Well, today is my last day, been at this agency since basically out of college but lived in several states (moved around for advancement). I have been with them for seven and a half years. I accpeted a job with another agency (promotion) and that one starts Monday.

So basically you're in the wrong thread
7/13/2012 10:58:41 AM

7/13/2012 11:27:02 AM
What are you talking about shoot? Have you taken any steps to increase your proficiency of the English language?
7/13/2012 11:34:50 AM
My writing skill has been proved by GRE test. You don't need to bother me.[Edited on July 13, 2012 at 11:50 AM. Reason : ;]
7/13/2012 11:46:43 AM
The thread is titled "Workplace annoyances" I don't think it gets much more straightforward than that.
7/13/2012 11:49:52 AM
You just hate foreigners right? It's easy to find from your previous posts.
7/13/2012 11:55:11 AM
By all means shoot, feel free to quote previous posts.
7/13/2012 12:02:04 PM
It's a post a few days ago. But I can remember that you complained just in that thread about your colleagues' English. I suppose they are not native speakers. So I'm not the only one who is blamed.
7/13/2012 12:45:55 PM
I don't hate foreigners. I hate anyone that cannot communicate with me properly.Shouldn't you be busy submitting job applications or something?
7/13/2012 1:28:52 PM
You're pushing me man. Yes, I'm working on that.
7/13/2012 1:33:19 PM
That's what you get for posting false accusations.
7/13/2012 1:36:27 PM
I got a promotion a couple weeks ago if that makes anyone feel better.
7/13/2012 2:02:20 PM
Awesome. No raises for our group this year.
7/13/2012 2:03:03 PM
Are you working in local company?
7/13/2012 2:04:38 PM
I'm at IBM.
7/13/2012 2:06:29 PM
Laid off last Thursday, life is the greatest
7/16/2012 3:02:38 PM

7/16/2012 3:11:55 PM

7/16/2012 3:23:21 PM

7/16/2012 3:31:22 PM
I'm pretty sure I bombed the interview I had. Looking for the interviewer's email, I stumbled upon his twitter feed:
7/17/2012 5:44:07 PM
Well what'd you do wrong?
7/17/2012 6:10:50 PM
^^hahaha really?
7/17/2012 6:20:06 PM

7/17/2012 6:36:46 PM
7/17/2012 7:09:14 PM
^ I almost froze one time, wish I had. Instead my mouth shot out "I'm a Leo". Needless to say I didn't get that job.
7/18/2012 6:02:45 AM

http://money.usnews.com/money/blogs/outside-voices-careers/2012/07/23/how-to-really-answer-the-most-basic-interview-questionssomeone on my timeline tweeted this link the other day. It's pretty sound and common advice on interviewing.
7/24/2012 11:39:51 AM
Just a general thing-- when you are employed, spend some time every few weeks looking at job postings that match the next step in your career (as you see it). Look at the requirements that they're asking for. If you don't have them, start working on attaining that certification, experience, expertise, etc. Even if you're not ready for a job change, apply to jobs that potentially interest you. At the least, you'll hone those interview skills, and at best you might discover that a given job is a much better opportunity than it looked on paper. don't wait until you are unemployed, or need to scramble for a job to do these things.
7/24/2012 12:13:24 PM
So I have decided to start my own business. Filed the paperwork today. I will keep you all posted, because I know you are truly interested.
7/24/2012 8:24:28 PM

7/24/2012 8:27:07 PM
Working with one of my old bosses, telecom consulting.
7/24/2012 8:36:13 PM

7/24/2012 8:38:24 PM

7/24/2012 8:41:44 PM
OK, so now that you don't work for those bastards, tell us for real: that shit is a scam, right?
7/24/2012 8:46:26 PM
Nah, it's the best internet for the price as long as it works where you live. Working where you live is the issue.
7/24/2012 8:50:57 PM
come on. we could look out our window and see the fuckin tower and that shit didn't work. I'm more convinced than ever that they ramp up the speeds for new users during the first couple weeks and then throttle it back once the trial-period is overanyway, good luck on the next endeavor[Edited on July 24, 2012 at 9:06 PM. interesting read. Much of this is impractical for where the TWW community is in terms of age, but some good techniques for those of you recently out of college with no job. http://www.slideshare.net/choehn/recessionproof-graduate-1722966

7/29/2012 12:45:55 AM
Got an interview Monday for a job that I am underqualified for, but I know someone who knows someone. This is after tons of applications for jobs that I actually am qualified for, and no responses. Further proof it's all about who you know
