Good for you Earl. Now let's hear more about your Wild Things fantasies.Hope CJL finds his niche. I can't help but like him. [Edited on May 4, 2013 at 9:19 AM. Reason : add another note]

Inside rumor at Sports Illustrated is that KFC will officially take CJ on as front man for advertising starting 2014, in an attempt to out-compete McCreery-based increases in BoJos sales.]

While CJ sits out at the combine with a wrist injury, will Calvin wow the interviewers?
5/15/2013 9:13:16 AM
As long as subway doesn't cater the interviews.
5/15/2013 9:55:46 AM
Sounds like Calvin showed up today...
5/17/2013 3:42:42 PM
is that a good vert ?
5/17/2013 3:54:56 PM
Yeah basically he can almost touch the shotclock without getting a running start.
5/17/2013 3:59:38 PM
pfft i can jump higher than that.but seriously, this isn't really surprising, he has always been the best athlete on the court, no matter what team we've played.
5/17/2013 4:00:36 PM
cancerous athleticism
5/17/2013 5:27:22 PM
do they test basketball iq at said combine?
5/17/2013 5:39:23 PM
Shane Larkin had a 44 inch vertical thats unbelievable. Highest in like ten years. Vince carter was 43 at the combine. What the hell I dont remember him being that powerful of an athlete just a great defenderHowell was in fact only 6'6 like we always thought
5/17/2013 6:52:55 PM
best center of all time under 6'7
5/17/2013 6:59:05 PM
^^ howell has been pretty up front about his height. saying things like "i'm not going to say anything shorter than 6'8"."
5/18/2013 3:30:52 AM
Wes Unseld is the greatest short center of all time, by farand Chuck Hayes has played center in the pros and he's way better than Howell
5/18/2013 5:15:50 AM
Hayes averaged 11 8 2 2 and 1 his senior year at 242 poundsHowell averaged 13 11 2 1 and 1 at 257 poundsClearly better.
5/18/2013 11:49:56 AM
Yeah howell can still make a roster. I forsee him in the d league first but his rebound rate is SO high and he has developed some moves. How crazy would it be if they all four make a roster and we go from 1 nba player to 5 virtually overnight
5/18/2013 11:55:26 AM
yeah i think howell has a very good chance of being a rotation player in the NBA.he is an exceptional rebounder, and while height helps when it comes to rebounding, skill is waaaay more important.he also showed this year he can make shots from 15-18 feet, which is huge because you aren't going to play in the NBA if you can't shoot.
5/18/2013 2:45:09 PM
probably doesn't belong in this thread, but wanted to point out that Carrick Felix was measured at 3.3% body fat. Lowest at the combine
5/18/2013 2:52:09 PM
also ryan kelly was the biggest fatty.
5/18/2013 2:55:04 PM
5/18/2013 7:48:05 PM
Those bodyfat percentages are way off. 3.3% lol he wouldn't have the strength to tie his shoes let alone jump up and down
5/18/2013 8:01:23 PM
If I remember correctly, Eddie George had something like 3% body fat and he was a freak. It's not unheard of among athletes of that caliber.
5/18/2013 9:31:04 PM
recently of note, George Hill came in at 3% and Terrence Ross at 3.2%
5/18/2013 10:49:56 PM
wrestlers, even in high school, have ridiculous body fat %'s and can be athletic freaks. i highly doubt i ever got -that- low, but it's believable. iirc, a friend of mine measured in right at 3%.
5/19/2013 1:05:48 AM
That game reminded me of CJ's poem. She finally came.
5/26/2013 2:07:23 AM
Haha no it isnt. Calipers are shitty measurements. They might be like 8-10%

scrollin down facebook and see thishttp://www.nba.com/suns/video/2013/06/07/leslie130607wmv-2502420
6/7/2013 7:05:59 PM
Well to be fair the suns are one of the absolute worst teams when it comes to evaluating talent so he has a good shot of landing there. The thing that really hurts his chances of going round one is that good teams draft at the end and are looking for guys who can help them win immediately or raw guys they can stash in Europe and possibly use/trade later .Leslie cant help anyone now so hes the type of player bad teams will take a flyer on just to see if his freakish athleticism ever translates into being a productive player. In other words. 2nd round. I mean the Spurs as a team commit less turnovers than Leslie did in the first half vs unc. He has no offensive game in the nba and he couldn't even defend college players. Out of the league within 2-3 years. Save your money man

I hope he turns it around and starts someday in the NBA. To be fair, most of us were phuckups all through undergrad years, so why cant CJL be the same??
6/8/2013 7:46:12 PM
Just too unlikely. His freshman year was his wake up call. How many guys go on to have a successful pro career coming off a poor Junior season? The talent level jump from college to the nba is almost as significant as high school to college. Guys who are great college players struggle all the time to make the leap. The chances of a borderline starter quality ACC big man becoming a good nba player are ridiculously low. And to top that off he doesn't have the most important thing size or one of the most important things shooting. Combined with below average rebounder/defender? How can he contribute?
6/8/2013 8:45:28 PM

Here's an article telling people CJL is amazing and leaves out all of his downsides.http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1688649-cj-leslie-should-make-new-york-knicks-roster-despite-going-undrafted
6/30/2013 9:56:43 AM
the guy never seems humble. which is not like a NCST pro athlete.
6/30/2013 11:02:01 AM
Yes, he sulked too much and was inconsistent with his intensity resulting from his sulking and mental lapses, but i didn't see all the "cancerous character flaws" some of yall saw, and never got the impression that he was overly arrogant.[Edited on June 30, 2013 at 12:00 PM. Reason : ]
6/30/2013 11:49:39 AM
I think some of the lapses, breakdowns, mental errors can possibly be attributed to fatigue from playing extended minutes over the course of an entire season. Its a shame gottfried never gave jevoni a spot in the rotation when it was apparent we couldn't win games as currently constructed.
6/30/2013 11:54:51 AM
Face it , face. Jevani was a bench player. He never played because his fundamentals were worse than any of our rotation.[Edited on June 30, 2013 at 12:11 PM. Reason : .]

I still think its fair to say we would've been better off utilizing him. It was clear we couldn't compete we needed t lo try something to salvage the season
