aid, Axios has learned...” 1/
“At a press conference on Thursday, House Minority Leader @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social (D-N.Y.) demurred when asked if he would pull a repeat of the record-breaking eight hour, 44 minute speech …” 2/
They are complying in advance instead of fighting.
“But there is a widespread belief among Democrats, including leadership, that the Trump administration would simply ignore or side-step that deadline…”
Then Axios gets to the real reason. Democratic leaders don’t want their lives to be inconvenienced.

“Members "would be really unhappy," if Jeffries gave a long speech "after what he did on July 4," a third House Democrat said on the condition of anonymity...”
“Some lawmakers were frustrated that Jeffries spoke for nearly nine hours after his team maintained he would only go for about one, forcing them to scramble to reschedule flights ahead of the July 4 recess.…”
Then the worst part: Dem leaders shrug us off.

“The base doesn't even give a s*** about this. The rescissions thing is not on their radar," arguing that if the grassroots does take notice of it, "they'll forget about it two days later.”
"You can't feed that beast," they said.”

You. Can’t. What???
You should be deeply angry at House leadership for not fighting.

Axios lays out what we’ve been saying for months: some in the House want to fight but leadership wants to tell us — the base — to F off so they can capitulate and don’t have to change their lives.
Some people here say that those of us that call for fighting are just looking for clout or attention. What?! No, we care about the country. It’s a real shame that the D leaders are given up in this Weimar way.

Glad that Axios finally reported on this.
Also, Axios was founded by Republicans, and has the DC Big Media deference to Republicans and loves to report on Dems in Disarray.

But this is a real thing not made up. @aoc.bsky.social and @pocan.house.gov and other House Want-to-Fight Dems can confirm.
“Hakeem Jeffries should use his magic minute [hours long speech] to continue driving the Epstein wedge. For hours and hours.” To delay and possibly kill the PBS defunding bill.

Unacceptable if accurate.

In exchange for $75M of aid for Haiti and Nigeria...doesn't seem like nearly enough:

Quote :
"Shaheen worked out a deal with Risch and the Trump administration to unlock previously authorized spending, including $25 million for Nigeria and $50 million for Haiti in food and medical assistance, according to a Shaheen adviser.
"In a Situation Room filled with people like Vice President Vance and Under Secretary Colby, who want to retreat from the world, and like Secretary Hegseth, I think we're better off having someone like Mike Waltz present," Shaheen said in a statement provided to Axios.
"That is particularly true when you consider the alternatives to Mr. Waltz as a nominee," she said.
"And I welcome the Administration's commitment to distribute $75 million of lifesaving assistance.""

Dems are so shitty at this

Don't want to waste a gift article link. Sorry not sorry. Anyways, I obviously side with Masto and Klobuchar on this. Dude didn't even attend meeting where it passed unanimously.

How did they feel about him before? I couldn't find any evidence of an endorsement.

He is quite safe in district 99 and has a history of voting with Republicans.

Has been taking money from Duke Energy for years, nobody cares.
