62nd pick of the draft. get lost, Cancer
3/26/2013 11:47:29 PM
He is only a Cancer if you go by the Tropical calendar. If you go by the increasingly popular Sidereal calendar he is actually a Gemini.
3/26/2013 11:56:41 PM
i wish he had never even come to State! then we could've had a first round exit from the CBI this year!
3/26/2013 11:57:24 PM
FWIW, NBAdraft.net moved Leslie into the first round (#27). Zo is still second round (#38) and TJ isn't listed. Still don't see how Howell isn't in there somewhere. This doesn't mean much, but this site is probably the most looked-at mock site out there. Also interesting: They have Shane Larkin as a late first-rounder. First time I've seen him in a 2013 mock draft. http://nbadraft.net/2013mock_draft

Last years strong draft kept the guys here, the weak draft this year will have the opposite effect.
3/27/2013 11:21:34 AM
I am hoping for a Mason Plumlee type of Senior year. Hope he comes back, develops a consistent jump shot, and averages 20 ppg.
3/27/2013 9:47:11 PM
so if Leslie comes back, we could have a pretty solid starting 5 of Lewis, Purvis, Warren, Leslie, (Insert Center)
3/28/2013 12:21:43 AM
I still think Barber starts.
3/28/2013 12:30:35 AM
Depends on if Lewis works on his defense. If Lewis can become average on D I think he starts over Barber, if his D continues to be a huge problem, Barber will get more minutes. Lewis is much better offensively, Barber is better on D. Plus Lewis has a year in the system under his belt, hard to imagine Barber stepping in early in the season and being 100% comfortable with the offense.

3/28/2013 8:30:02 AM
no he's pretty much atrocious on defense[Edited on March 28, 2013 at 8:57 AM. Reason : has a bad tendency to get lost on screens and give up wide open 3s]
3/28/2013 8:57:28 AM
3/28/2013 10:10:13 AM
If Barber starts, i'd bet my life savings Lewis would transfer. Based on what we saw this year, the only way Barber should start over Lewis is if Barber is Kyrie Irving good. And Lewis isn't a bad defender. You people are dumb.
3/28/2013 10:12:53 AM
^^ I'd put CJ at the five as well.If by a miracle, CJ comes back and no one else leaves...I say we go:LewisPurvisTurnerWarrenCJLThat's a fucking solid lineup with Barber and Lee (probable) as the guard backups and Washing/Anya/Vandy as the big man back-ups.
3/28/2013 10:17:21 AM
3/28/2013 12:21:21 PM
It happened here because there wasn't anybody else. Now there's anybody else
3/28/2013 12:34:25 PM
ca we start a thread begging for CJL to stay?
3/28/2013 12:50:26 PM
does it seem weird to anyone else that brown and leslie are not announcing together?
3/28/2013 1:11:21 PM
yea, thought that too. i suppose he's not made his mind up yet, though it's inevitable.
3/28/2013 1:13:13 PM
leslie might be waiting to see what others do first
3/28/2013 1:14:29 PM
CJ needed to either bulk up and develop a back to the basket game, or work on his perimeter skills to become more viable at small forward. He's done neither. He's as much of a project now as he was as a freshman coming out of high school. Everything pro scouts have learned about him since has been mostly negative. Sucks for him, but he has no one to blame but himself.
3/28/2013 1:16:48 PM
agreed on all counts, but i still expect him to leave. and if he was staying, i would've expected him to have convinced brown to stay w/ him.[Edited on March 28, 2013 at 1:22 PM. Reason : .]
3/28/2013 1:22:16 PM
3/28/2013 1:23:14 PM
would be crazy good if he stayed. THEN he could be ACC POY
3/28/2013 1:28:52 PM
^^^Yeah, I don't expect him to return either, but it's basically gotten to the point where his draft stock has bottomed out. The best thing that could be said about him is that he's managed to avoid any serious injuries.

If he stays who else is going to Bojangles and getting a CJL?
3/28/2013 2:46:22 PM
<----this guy
3/28/2013 2:58:27 PM
Me too, and I want to see the GIF of the kid from Home Improvement Dancing on white kids soul train.
3/28/2013 5:25:35 PM
In a couple years you might be able to order a CJL from CJL!
3/28/2013 5:33:40 PM
i heard TA finally made shift manager
3/28/2013 11:14:20 PM
i thought he kept dropping the chicken short of the pan
3/29/2013 12:04:28 PM
HE WAS IN THE PAN
3/29/2013 1:00:46 PM
3/29/2013 1:01:18 PM
This year he won preseason ACC POY. He needs to come back and win the real ACC POY next season.
3/29/2013 1:26:03 PM
i'd be happy with him winning ACC Tournament POY
3/29/2013 1:30:35 PM
Setting your expectations low I see.
3/29/2013 1:42:14 PM
just spoke with CJ, he said that he will be returning next year because academics have always been a high priority for him and by earning his degree, he will achieve his lifelong goal of being a scholar-athelete.
3/29/2013 2:57:47 PM
I'll believe it when he tweets it
3/29/2013 3:04:13 PM
^^I'd rather hear from Calvin than CJ
3/29/2013 3:05:13 PM
haha he should tweet it if he decides to stay, it would blow everybody's mind.
3/29/2013 3:18:40 PM
I heard he is coming back to win ACC POY and also be the valedictorian of his class.
3/29/2013 3:29:36 PM
Saw Him Yesterday Riding The Train Alone At Pullen. Probably Thinking About His Decision. I Flashed Him Some Wolfies And A Peace Out, Of Which He Didn't Reciprocate.
3/29/2013 4:45:11 PM
I heard he told Gottfried he would return but only if they extend the tracks for the Pullen train from his dorm to all of his classes so that he can ride it all over campus.
3/29/2013 5:04:47 PM
i heard she finally came
3/29/2013 5:19:51 PM
^^lol
3/29/2013 5:24:17 PM
I'd love to see him come back for his senior year, but I'm not sure what his motivation would be. The offense is already going to run through TBDV, CJ may see his draft stock drop even more.
