roy williams that motherfucker... first touchdowns since week 2 and of course i finally decide to bench his ass.
11/12/2007 7:12:13 AM
thats 2 in a row with next week vs. the last place teamslowly rising.
11/12/2007 11:16:16 AM
Is there any new news on Alexander? Should I start him or Morris?I'm down only 7 points this week and I've got the Seattle D as well...so I'm not looking for a homerun, just a few solid points.
11/12/2007 11:24:15 AM
I'm down 9 points, I have gore and seattles defense. I would imagine I'm going to be fine... but with my team, i think im gonna lose.
11/12/2007 11:35:27 AM
I watched Drew Brees Play and he threw 3 interceptions and was yelling "fuck, why did I start him instead of Peyton Manning? I'm never listening to this piece of shit place again."Then I watched Peyton Manning throw 6 interceptions. Then I was humbled. You're alright The Guru's Official 2007 Fantasy Football Advice. . . .you're alright.
11/12/2007 11:48:57 AM
Tied my game in one league. Lost by 3 points in the other because I played Rivers (had no other choice really) and he got -2 points.
11/12/2007 11:52:27 AM
Alexander is out I believe, you should put Morris in
11/12/2007 11:55:40 AM
thank you Steven Jackson for finally putting up points like everybody who drafted you 2nd overall expectedthank you kellen winslow for continuing to be a great fantasy TEthank you jeff reed for being a serviceable fantasy kickerand thank you to G Money aka yagerbombs for trading me Brett Favre for Santonio Holmes so I could beat you in our head to head matchup this week! Fuck Losman! Favre ftw!]
11/12/2007 12:15:19 PM
especially next weekFavre could lead all fantasy scorers
11/12/2007 12:19:01 PM
yeah considering how Joey Harrington has looked against us both times this year, look for Favre to throw about 8 TDs and 600 yards
11/12/2007 12:32:50 PM
so Chester Taylor is getting a lot of adds...any idea of the severity of AP's injury? Peterson apparently fucked up his ankle a little bit in yesterday's game versus the Packers
11/12/2007 1:00:28 PM
knee
11/12/2007 1:19:25 PM
Peterson has torn ligament in knee Adrian Peterson has a torn lateral collateral ligament in his right knee. That was the word from Vikings head coach Brad Childress at his weekly press conference on Monday. The tear was graded as two-plus, with three being the worst; however, Childress said that surgery would not be needed. No timetable has been established for Peterson's return, but he will definitely miss Week 11 against the Raiders. The rookie running back's knee checked out healthy and stable other than the LCL tear.PICK UP CHESTER!
11/12/2007 1:57:41 PM
yeah he was snatched up right after that game in my league.
11/12/2007 1:58:22 PM
Ive heard estimates of 4-6 weeks for Peterson.........
11/12/2007 3:19:50 PM
need hasselbeck to get me 20pts tonight (6 for TDs, 1pt every 50yds)
11/12/2007 3:43:22 PM
he'll probably either get like 19.9 or 20.1 or somethinin other words it should be close
11/12/2007 3:48:38 PM
MORRIS IN ALEXANDER OUT
11/12/2007 3:49:26 PM
Not a fan of that scoring systemIt makes TDs too valuable1 TD = 300 yardsSo a game of 100 yards and 3 tds is better than one with 500 yards and 1 TD
11/12/2007 3:53:07 PM
6TD/50YD can work ok if its PPR/PPCI prefer 6TD/25YD and non-PPCstill though...TDs win games...not yards
11/12/2007 3:56:24 PM
i need a quality TEI have owen daniels and tony schefflerany one that is a mid season sleeper i could pick up??i thought about leonard pope
11/12/2007 4:03:14 PM
yeah but TD's are too fluky to have that much of an effect on the outcome of fantasy gamesLast week when Jamal Lewis had that crazy game where he had like 30 yards and 4 TD's...if Peterson didn't score at all with his 296 yards, that would have had about the same value as Lewis's game...Yahoo's old setup was 20 yards rushing recieving = 1 points, so 120 yards = TD. ESPN's current set up and the one I like the best is 10 yards per point rushing/recieving and 6 points per TD, and 25 yards per point passing and 4 point per TD.
