never change, CP3

I don't think that last Harden shot was that bad but there were at least 3 instances of obvious shooting fouls that were let go. Oh well.I don't think Rockets shoot like that again but the Warriors prob won't turn it over so much either
4/28/2019 6:58:09 PM
Officiating def wasn’t great, but the Rockets had their chances and blew it at the end. It was an entertaining game and I’m looking forward to game 2.
4/28/2019 7:18:51 PM
I didn't watch the whole game, but not boxing out Draymond on the last couple Durant possessions was costly, as was letting Nene guard Steph on the perimeter the following possession. Also, CP3 should've gone for a quick layup after he got the offense rebound to save some clock.
4/28/2019 7:37:45 PM
You missed a ton of bitching about the officiating on both sides, and it being a tight game for almost the duration. Certainly wasn’t the best look for either team, but I’m sure the Ws are relieved to have won on short rest.
4/28/2019 8:48:18 PM
Nba leaning in. Assigned Rockets' public enemy #1 to tonight's game.
4/30/2019 3:15:46 PM
The refs were assigned BEFORE the playoffs began, but if you want to buy into the Harden persecution complex, have at it. It’s a bad look and it’s frankly a bit pathetic- especially that ridiculous nonsense about game 7 last year. You miss 27 3s in a row and you deserve to lose.
4/30/2019 4:34:16 PM
Wait you were just complaining about referees two pages ago?And yes, I do think a referee with clear, public personal issues with players shouldn't ref their playoff games if possible. Maybe the back of his mind will be worried about how he looks and we'll get a bunch of calls! Fingers crossed! And that report you reference was from the NBA! Rockets just tried to assign point totals to calls the NBA called out. It's weird to call something a persecution complex when the organization comes out and says they miss calls. It's impossible to get every call right but it's silly to act like they can't affect a game or are always 50/50"deserve" is a silly word in wins/losses, nobody "deserves" anything either way. Plenty of teams have plenty of games with shit performances.
4/30/2019 5:03:45 PM
No, I haven’t complained about the officiating during the playoffs. I just pointed out the fact that the Ws get techs more than most teams and go to the line less. Pretty much ALL NBA players bitch/complain about the officiating, and it’s gotten tired- including the Ws. James fucking Harden is pretty much the LAST person to be complaining about not getting whistles since he gets them way more than anyone else in the league. You usually come off as a reasonable (although clearly biased Rockets fan, and hey I have my own biases too), but this Rockets crying fest is pathetic. Yeah, the refs missed some calls at the end, but it was a tight game for practically 48 mins and they blew it in the end with poor shot selection and Harden stepping out of bounds. Cmon dude, you’re better than that...[Edited on April 30, 2019 at 5:15 PM. Reason : Also, the Ws hate Foster too (see 2016 playoffs)]
4/30/2019 5:14:32 PM
It's the NBA who provided the rockets with the list of missed & non-calls of that game 7, the rockets weren't the ones who decided what were bad calls. They just assigned point values to the plays where a call was missed (both on calls for them and for the warriors.)I would try to ignore analytics-backed evidence if it showed blatant bias towards my team too, though.Oh, also a friendly reminder that Scott Foster(who reffed game 7 and is reffing game 2) received 134 calls from Tim Donaghy during the ~6 months he admitted to betting on/fixing games. He didn't call any other ref more than 13 times in that same timespan.
4/30/2019 5:14:42 PM
I watched the game myself and saw a 15 pt lead evaporate and 27 missed 3s in a row. Those are facts, not opinions.
4/30/2019 5:27:52 PM
^^^Yea you complained about the refs during the regular season, that's better somehow? Also, who the fuck is crying? For game 1 I mentioned some obvious aggravating misses in like two sentences and immediately moved on. Sure, I'm annoyed that Foster is reffing regardless of when he was assigned and even if the Warriors hate him too. Frankly if that many people in the league hate him he should be fired. Refs should be able to have normal conversations with players as long as that's in the rules. A ref penalize a player if the player is a dick, but if a ref is a dick to a player, what's the recourse?^what a silly stupid point. All foul calls are "opinions" but they're based on rules. Most are in a Grey area but some are obviously wrong and some are obviously right. All have massive impact on a games outcomes. [Edited on April 30, 2019 at 5:31 PM. Reason : E]
4/30/2019 5:30:14 PM
Again, the NBA didn’t go out it’s way to reassign Foster to stick it to the Rockets. And as I’ve mentioned before, it’s not like the Ws love the guy either. Maybe instead of complaining about the officiating, Harden should...um...play better? Adjust his style of play when he’s not getting whistles? Seems like something an MVP candidate should know how to do by now in the playoffs, instead of blaming everyone but himself for shooting 4/16 on 3s and shooting 9/28.
4/30/2019 5:38:28 PM
4/30/2019 5:49:49 PM
^^I addressed both foster points directly in my post? And wait we're talking about Harden now, I thought you were talking about me? You know I can't control hardens behavior right? I would also love to play 1on1 with you. Everytime you shoot I'll kick you in the nuts. If you call foul, easy response "um fouls are just opinions, you missed the shot that's a fact! Maybe instead of complaining you should play better!"[Edited on April 30, 2019 at 5:51 PM. Reason : E]
4/30/2019 5:51:24 PM
^ weird analogy/straw man you’ve got there.Anyway, Tree is probably right and Harden won’t play so poorly. Wouldn’t be surprised if the Rockets come out on fire and take game 2. But if they don’t, they’ve already given themselves an “excuse”, so good for them.
4/30/2019 6:50:11 PM
Not as weird as claiming referees don't affect the game and should be ignoredAND acting like the Warriors don't also incessantly complain about the refs FOH man. I even distinctly remember Curry crying that he doesn't get the calls that Harden gets[Edited on April 30, 2019 at 7:35 PM. Reason : E]
4/30/2019 7:32:11 PM
I literally just wrote that pretty much ALL NBA players (including muy dubz) bitch about officiating non-stop, and that it’s gotten stale. I also said the Ws got away with some questionable calls. You’re the one that wrote your post the way you did, and it sure seemed like you were insinuating the league is out to get the Rockets, while ignoring the reality that the Ws hate Scott Foster too because of 2016.If this is going to be the narrative you all want to talk about, go for it. I’m going to watch the game and see what happens instead of promoting a bunch of nonsense about the Rockets being victims because it’s boring.
4/30/2019 7:38:27 PM
Oh Jesus is this whole back in forth abouty first post? I thought that was an obvious joke, but either way I've clarified about foster already a couple times. I don't think the NBA or most refs are explicitly biased against the Rockets, I just think they're generally bad at their jobs. And personally, if I'm Foster, I would prob have some implicit bias after Harden and Paul shit on me. Now, they dug their own graves a bit there, but it seems kinda silly to assign him to this series. Kind like Karl Hess and nc state. Even if it has no real affect, it looks bad.You may have said that that everyone complains about regs but then you just said that Harden (not me, again you seem to waffling whether youre mad at me or Harden) had an excuse built in, implying he complains a measurable amount more
4/30/2019 7:44:41 PM
I'm not 'mad' at either of you, my team is winning the series As for your earlier post, I honestly can't tell sarcasm sometimes and I definitely hate-read reddit/ESPN too much, so it all blurs together. I got nothing against you personally dude, although I am definitely not a fan of the way Harden plays basketball or gripes about the officiating. I was pretty sure your comment about Klay being a 'dirty' player was in jest, but maybe not.
4/30/2019 7:56:36 PM
Yea i had hoped the "leaning in" sold it, like the NBA loves the controversy rather than bias or malice. I do think it's dumb he's assigned but the NBA can't not assign him I guess, what do I know.I don't think Klay is a dirty player but I do think a couple plays Sunday were dirty plays. Maybe unintentionally, but still. That one shot he basically boxed out Harden while he was in the air. Very similar to whatshisname and Kawhi a few years backThis one in particular is a very bad and dangerous play. https://twitter.com/RTNBA/status/1122599705672933381?s=19
4/30/2019 8:19:30 PM
Gotta put in some work before the game starts
4/30/2019 10:33:30 PM
Steph has lightskin privilege when it comes to officiating
4/30/2019 10:37:03 PM
Forgot to mention with all the other talk that capela was not good enough in game 1 and hasn't been good enough tonight. Also not sure why Shumpert is getting burn all of a sudden, although Harden injury is is prob part of it.Which, I guess Harden has an excuse now! (slapped in the face, no foul, loses the rebound, results in a 5on4 and an open 3, fun)
4/30/2019 11:18:51 PM
Man they've had quick triggers on those double techs
5/1/2019 12:22:23 AM
I get that they're trying to deescalate things before they happen, but yeah, sometimes you can just blow the whistle, separate the players, and move on without calling a double tech.
5/1/2019 12:38:50 AM
Have i mentioned how much I hate these 1030 tips?? Killer....Anyway maybe Rockets will rebound in Houston?? Embarrassing on the boards
5/1/2019 12:50:02 AM
Getting poked in the eye sucks. That’s all I’ve got.
5/1/2019 10:20:35 AM
lol this is where that whole crapfest started
5/1/2019 10:58:57 AM
Yea we addressed that.

