everything about that gif is amazing, but I like the bench boys who jump to their feet then slowly sit back down after that hideous layup comes nowhere close to the basket
1/29/2013 4:52:08 PM
^ hahaha hadn't noticed that because of the terribleness of the layup attempt. amazing.
1/29/2013 4:57:24 PM
How does a kid who was an all-american high school player miss a layup that badly? Also, I just looked at his wiki page and found some funny stuff
1/29/2013 5:02:29 PM
^^^ My favorite is the coach on the left with the furious double facepalm and leg slap
1/29/2013 5:05:56 PM
HA ^ That is awesome
1/29/2013 5:27:05 PM
lol the bench boys stood up like they were expecting a dunk

^ i dont even know what to say about that.I just cant imagine a grown fucking man sitting at his computer and typing that out and hitting submit. What the fuck is wrong with that school, the song "Name" by the Goo Goo Dolls is less gay than that post. im mad at that gif because its why we weren't a good team. giving up easy layups and hoping that happens.

So I went on IC yesterday after the baseball game to look for any asinine comments. Despite our 15 game win streak, the consensus is that Rodon was moved to Saturday in order to concede Friday's game and ensure a win Saturday. Not the point. There was an ad for Kraft that pictured a shirtless guy holding a bottle of salad dressing with the words, "Let's get zesty." Can't make this stuff up.
4/28/2013 12:39:53 PM
Lol Rodon got moved to Saturday after his poor start against BC 2 weeks back. I like him getting moved to Saturdays though, Stone is the closest thing we have to a #2 so moving Rodon to Saturdays helps the BP get a day off between Fri and Sun.
4/28/2013 2:30:43 PM
I give you all props for following college baseball to that extent. True fans.
4/28/2013 3:54:48 PM
^Haha true. Any sort of success would do. Yow's done a good job with the Olympic sports. We should be a top 25 athletics program in the near future. But nowhere near the likes of Stanford, UCLA, Tennessee and Michigan though[Edited on April 28, 2013 at 4:04 PM. Reason : ..]
4/28/2013 4:02:56 PM
So basically getting rings made for last year should mean IC has no fucking right to ever talk shit about the fourth place parade.Cancelled out patheticness.
4/30/2013 11:09:16 AM
the best part of it is "SMART"
4/30/2013 4:18:17 PM
SMRT
4/30/2013 4:25:56 PM
I might have left the "8-4" off
4/30/2013 4:35:55 PM
Yeah...no point in putting a record if it isn't something impressive. Although, I guess 8-4 for UNC is pretty impressive.
4/30/2013 4:40:04 PM
LOL that ring is lame as fuck. I cannot believe that actually paid to have those made. Does the ACC actually recognize them as the Coastal champions for 2012?
4/30/2013 4:52:55 PM
^Of course they don't.
4/30/2013 5:08:16 PM
Just ask the fans if they attended the ACC championship game.
4/30/2013 5:12:31 PM
So, the NCAA basically doesn't give a rat's ass that UNC is violating the terms of their probation and bowl ban, right? Jesus
4/30/2013 7:12:46 PM
To me, rings for no reason sounds like improper benefits, to me.
4/30/2013 7:14:27 PM
^ that makes some sense^^ that doesn't.
4/30/2013 8:26:13 PM
^^Schools are allowed to give out awards like that as long as they are under a certain cost, something around $200 or so. It's in the NCAA manual.Which means it's mostly aluminum or tin or something.
4/30/2013 8:32:18 PM
^^^^ what are those "terms"?look, it's stupid, but who gives a shit?it's as good as a trophy at an end of the season awards banquet it means absolutely nothing[Edited on April 30, 2013 at 8:34 PM. Reason : beat me by a few seconds]
4/30/2013 8:33:39 PM
maybe I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that under probation and postseason bans, schools aren't allowed to claim any kind of championships. am I taking crazy pills here?
4/30/2013 8:37:10 PM
So what are your thoughts about a banner for being undefeated a year you were on probation?
4/30/2013 8:40:47 PM
Completely different, Joe Ovies. Not even in the same ballpark. Same as hanging a banner for making the tournament. It would be more like us hanging a banner saying National Champs because no one beat us that year. [Edited on April 30, 2013 at 8:42 PM. Reason : add another note]
4/30/2013 8:41:39 PM
teams are free to claim whatever they want, it just doesn't mean dick if it's not league-sanctionedwhich it's not and never will be
4/30/2013 8:42:14 PM
Its not like some other school can hang up a '1973 NC State Undefeated' Banner though.Miami can hang the same banner and give out the same rings if they wanted[Edited on April 30, 2013 at 8:43 PM. Reason : up a few]
4/30/2013 8:43:01 PM
Don't get me wrong, I think it's fucking dumb and pathetic... But they certainly arent violating probation [or a bowl ban -- obviously]
4/30/2013 8:45:21 PM
Somebody posted something on here a couple months ago, when UNC first started all their claims of being divisional champs, which quoted the NCAA's probation documentation, and you could make the case that they are violating it. I can't remember the specifics, lemme see if I can find it real quick.message_topic.aspx?topic=605225&page=62#15676353]
4/30/2013 9:28:18 PM
I listened to Ovies today too!Isn't "Coastal Champions" an official title that they're illegitimately claiming via billboards and rings? It doesn't seem the same as hanging a banner in our arena that says "undefeated" (when we were undefeated). Or using the slogan "this is our state" (after beating the other nc fb schools).[Edited on April 30, 2013 at 9:31 PM. Reason : ]
4/30/2013 9:30:11 PM
Hanging a banner for an undefeated season =/= making a ring for an 8-4 season and claiming to be a divisional champion. this is a clear violation and the NCAA is further proving their complaisance
4/30/2013 9:38:56 PM
we should get rings for atlantic division champs, just as valid
4/30/2013 9:53:34 PM
Can Notre Dame get some ACC championship bling? I mean, at least they played in a championship game.
4/30/2013 11:25:22 PM
Ohio State already ordered their BCS national championship trophies from last year
4/30/2013 11:26:17 PM
UNC taking credit for something they didn't actually accomplish? Now THAT'S the Carolina way.
4/30/2013 11:33:06 PM
I would have less of a problem with the ring if it said something to the effect of "1st Place in Coastal Division". The champion of the Coastal Division goes on to play in the ACCCG...UNC did not, therefore they were not the the division winner. But I don't blame UNC for having these made...they'll be something to show to recruits I guess (except for the 8-4 overall record lol)
5/1/2013 12:23:27 AM
regular season coastal division champs
5/1/2013 4:09:39 AM
they're getting ready to talk about UNC's rings on College Football Live on ESPN in just a minute
5/1/2013 3:41:23 PM
Thanks Shoot! They done? They're talking about VT now
