His interviews and speeches are much much worse when read. Listening to them is bad enough, but Jesus on paper? Ugh.

https://twitter.com/lopezlinette/status/859096500105826307Trump presidency in two pictures. No coherent view. No idea what actual policy might be.And certain Twitter uses are correct in that if you ask Trump about X, he will say he is looking at X. This is exactly what Bloomberg did. The market barely even reacted. 100 days in and his diarrhea barely moves markets anymore. Sad!If I thought he was serious about any further banking reform I'd give him credit. But he isnt.[Edited on May 1, 2017 at 1:36 PM. Reason : X]

This is just underlining why he gives so few real interviews. They have to keep him off camera as much as possible to hide his personality.

Yet his supporters still support him. You guys still don't get it. None of you. The arrogance of liberal elitism being demonstrated on the last page+half is exactly why he was elected. Your critique of Trump may be correct but it also reflects his supporters (aka the majority of the nation) who support him. In a democracy, criticism of the political official as a person (i'm not just talking about criticising one mistake) is really a criticism of the constituents who support him. When you say he's a con man that reflets more as you saying the voters were conned. When you say he can't speak that reflects as you saying anyone who isn't a polished ivy-league type speaker, isn't credible....and those are just some of the good-hearted statements. Most democrats are still calling anyone who voted for trump racist or just plain stupid. They aren't hearing what you are saying and that is the definition of being out of touch.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/01/us/politics/trump-cbs-interview.htmlhow is his approval rating even 40%...?the andrew jackson thing doesn't bother me. It's certainly a grossly uninformed opinion, but trump was just saying IF Jackson were somehow born later and still alive, Trump thinks he would have been able to stop the civil war. The implication being Jackson would have used brutality tactics like Erdogan/Gadaffi/Assad uses to crush dissent.People are misreading it, maybe helping trump, but painting it as Trump not knowing history, or not realizing jackson was dead.[Edited on May 1, 2017 at 4:17 PM. If you go by the numbers, you would be incorrect in saying the majority of the nation supports Trump. He lost the popular vote. He was elected by a minority.

Don't 40% of Americans also believe that the world is less than 6,000 years old? I assume these same people are Trump supporters.
5/1/2017 6:09:42 PM
To continue my comment:Some conservatives are known for often claiming that only they are "real" Americans. Why doesn't THAT elitism cost them elections? I'm not necessarily saying you are wrong, tulsigabbard, but quite obviously the faults you attribute to the left are also applicable to the right. Why would it backfire only on the left?

When I said some conservatives act as if only they are REAL Americans, I was referring to Trump supporters. I do see what you are saying about anger/resentment directed toward the past establishment, but Trump IS the current establishment now. His supporters are demonstrating their own brand of elitism. Elitism has never been a one way street among these parties, whether it is (Bernie vs Establishment Democrats) vs (Trump vs Establishment Republicans). I see elitism in all four branches.

Trump is the biggest snowflake there is. He can't even answer questions regarding hi own accusations:https://www.facebook.com/newblueunited/videos/1549653861722846/?hc_ref=NEWSFEEDIn reference to the post above, It is time to consider the 25th Amendment.
5/2/2017 8:16:41 AM
Why?What tangible reason is there? Being a moron and spewing nonsense isnt grounds for removal as far as I can see.
5/2/2017 8:43:22 AM
If he actually has some sort of dimentia it is.

Regarding E-man/Tulsi's first post on this page, do I agree with the idea that beatsunc or JCE voted for Trump because he was called sexist after "grab em by the pussy" or when he was called a con-man after the Trump-U facts were coming to light? Nah. They were going to vote for him because he was a Republican or because they agree with the wall or the SC seat or they hate the ACA or whatever. However, I think E-man/Tulsi is right in the sense that, even if Clinton won the presidency, the democrats still are more disconnected with the US people then republicans. There was a poll that was released recently that i didn't see discussed on here that basically said the american people think Democratic's are more out of touch then republicans's or Trump with people's concern.http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/president-trump-100-days-honeymoon-regrets-poll/story?id=46943338I know polling can be somewhat unreliable but that's cause for concern if you're a democrat. I'd like to say that Trump folks are doubling down on Trump and Conservatives stand up for the party more than liberals and the progressive wing of the Democratic party is justifiably pissed off with the rest of the Democratic party, but that's wishful thinking at best. If Clinton had won, Republicans would still have both House and Senate majorities and she would have faced more obstruction than Obama faced in his last 6 years in office.I don't know how to end this other than to say the Democratic party needs to change drastically if they want to make a big splash in the 2018 midterms and ultimately remove Trump in 2020.[Edited on May 2, 2017 at 8:55 AM. We need to break up the two party system, is what we need. This will never happen though.
5/2/2017 9:12:19 AM
Anybody have any idea what's the closest we've come to getting away from the 2 party system? I want to say the election of 1860, but there has got to be others.

Following the Dickerson interview, Colbert referred to Trump's mouth as a cock holster for Putin.
5/2/2017 12:58:17 PM
I don't think Trump is so stupid that the metaphor went over his head. I just don't think he knew how to answer the question.
5/2/2017 2:04:59 PM
^ he's definitely too stupid to understand. If it was anyone else I'd give them the benefit that maybe they were tired, but I think trump is just an intellectually dumb person.

What does "But there's nobody out there" even mean in this context? The only clear, correct meaning I can get out of it is that Trump literally went to the trouble to look for someone hiding in the Oval Office and failed to find anyone. Because he knows damn well that his presidency is under media scrutiny.

Already out there preemptive tweeting about the Comey hearings over the next couple days. Is he just not smart enough to keep his mouth shut? Or is this a bad attempt to discredit/head off any news he's afraid Comey will report?