11/12/2007 4:05:06 PM
i like all of that except i am still a fan of TDs being 6, whether rushing, receiving, passing, whatever
11/12/2007 4:19:00 PM
TD's being only 4 makes elite QB's roughly equal in point production to elite RB's and WR'ssay the average game for a good QB is 200 yards and 2 TDs..thats 16 pointssay the average game for a good RB is 100 yards and 1 TD...thats 16 pointsso no one really stands out that much...also makes rushing QB's slightly more valuable. With 6 points per passing TD, it doesn't really change that much since everyone is getting the 6 points, just makes good QB's that much more valuable. Brady is leading my league in points with TDs counting as 4 points...he'd be destroying everyone is they were 6.
11/12/2007 4:27:56 PM
yeah I played against Brady during his 6 TD week...ran up like 50 points on me
11/12/2007 5:00:37 PM
Thank you seattle defense and frank gore even with a little production to get me a win this week (And most of all whoever told me to play Bulger!) Up next - Tom Brady and the 3rd place team, ugh.
11/12/2007 10:19:13 PM
This weeks not even really over yet - but in preperation for next week: Pick 3: Brandon Marshall @ TenLarry Fitzgerald @ CinWelker @ BufAndre Johnson (yay hes back) @ NOAfter looking at the passing YPG stats gonna bench Marshall for the week.Pick 2: Graham @ AtlGore @ StlBush @ HouYoung @ TenGrant @ CarGonna take a chance and stick with Bush and Gore for next week - St Louis has given up a ton of td's on the ground and Houston's run d isn't too great either.I want to trade one of my WR's for a more solid RB now that Johnson is back. Gore just hasn't been cutting it for me, Graham has been decent and Bush is picking it up. I actually just added Selvin Young and Grant off waivers as I have a ton of bench space. Should I keep my 4 WR's in case of an injury to one?[Edited on November 12, 2007 at 10:51 PM. Reason : aaa]

11/12/2007 11:36:55 PM
lj smith is healthy again
11/12/2007 11:37:59 PM
Ok, lemme know what you think about this trade:I get: T.J. HoushmandzadehI give: Clinton Portis and David PattenMy team:Tom BradyWillis McGaheeLendale White(Jamal Lewis, Ryan Grant, Selvin Young)Randy MossMarques Colston(Greg Jennings, DJ Hackett, Reggie Brown)mediocre TE, D, kicker
11/13/2007 9:34:05 AM
^i like that trade. Portis is a liability as far as injuries, and Patten isn't the most reliable. Housh, on the other hand, is a fantasy God this season, and although his numbers will go down with Henry back in the lineup, it's still dependability. With Moss already on your team, this could be the move that sends you straight to the top.what about this one:I get:Roy Williams (det) and Owen Daniels I give:Jamal Lewis and Patrick CraytonMy team:Derek AndersonHoushmandzedahDavid Patten (Brandon Stokely, Patrick Crayton)Kevin JonesRyan Grant (Selvin Young, Cedric Benson)Heath Miller (Vernon Davis)Nick Folk[Edited on November 13, 2007 at 9:38 AM. 11/13/2007 9:38:00 AM
^That's what I was thinking. I think it's a great trade for me, as Portis has had a good year, but it ultimately a B+ mediocre RB who is injury prone. And Patten is completely mediocre and replaceable right of the Waiver wire IMO. Housh is the second ranked reciever in the year of the receiver and has been the best scoring reciever over the past two years. As for your trade: I think it's mostly a wash, leaning towards you being the loser. The main reason is that although Jamal Lewis is very unpredictable, he's still your best RB (total points wise). So you're giving up your best RB and a mediocre reciever for a mediocre reciever with good potential and a very mediocre TE. You already have a good TE and a decent backup. So why trade? Basically you're giving up Lewis to upgrade Crayton to Roy Williams. I don't like it.
11/13/2007 10:31:31 AM
I agree with slackerb about that trade for the reasons he stated, plus you already have Kevin Jones. I wouldn't want two players from a sometimes anemic offense like the Lions. As a matter of fact, the Pats, Colts, Cowboys, and maybe the Saints are the only teams I would want two players from at the same time.I would say no to that trade.
