There's ways to get to the endzone beyond just an arm punt. Ideally I'd've run a hook and lateral based on the coverage, but there's other options.
12/26/2023 8:57:59 AM
That's even less likely to be successful than what they did run.
12/26/2023 10:33:43 AM
A 5% chance of a good hook and lateral is better than a 0% chance of running 40 yards and spiking the ball in 7 seconds.
12/26/2023 11:19:00 AM
Ekwonu sucks, totally blew a block and now Bryce is hurt
12/31/2023 1:29:45 PM
This is what the Panthers get for wearing blue pants
12/31/2023 2:34:22 PM
LMAO Young just got tackled by his hand! What a weak lil baby
12/31/2023 2:37:07 PM
it’s not fun watching a diminutive QB not be able to break it outside/take on someone 1-on-1
12/31/2023 2:39:49 PM
Still can't believe muh 'thers traded up to draft this lil guy
12/31/2023 2:56:49 PM
Ok Bryce is seeing ghosts now. Last sack was 100% on him and this one was on the receivers who just don't get open.]

I think the Jimmy Clausen year and the last year of the cursed George Seifert era were both decidedly worse. The pickle offense couldn't even score 200 points on the year. 2001 they only managed one win. The big difference in both of those years is that those awful years brought in franchise changing talents in Julius Peppers and Cam Newton. That will not be happening next year. They aren't going to add a franchise player at any position next year. Of course both those seasons also resulted in new QBs the following year, which also will not be happening. So yeah, in a vacuum i don't think this is the worst season, but the future outlook is much, much bleaker thanks to awful mismanagement.

Clinched the first pick for the Bears
12/31/2023 4:35:49 PM
I think one of the camera men/women didn't want to be there today. They'd stay focused on the pocket and then at the last second switch to a downfield shot of Chark dropping a pass.

What a big petulant baby
12/31/2023 6:49:19 PM
What exactly are we seeing? The tepper dude upset cause he has ruined team? Like whats the significance of that link?
12/31/2023 6:51:01 PM
He threw a drink at a fan
12/31/2023 7:06:59 PM
Oh, wondered why fan started trying to get inside his suite. I thought he just like threw an empty cup at his desk like a bitch
12/31/2023 7:12:36 PM
It was empty after he threw the liquid on a fan.
12/31/2023 10:19:55 PM
Looks like a $100k fine and loss of a first round pick punishment are due for Tepper. Oh wait! Looks like he already gave up a first round pick.
1/1/2024 6:55:52 AM
I feel like David Tepper and Donald Trump would be good buddies. Both childish man-babies with a track record of running organizations into the ground.
1/1/2024 11:10:29 AM
^ that's a great way to link the two!I wonder if Tepper thought his suite window was closed before he threw his drink, or he knew he was throwing a drink out that window to begin with.
1/1/2024 11:58:13 AM
What? He knew exactly what he was doing
1/1/2024 12:55:56 PM
you don’t sit in a suite for an entire game and not know if the window is open or not
1/1/2024 1:27:09 PM
Also why would he throw a drink at a window
1/1/2024 1:30:00 PM
Idk I think it just slipped out of his hand
1/1/2024 2:37:17 PM
I wish there was a way for Penix Jr. to be a Panther
1/2/2024 12:56:31 AM
Drafting another QB seems like a very Tepper-like move
1/2/2024 8:45:38 AM
Tepper fined $300,000. Equivalent to ~0.0015% of his wealth. That will curb his temper tantrums.
1/2/2024 7:22:10 PM
LMAO at this fuckin statement (which was decidedly not an apology)Dude needs to get punched in the mouth a couple times
1/2/2024 7:56:25 PM
brings a tear to my eye to see justin being ok with someone in the Panthers organization getting punched
1/2/2024 8:04:17 PM
^hope justin appreciates that post as much as i do
1/2/2024 8:07:24 PM
Yeah why isn't Steve Smith punching this guy
1/2/2024 8:07:43 PM
Can someone please rank steve smith sr correctly? His stats are good. But its like he don’t pass the eye test or something. Or others were better in his era?
1/2/2024 8:57:38 PM
He's in the hall of very good. Basically like a mean Dale Murphy. He had one elite year as a WR (2005) and then had a very, very long career where he was good but not in the conversation for best WRs in the league - i.e. only one other season in the top 10 for TDs besides 2005, despite playing 14 full seasons, same goes for receptions. Has a lot of cumulative stats because he played a really long time into the era of ridiculous passing offense and the rules that favored receivers. So yeah Dale Murphy with a Napoleon complex ]
1/2/2024 9:45:20 PM
How many seasons in top 10 for yards? Seems like better metric
1/2/2024 10:11:18 PM
1/3/2024 12:12:59 AM
It was because all his teammates were scared of him. So they only passed him the ball
1/3/2024 12:18:48 AM
His very, very long career also wasn't much longer than the other guys in the top 10, but we don't expect an objective evaluation by some people8th in career receiving yards, 15th in career games played by a WR[Edited on January 3, 2024 at 12:25 AM. Reason : .]
1/3/2024 12:24:47 AM
Look, he's extremely far behind Holt and Wayne by all accounts. Closer to Johnson, but i give Johnson more credit for putting up similar numbers with unquestionably worse QBs. Plus Johnson had a 3-4 year stretch where it is pretty easy to argue he was the top WR in the league (2007ish-2010)Maybe he gets in one day, but he should definitely be behind those guys. I wouldn't be upset if he did get in, unless it happened before one of those 3 guys. And once those guys get in (which will take at least 3-4 more years probably) you'll have Antonio Brown to contend with, and whenever Julio Jones retires he'll be in the discussion as well. So it'll be a tough road for him.]
1/3/2024 12:37:30 AM
the more you downplay Smith's accomplishments, the more you admit that Delhomme is the 2nd best QB in franchise history]
1/3/2024 12:59:12 AM
Not exactly a stellar list of QBs behind Newton. Also Rodney Peete is still #2.
1/3/2024 10:40:47 AM
I thought it was Beuerlein based on his 1 good season?
1/3/2024 4:14:26 PM
Beuerlein‘s TD run in Green Bay puts him at #2[Edited on January 3, 2024 at 4:22 PM. Reason : .]
1/3/2024 4:21:53 PM
Good point. He's #2. Peete #3. Delshitte #4.
1/3/2024 4:30:33 PM
Peete was better than Delhomme at nothing as a Panther
1/3/2024 4:32:55 PM
I used to have footballs autographed by Steve Beuerlein and Fred Lane. Sure wish I would have held onto that Beuerlein one!
1/3/2024 4:59:46 PM
You can just get him to sign another one, he's not dead!
1/3/2024 5:05:27 PM
I’d still have Jake at #2, since sports are more than just stats
