It physically pains me to read their boards...this was on page 1 of the link on p.59. That's a real brain trust they've got going over there, let me tell ya.

So in one thread they are hoping Wisconsin pursues Doeren. In another thread they are saying Doeren was a subpar hire and we were his only offer.

Little experience has a head coach at a program that averages 15,000 attendance per game. Won at NI with someone else's recruits. No recruiting ties to this area. It was the only offer he got. No wonder it was his first choice as it was his only choice. He may end up being a great coach, but his resume is weak. At best he is a risk. Compare him to Fedora - not even close and Fedora has a one year head start. Likely he will be another Wolfie coach that is fired in 4-5 years for not producing. Have you noticed the trend."

In other words, why the hell would Wisconsin pursue this coach that no one else wanted? lol

ESPN sayind otherwise this morning now... If Gundy and Strong reject UT, then Fedora must be at the top of their list!

With each coach "available" coach staying at their school or going to another...UNC has to start sweating a little bit more.

I'd laugh my balls off if Fedora left after one year. Would be even better if he cited "incoming sanctions" as a reason and then watch UNC scramble to find a Division III coach to come take over that train-wreck of a program.

I would then use my tears of joy as lubricant while I watch them take down the '05 and '09 championship basketball banners....

Dave Doeren not a candidate at Wisconsin

Wisconsin Badgers

UPDATE: Scratch two names off the list of candidates for the head coching job at Wisconsin. ESPN.com Big Ten blogger Adam Rittenberg reports that former Badgers coordinator Dave Doeren will be sticking with his new job as head coach of North Carolina State.

"NC State hired Doeren as its head coach Saturday, the day after he led Northern Illinois to its second consecutive Mid-American Conference championship," Rittenberg writes. "Doeren went 23-4 in two seasons at NIU after serving as a Badgers assistant from 2006-2010, the last three seasons as defensive coordinator."

Rittenberg says Pitt coach Paul Chryst, the former Wisconsin offensive coordinator, will be staying with the Panthers, which obviously means he won't be coaching for Wisconsine either. However, he does name a coach who might be on Wisconsin's radar: Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator/assistant head coach Mel Tucker, a former Badgers player.

I think it's referring to Pack Pride, b/c a lot of PP posters come across as antagonistic rodeo-clowns who are on crack or liquor.

I think when they say "Rawlee" they are actually referring to Lee Fowler because he sure was worn raw by the rest of the ACC in collegiate athletic competitive event competitions. Just IMHOFWIW

Now that Fedora looks like he isn't going anywhere. IC will now fully believe he was a serious candidate and he turned them down.

yeah, most of the twitter speculation/"reports" is that Fedora has turned down UT, but I haven't seen anything with a hard source since everything links back to IC. The other two candidates ended up getting contract extensions, I don't see how Fedora would simply turn down UT and not get anything out of UNC due to the goodness of his heart.

Word on the street is that they're after Bowden from Clemson...I still have a feeling they're feeling out Fedora.

To clarify, Clemson's old head coach who resigned in like 2009

It's LF or they are back to square one with wisconsin. If fedora doesn't get a raise by the end of the day and is still in chapel hill, he should be declared unfit to make financial decisions for himself.

I mean shit, they gave Butch a massive raise after his first year when he increased their win total from 3 to 4.

Fedora oughta be dipping into that cookie jar too.

My assumption for Fedora and UNC being mostly silent on this is that UNC is still raising funds for a raise or contract extension for Fedora