11/13/2007 10:52:07 AM
as someone who has both patrick creyton and roy williams, I would definitely recommend against the trade. Roy Williams has been worthless since week two. Creyton will at least have consistently ok numbers. Factor in getting rid of jamal lewis and I would say its a no go.
11/13/2007 11:00:23 AM
wow now that some guys have healed from injuries, i actually have a decent looking starting lineup if they all playQB: FavreRB: S-JaxRB: EdgeWR: OchoWR: Andre JohnsonTE: WinslowW/R: Jamal Lewis/Earnest Graham/Brandon Marshall/Dwayne BoweK: Jeff ReedDEF: CHI/BAL/GB
11/13/2007 11:11:46 AM
I trade Kitna for FitzgeraldI have Brees and Eli for qb and could use another decent wr since smith is sucking
11/13/2007 11:29:41 AM
S-Jax is one of those name-shortenings that doesn't workLike when I was in phase last year where I called Jason Kapano "J-Kap"

11/13/2007 12:47:27 PM
chester taylor against oakland? or marshawn lynch against NE?This should be an easy decision because noone has racked up points against NE, but I'm not completely sold on taylor... only picked him up because A-pete is down
11/13/2007 1:06:04 PM
one of the reasons NE hasn allowed a big yardage RB is because they've always gotten out to big early leads forcing other teams to throw...somehow though I think this NE v. BUF game will be close at halftime and NE will pull away in the 3rd quarter...for whatever reason Buffalo seems to play them as well as anybody
11/13/2007 1:46:13 PM
I have both players too, and I'm pretty sure I'm going with Chester. Lynch did score Buffalo's only TD against NE in their first meeting, and I agree with TreeTwista10 that the matchup isn't that bad. However, Oakland's run D is TERRIBLE and the Vikings still can't pass, I think Chester will make everyone forget about purple jesus for a week.
11/13/2007 1:51:51 PM
Should I trade Kitna for FitzgeraldI have Brees and Eli for qb and could use another decent wr since smith is sucking
11/13/2007 3:46:30 PM
if you have 3 QBs, and they are Kitna, Eli and Brees...I would definitely consider trading either Kitna or Eli to improve another position...Brees is solid and either Eli or Kitna would be a great backup...go for it
11/13/2007 3:50:23 PM
I won but if I had started Ryan Grant over Priest Holmes I would have won by more....Would you guys start Grant regularly now over Priest, Rudi Johnson, and Cedric Benson?
11/13/2007 4:44:56 PM
^^ it just all depends on rudi's status. if rudi is healthy i'd go1. rudi2. grant (even though GB has a running back carousel)3. benson[Edited on November 13, 2007 at 5:01 PM. Reason : .]
11/13/2007 5:01:30 PM
I now actually have a lot of "good" running backs, just no GREAT running backs-Marion Barber-Laurence Maroney-Maurice Morris-Selvin Young-Justin Fargas-Chester TaylorIf you had to pick 2 to drop, which ones would you choose?
11/13/2007 5:04:30 PM
Any of those will be snapped up if you drop themI'd try to hold them and let them rot on my bench rather than risk someone else picking them up and having them run for 150 and 2 against you
11/13/2007 5:07:54 PM
^^Taylor and Morris in 2 weeks.their starters should be back and I dont see Taylor doing a whole lot in place of AP
11/13/2007 5:20:41 PM
BradyLaveranues ColesCalvin JohnsonShaun McDonaldJones-DrewDeAngelo WilliamsDonald LeeJosh BrownPhilly/AtlantaThis is a team that also has Plaxico Burress and Chicago defense on the bench. I swear if I lose to this retarded team this week due to Tom Brady I'm going to be so pissed. [Edited on November 14, 2007 at 8:54 AM. Reason : aaa]

Ok, need to pick my RB/WR flex spot for this week. I always go with a RB, but this week it looks like my WR may be better than my options at RB.Pick 1:D.J Hackett, Greg Jennings, Selvin Young, Ryan Grant, Jamal Lewis, Reggie BrownI like Hackett (16 and 11 points since he came back), Jennings (22, 22, and then 6 last week), and Grant vs. Carolina. But which?
