haha yeah. Plus this only uses people who use dating websites. I don't think these people typically have a lot of sexual partners.

looks like custom roms may be in the near future for the Droid X. http://alldroid.org/Default.aspx?tabid=40&g=posts&m=6671#post6671

so basically iPhone users are hoes and probably have more std's?

I can't get Swype to function on Evo w/froyo so I've been using a modified version of HTC's keyboard and can type pretty damn fast on it.I do love Swype, but I'm not missing it as much as I thought I would when I first got my Evo.

ok, you lost me at "I don't think these people typically have a lot of sexual partners."

Droid 2 hands-on. Looks a little sluggish in the app drawer and menus. Probably due to the lwp running.
8/11/2010 4:15:30 PM
for any Evo/Android users who are having issues with their battery life, check this link out.http://www.goodandevo.net/2010/05/20-tips-to-improve-htc-evo-4g-battery-life.htmlI tried out a number of those suggestions, and now when my phone is in standby the battery life graph in juiceplotter is a truly flat line. Of course it still sucks down power like a champ when you're using the phone, but at least you won't waste any while on standby. Seems like apps running in the background and connecting to the network play a large role (at least that's what it looked like to me). I set my advanced task killer to do an automatic task kill (crazy setting) whenever the display goes off. That was just one thing I did out of 10 others, but I think it helped.
8/11/2010 8:06:04 PM
my phone survived, but grows increasingly less user-friendly day by day. so make my choice for me.the smaller, lighter phone with a little bit worse battery life I can get in a few daysthe larger, faster phone with a little better battery life I have to wait a few weeks forHELP ME TWW

just installed launcher pro on my droid x because i was having the same issues as Azaka. is there any way to use the dial, app drawer and contacts widgets that came loaded on the phone when i got it? i looked through preferences but didn't see any way to change it. did i miss something?
8/11/2010 9:03:32 PM
If you long press on the phone icon you'll get some options, one of them is change icon. If you can find the original icon you can use it but I don't know where it is.
8/11/2010 9:05:56 PM
i guess you can't use the default motorola icons. that's kinda lame. this has definitely helped the scrolling issues a little bit, but i'm really pissed off that this thing ran so smoothly up until a few days ago. is this something froyo will fix?
8/11/2010 9:19:29 PM
im hoping froyo fixes the facebook picture auto-sync, ive got all the settings the way they should be it'll only sync like 8% of the people w/ my phone contacts right now, and my blackberry tour did it just fine
8/11/2010 9:30:45 PM
Get the app Syncmypix.
8/11/2010 9:59:47 PM

Does anyone know of a good todo list type of app that puts items on my calendar that are "all day" items, but they carryover indefinitely, until I check them off?
8/11/2010 10:35:45 PM
^Does the tasks function of Gmail not do what you're looking for? You can assign due dates for them and they will show up on your Google Calendar. On an unrelated note, I just installed Launcher Pro on my Incredible. I was afraid it would cause issues with the Sense stuff but nope, I can switch between them whenever I want. It's great, I wish I had installed it sooner[Edited on August 11, 2010 at 10:46 PM. 8/11/2010 10:45:10 PM
I like ADW Launcher and LiveHome better than LauncherPro
8/11/2010 11:00:50 PM
Really? Why do you say that? The app drawer in Launcher Pro is a little touchy but other than that it's been perfect. On a different note I think I'm going to take my DX back on Friday when I get back in town and switch to an Incredible. Maybe I can keep switching every 30 days until something amazing comes out.
8/11/2010 11:20:05 PM

Looks a lot smoother without the live wallpaper. Who knows how long that'll last though.

no voice actions without 2.2

"http://techcrunch.com/2010/08/12/google-voice-actions/Search the market for "Voice Search""So whats the difference between this app and the old voice search? i'm looking for a change log or something, because i've been using "call bob mobile" and "navigate to costco" for a while now
8/12/2010 3:02:52 PM
anyone know what im doing wrong here. Ive got my main gmail account synced but also a secondary account. both show up in calendar, but I only get alerts from the main account, not the secondary, when an event is coming up.
8/12/2010 3:18:21 PM
^^they just expanded the number of functions
8/12/2010 3:22:42 PM
while i'm glad i looked at this thread so i can get my voice actions back, it now either takes an extra click to do a voice search through the navigation OR if it cannot understand my words through voice search by itself i will have to then open navigation and type it outit used to be where i clicked speak and the prompt came up, now i click speak and another prompt comes up where i have to click speak again...just seems like an unnecessary step
8/12/2010 4:42:16 PM
click on the microphone on the google search bar, it's ONE click and speak.
8/12/2010 4:52:22 PM
anyone have any good ncsu images that will work for the lock screen?
8/12/2010 6:35:41 PM
its usually one click and speak but sometimes it absolutely has no idea what im saying and thats when things get hairy, trust me i use it at least 40 times a day delivering pizza
8/12/2010 10:40:16 PM
you need directions 40 times a day? i thought only the new pizza guys needed directions
8/13/2010 12:18:02 AM
