I have a close friend that got it and said it was similar to the flu. But after he quarantined for two weeks and started feeling better, he suddenly lost his taste, and hasn't got it back for several weeks now.

One of my in-law's good friend got it, lost her taste, and hasn't regained it several months later....

I know that's "first world problems" or whatever, but I would hate to lose my taste for weeks/months/however long it may last.

Not to derail the thread but do kids pass bowls or bongs around any more now that they can just vape? I really enjoyed that social aspect of it and even tasting different strands people had. The entire experience would be less appealing to me if someone just handed me a vape and that was that.

And there was a bad flu in autumn 2003. My friends and I all caught it from each other, presumably from smoking. Same with mono in 2001. So I assume Covid has a similar pattern.

I got my 2nd Pfizer shot 5 days ago. First 48 hours I had the shits, but I didn't feel that bad.

24 hours after the shot I started experiencing tinnitus in my left ear. Never had it before. Also a dull, aching, pain w/ pressure in my left jaw (part of the tinnitus I assume).

Can't fucking wait to go out to a restaurant in 10 days.

You aren't there for lessons in freedom, but to get medical opinions to the best of his knowledge.

Should be OK, but better look it up online to see if people have had different vaccines and if there are any contraindications.

(I did read about when the AZ was suspended, those who got AZ as their first jab got a different one as the 2nd jab... but again, the combinations/permutations of vaccines might matter)
