Yeah, and then Robb sends Grey Wind after The Hound. Epic death scene ftw!

ffffffuuuuuuuuuuccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk I like how there was no music over the credits, however.
6/2/2013 9:57:59 PM
how was that not the finale
6/2/2013 10:14:18 PM
WELP.
6/2/2013 10:21:07 PM
I'm not surprised it wasn't the finale - they didn't wait til the finale to chop off Ned's head. There were so many moments where I was all and I still get sad when I see any of the animals die. RIP Grey Wind

Episode 9 is always the episode of this showanyway, now you all know what "Red Wedding" refers to[Edited on June 2, 2013 at 11:01 PM. Reason : Walder gave them bread and salt, too ]
6/2/2013 10:57:28 PM
I'd like to point out that the look on Edmure's face when Walder was introducing his daughters was pretty funny.
6/2/2013 11:22:45 PM
i have a huge crush on the Hound
6/2/2013 11:50:11 PM
Rob was just too young and inexperienced at leading. Made some many mistakes you figure it catch up with him at some point. It was hard to tell when Jon Snow was fighting. But I he didn't see the other wolves (bran and Rickon's wolve). I guess it was just his wolf that help. Also he killed every body but one so why run??
6/3/2013 12:04:17 AM
^ ghost is still beyond the wall. That was shaggydog and summer. And he didnt kill everyone, tormund and ygritte were still very much alive. And tormund would rape jon snow in a fight
6/3/2013 12:07:31 AM
10-4. But Jon plus 2 wolves!?! Also if he saw the wolves wouldn't he think his brothers are near by?
6/3/2013 12:11:09 AM
lol. that owned
6/3/2013 12:11:29 AM
6/3/2013 12:21:14 AM
Jon wouldn't have heard that though, would he?
6/3/2013 12:22:17 AM
Yes, they get ravens at the wall
6/3/2013 12:40:19 AM
So what happened in the city for Khaleesi to get it so easy? I know he said "You were right." but what was after that? All the slave-guards just put down their swords after these 3 guys killed 10 of em?
6/3/2013 12:46:04 AM

awesome episode
6/3/2013 1:59:26 AM
I realized last night that Blackfish wasn't in the hall when all that shit went down, nor was what's his face (bro who got married). I would imagine they're going to do something to him, but I'm pretty sure Blackfish gon' get some revenge
6/3/2013 7:22:08 AM
Yes he conveniently left to find a tree to piss on, and seems they need Edmure alive (for now) to make a Frey/Tully baby to inherit Riverrun. Though they're killing everyone so why not just take it? Wondered the same thing when they said Sansa marrying Tyrion was the key to the North.
6/3/2013 7:23:39 AM
6/3/2013 7:56:06 AM
kill the heir and anyone can lay claim. force a marriage on the heir and the claim is legally yours. a lot easier.
6/3/2013 8:03:31 AM
I now wonder how more shocking this episode would have been if I hadn't seen the words "red wedding" oh so many many many pages back. But...I saw it. Curiosity got the best of me so I was spoiled. Should have started reading the books then and there so that I could have had a book v show comparison appreciation and reaction bc as such i'm just "eh..."I have no one to blame but myself.
6/3/2013 8:19:25 AM
Definitely an insanely awesome and shocking episode. I'm glad i wasn't one of the victims of these stupid book elitists who constantly want to show how cool they are by dropping spoilers for everyone else.
6/3/2013 10:01:37 AM
so, people who read the books = elitistreading, you guys should try it some timemost of us didn't post spoilers, in fact more of us prevented it for your sakes
6/3/2013 10:24:44 AM
I'm glad I have stayed away from the spoilers, because that was the best episode yet and wouldn't have been so if you had known it was coming.
6/3/2013 10:39:27 AM
I had one of the deaths spoiled a couple of months ago, but had no idea when/how. So I was on edge right up to the end.
6/3/2013 10:48:45 AM
both me and my gf were stunned at the ending. i kinda figured something bad was going to happen as that has been the track record for episode 9's but i just didn't know what or who, etc. that slaughter was not what i expected by any means and i just sat there in disbelief of what happened.going forward, i would say the rebellion/uprising just ended with the death of Rob. i'm curious to see how things play out with the remaining allies and how the power dynamic shifts even more. i'd like to see if/how Littlefinger is affected by the grotesque murder of his beloved Cat; i would think when he gets news of it he's not going to be happy..also, Arya and The Hound? crime-fighting duo in the future? lol. as much as she hates him and wants him dead, i see an odd relationship forming between them. i can't wait to see how that story progresses.
6/3/2013 11:03:25 AM
Just remembered this video.

when they started playing rains of castamere, it triggered my memory of the books from when i read them a billion years agoi was all OOOO SHIT ITS ABOUT TO GO DOWN[Edited on June 3, 2013 at 11:46 AM. Reason : also, the woman with fatty black crow is really good at acting stupid]
6/3/2013 11:45:17 AM
idk if we really know if littlefinger ever actually loved cat. if we assume he didn't then he wouldn't care if she dies, especially if it advances his own agenda. if we assume he did, than its likely he'd want to see her dead after refusing him so many times since hes kind of an asshole like that.
6/3/2013 11:47:30 AM
it was pretty shocking because of the intense violence but i don't think it really hit me emotionally due to a combination of those deaths being intentionally, maliciously spoiled in this thread last year and robb being really boring this season
6/3/2013 11:57:01 AM
i laughed when it happened [Edited on June 3, 2013 at 11:59 AM. Reason : 9]
6/3/2013 11:59:10 AM
^^^he seems like he could be one of those guys with the mindset of "if i can't have her then no one can"
6/3/2013 12:11:49 PM
I think Rains of Castamere is in my head from the Lannister backstory history by CBG19, but just curious how that was translated from the books? I definitely knew something was up when the music switched because of the other cues as well, but other than O SHIT MINOR CHORDS I wouldn't have picked it out. After writing that ^ I found people playing it last year, so I guess it rolled in the credits. Would there have been some like supplemental sheet music with the book series or did they finally compose it for the Blackwater episode? Also didn't realize the title of this episode either.
6/3/2013 12:26:10 PM
^^ yep. see also: roz.^ it was in the credits of the ep where Jamie got his hand cut off iirc. tbh im rarely a fan of songs from books being brought into reality and this ones no exception. I don't care for it which is made worse by the fact that its been stuck in my head all goddamn day.
6/3/2013 12:39:12 PM
It's sung by the national in the credits of Blackwater and is played in the credits of the episode where Jaime rescues Brienne from the bear pit. It's also played softly over cersei's conversation with margaery about it.
6/3/2013 1:10:56 PM
Also Tyrion whistles it a couple of times in season 2, Bronn and some Lannister soldiers sing it before the Blackwater battle, and Thoros is singing it the first time we see him. They did a good job establishing it, I think.
6/3/2013 1:17:17 PM
and cersei tells margaery the story behind it before sansa's wedding
6/3/2013 1:34:13 PM
ah whoops.