I don't get it?
5/1/2019 9:33:03 PM
because you're not a fan of muh Dubs
5/2/2019 11:35:52 AM
No blazers fans on here?
5/2/2019 3:53:14 PM
muh blubs
5/2/2019 4:49:35 PM
^^ I'm a Lillard fan and have been for a while. To me, the Blazers are sorta like the Kings though in the sense that I've always "secretly" rooted for them a bit, since they're small market teams like the A's. Portland and Sac are actually quite similar as cities/metros, and while I probably prefer Sac overall, Portland has gotten a lot better over the last few years.
5/2/2019 5:00:28 PM
What a game. Kanter gave up his life for that win
5/4/2019 10:55:23 AM
Another good game, even though muh Dubs just quit at the end of OT
5/4/2019 11:15:42 PM
Curry suuuucccckkkked tonight
5/4/2019 11:17:35 PM
Klay balling out on defense...

One of my favorite parts of this series is seeing Steph and Harden, two of the best offensive guards ever, miss multiple layups[Edited on May 7, 2019 at 12:07 AM. Reason : also Harden's eye. can't forget that.][Edited on May 7, 2019 at 12:09 AM. Reason : ]

Hope KDs elbows are OK this morning. Pretty fucked that Paul and Harden kept hitting him in the elbow with their heads.

KD has put together a legendary playoffs, I really hope it isn't his achilles
5/9/2019 12:41:57 AM
At best it's a calf strain and he'd be pretty much done for the playoffs.]
5/9/2019 12:53:31 AM
I had wanted to say how good harden has been defensively this playoffs but he was bad in the first half, helped get them in a big deficitHe was the only one scoring too but still
