What are some quality Russian ADRs to invest in?
12/13/2016 8:25:44 AM
Just go straight to the source and buy Exxon. Exxon had a potential $500 BILLION investment in the Russian arctic. They were in the exploration phase (which was successful by most accounts in the media) when The Russian/Crimean sanctions dropped and they had to pullback. How convenient for them that Russia was able to install a pro-Russia, pro-fossil fuel president. Exxon can't lose so long as Trump is still in charge.

A reminder of our current Sec. of State. Yall were probably pissed about this too though, right?[Edited on December 13, 2016 at 11:42 AM. Reason : 1]
12/13/2016 11:42:26 AM
I didn't vote for him in 2004 and I don't love him now.Still far more qualified than the Exxon CEO.
12/13/2016 11:49:21 AM
totally pissed about what he actually said, or the ridiculous clickbait headlines?
12/13/2016 11:50:58 AM

12/13/2016 11:57:07 AM
^One of those is from Politico. Not exactly a Right leaning website. Meh, just posted it to troll you people. I think we know what we were getting with Kerry. But how could it be any worse than the previous SoS. And my expectations for any Trump nomination are so low, I am expecting Kanye to be nominated for something today.

^ Something tells me that intentionally leaking classified info to a foreign gov. is not a bad thing under Trump, but a non-work email account used by State Dept staff is still treason.
12/14/2016 1:17:41 PM
Not intentionally. The general used the Clinton defense. "Herp a derp, what's classified info?"Genious
12/14/2016 1:27:46 PM

Goldman lawyer Jay Clayton to head SEC.Lol at anyone who thought Goldman Sachs wasn't going to be taken care of by a trump admin...[Edited on January 4, 2017 at 2:37 PM. Reason : Not that Clinton would be different... ]
1/4/2017 2:36:59 PM
I think it's safe to assume someone who was so guarded/image-conscious during the election would not have appointed a lawyer who defended banks during the financial crisis as chair of the SEC
1/4/2017 3:07:51 PM
SWERMPPPP THA DRAIINNNN!!!!!!!!
1/4/2017 3:12:52 PM
Franken just called sessions out hardcore for lying about being involved in civil rights cases he either made up or wasn't involved with.
1/10/2017 1:01:11 PM
Tuned in for the second half of the hearing. Cruz just propping up straw men to complain about Dems...clearly I don't know how these hearing are supposed to go.

Zombie apocalypse does seem like a good way for us all to go out
1/11/2017 10:23:20 AM
^^ lol what is going on? I thought the GOP was the party of small? Why are we even having committees on settled science?
1/11/2017 10:27:41 AM
Tillerson is a trainwreck and looking more likely to be denied than Sessions.

Dude, Sessions' former staffer destroyed Booker and Lewis and Richmond in his testimony in support of Sessions.
1/11/2017 11:22:50 PM
^That's how a lot of people see it, but his testimony was essentially "well he was nice to ME". Said absolutely nothing in regards to sessions' record of opposing civil and voting rights legislation. Sessions own testimony on this was paper thin. He never could explain why he opposed these laws other than "I don't think that discrimination exists". His testimony about Alabama closing dmvs in black areas was embarrassing if you knew the broader context of those laws. He seemed like he had no idea what was on the ruling regarding NC voter ID law.I generally like Lewis but his testimony against sessions was weak, his comments were too generally about civil rights movement itself. Booker gave a great testimony. I think it's pretty clear though the GOP has zero interest in civil rights anymore, after seeing sessions testimony and the DHS guy. They seem to think the DOJ should be an advocacy group for police officers rather than a law enforcement system to serve the people, and the GOP senators agree. Hearing them talk, were in a crime wave with a drug epidemic of Mexican drugs. Not historically low crime rates with opioid abuse rampant in Appalachia. We have justice department employees setting rules based on false perceptions of crime and violence against police, anti-Vaxxer in charge of vaccines, a guy who's basis for DHS policies will be "no drug use is nonviolent" (he said this), people against climate change research in charge of the environment. This is literally the world of 1984 novel, where up is down and left is right. This is what people voted for though, but I can't see how such a broad rejection of reality across the executive branch could ever lead to sustainable, beneficial governance. Maybe I'm wrong and there's some historical precedence for this where it works out.
1/12/2017 12:15:11 AM
Okay, so have do any nominees have a chance of not being confirmed?
1/12/2017 10:12:44 PM
I think Rex might have problems
1/13/2017 5:46:00 AM
He's completely unqualified and unprepared but I think he will be fine. The rest, aside from Sessions, I'm mostly ok.Too bad a kook like Flynn doesn't have to go through this. He is by far the scariest in this whole Trump world to me. An agenda and Trump's trust. Just hope guys like Mattis can keep him under control.
1/13/2017 9:17:22 AM
I expect every one of these unqualified assholes to be confirmed.
1/17/2017 11:59:21 PM
I second that. It's all about checking boxes to get another 'win."
1/18/2017 8:57:29 AM
This pick for Secretary of Education is a fucking genius
1/18/2017 9:34:39 AM

STATES RIGHTS
1/18/2017 11:33:16 AM
1/18/2017 1:52:33 PM
I forgot how dreadfully awful it is to have one side control everything. And 2018 is basically lost because of where the open and contested seats are. Trump can shit in the mouths of everyone in those districts and still have the GOP win and maintain their congressional control.
1/18/2017 1:59:07 PM
1/18/2017 2:06:40 PM
It's funny, because he has property in, I believe Ireland? where he's petitioning the government to build a sea wall to protect his golf course from sea level rise.
