The only thing Tab Ramos is known for is being elbowed by a vastly superior soccer player. That was pretty random even given the title of this thread.[Edited on July 3, 2011 at 11:05 PM. Reason : I just found out he was NC State alum. Carry on...]

Just to point out how much classier CONMEBOL is than CONCACAF - all the Copa America games are available live on YouTube.

you can't hide money.
7/5/2011 1:33:53 PM
Elaborate.
7/5/2011 1:36:17 PM

Bradley no longer coachhttp://www.ussoccer.com/News/Mens-National-Team/2011/07/Bradleys-Tenure-Ends.aspx
7/28/2011 2:52:24 PM
Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Didn't see that coming. Weird time to fire him. Wonder who we'll get to replace him? Please fire Gulati next...
7/28/2011 2:54:02 PM
Huzzah!!
7/28/2011 3:06:44 PM
Looks like they will announce who the new coach is tomorrow
7/28/2011 3:29:45 PM
if that rumor about Marcello Lippi is true...Then I will take back all the bad stuff I said about Gulati.
7/28/2011 3:38:51 PM
I will too.
7/28/2011 3:40:01 PM
He's still a dumb shit for extending that contract last summer. I wonder how much money that's going to cost the USSF
7/28/2011 3:42:31 PM
^was just thinking the same thing. why keep him on for another year? if you're going to make a decision, make it after the world cup.
7/28/2011 4:20:02 PM
it's got to be a big hire if it's already lined up, right?
7/28/2011 4:47:05 PM
I think it has to be Klinsmann.
7/28/2011 4:49:43 PM
i'm so happy about this news, bob bradley was the epitome of mediocre soccer
7/28/2011 4:51:40 PM
My guess is Sigi Schmid.
7/28/2011 4:54:13 PM
This news has made my day. Better than Butch Davis or Baddour getting fired.
7/28/2011 4:55:27 PM
Does this mean little Bradley doesn't get to play every game any more?
7/28/2011 5:01:51 PM
i'm hoping klinsmann, is he still available? i think michael bradley will still start, he's still one of our better players, even if he played kinda shitty in the gold cup.
7/28/2011 5:04:42 PM
^^considering he is one of our best players, doubtful... however, I bet it means edu gets a fair shot now. For some reason, he never could get any PT with bradley[Edited on July 28, 2011 at 5:05 PM. Reason : d]
7/28/2011 5:05:19 PM
where are you reading about new coach rumors?
7/28/2011 5:27:00 PM
twittera lot of guys saying it's probably Klinsmann. I'm okay with that, if he gets the control he wanted and blows up our system top to bottom. May not pay immediate dividends but we'll be set up better for the future than if we just paper over the cracks with another successful MLS coach

i'm sure it was good coffee
7/28/2011 5:55:20 PM

i'm gonna be pissed when jason kreis is named coach.

7/29/2011 12:20:22 PM
Nice!
7/29/2011 12:31:03 PM
i'm very excited about this.
7/29/2011 12:31:07 PM
Calm down, simonn.
7/29/2011 12:34:04 PM
party like it's 2006!
7/29/2011 12:54:24 PM
I think this is very good. Someone who has had success as a coach and player both internationally and at the club level in Europe. If he doesn't get run off for some stupid reason, this could be a major turning point in the direction of US soccer.
7/29/2011 1:08:14 PM

its the other way[Edited on July 29, 2011 at 4:59 PM. Reason : ]
7/29/2011 4:59:16 PM
finally, we're gonna play some attacking soccer.
7/29/2011 5:04:34 PM
7/29/2011 5:06:40 PM
Stoked.
7/29/2011 6:26:49 PM
so awesome, he's a class manager (and commentator) and i think our players can do really well under him.
7/29/2011 6:32:42 PM
I'm more interested in what he can do with the youth system in the US, and how much power he'll be given to control development. Hopefully, he can be the coach today, and then move higher up the USSF ladder tomorrow.
7/29/2011 8:23:53 PM
Sweet. No more Bradley. Now we just need to hire some decent defenders.
7/29/2011 8:46:59 PM
^Yep! There is no doubt we need better defenders.
7/29/2011 11:43:47 PM
No excuses now.It will be interesting to see where we stand now that we have a manager with actual experience.
