That dinosaur better watch out for the car in that picture, he may actually walk into it and get "oppressed" by it.Then he can demand the driver acknowledges his white male privilege, and apologize for running him over.
11/17/2015 12:56:38 PM
So HUR actually went out and made a black friend. Glad to know my words on TWW have motivated him to embrace diversity.
11/17/2015 2:05:17 PM
^ HUR did it under the premise "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer".
11/17/2015 2:07:56 PM
JCE2011 sorry you feel like a white victim.
11/17/2015 2:50:17 PM
I feel as if HUR should be required to disclose to his new melanin-packed buddy that he s the subject whenever HUR says "I know black people, and...."
11/17/2015 3:11:36 PM
11/17/2015 3:43:11 PM
^^ I wouldn't count on the friendship lasting long. He doesn't even know this guy is just a plain African and not a real African American
11/17/2015 4:43:25 PM
The only way to tell for sure, is to look for the Chip on the shoulder. True Africans haven't grown theirs, yet

If you aren't doing anything wrong you shouldn't mind. HUR has probably been similarly harassed at his apartment.
11/18/2015 3:40:56 PM
Sending 19 cops to one house is so racist!Except wait, they thought it was a Mexican male breaking in when they dispatched 19 to search for him. So racist!
11/18/2015 3:53:10 PM
Good point, Hispanics aren't minorities. And the cops couldn't tell she wasn't Hispanic when they got there.
11/18/2015 3:55:55 PM
That's why they asked who else was in the house.
11/18/2015 3:59:27 PM
Exactly. They should just deal with it. Fuck that bitch.I hope next time you go 5 mph over the speed limit you get a platoon of cops with guns drawn circling your car...[Edited on November 18, 2015 at 4:02 PM. Reason : X]
11/18/2015 4:01:23 PM
How is dispatching a large number of cops racist? You're acting as if once the cops were told it was a black lady, they dispatched all units to intentionally harass her. If you actually read that garbage article, you will see there is actually nothing race-based about it from the police force.
11/18/2015 4:07:14 PM
Holy fuck. The mere fact that someone called the cops on her in the first place because she wasn't like them is the whole point. Then the over the top response... and only then the treating of her like a sub-human.Jesus man. The fact that no one is calling the cops on me or you in a similar situation is the whole point.
11/18/2015 4:12:10 PM
11/18/2015 4:26:15 PM
holy shit, you're still at it? what's wrong with you?
11/18/2015 4:30:18 PM
It blows my mind someone can't accept that biases exist and that groups of people justifiably feel marginalized. How can we even have a discussion on ways to correct that when people refuse to even believe it exists. This has nothing to do with liberal/conservative or political party even. You can acknowledge it exists and still have different views on how to tackle it.It's akin to someone having a conversation on how to handle ISIS and one side claiming the group doesn't exist.
11/18/2015 4:34:02 PM
Sorry I don't treat liberal white-guilt articles as gospel. TWW isn't a liberal echo-chamber yet, go post your HuffingtonPost filth somewhere else. Here is the breakdown of events:-Neighbor called the cops because someone they didn't recognize was messing with a lock-Cops got a call about a burglary, showed up in force-They realized it wasn't the case and left-Woman claims she was traumatized and had her life ruined and is a victim because she is blackSorry to say, there is ZERO evidence that ANYTHING was based off her being black. Worst thing you can claim is inappropriate police entering and searching her home, which isn't an issue of racism, no matter what spin a liberal "journalist" puts on it.[Edited on November 18, 2015 at 4:39 PM. Some brown people need to rob this woman's house. They could cart everything out the front door and not a single neighbor would call the cops now. Lesson learned

^ What about BLM types who interpret any slight against them or anything negative done to them by a non African-American as being the result of the offending party being racist or not liking black people?I'm sure many have dealt with real racial issues but for the most part a lot of the major complaints they have are over issues that are a lot more complex and affect people of all colors and is not the result of [insert person or organization] being racist against Blacks
11/18/2015 8:35:12 PM
I don't think you 'get' BLM. I mean, I'm not even sure I get it completely, but I can at the very least appreciatewhere they're coming from. I think being able to understand different groups of people comes from having some of them close to you in your own life. I'm not going to sit there and say I have a ton of black friends, but I do have a few that are very close to me, and I've been lucky to learn a lot from them about life, and how relatively easy I've had it at times. I had several black roommates in college and grad school and I also think it really gave me a ton of insight into a culture that I thought I knew. I honestly still don't know much. But what I do know is that it's lot more complicated than I initially thought. I'm not going to pretend I'm some ambassador for the Black community, but I think even understanding just a little about their experience and place in society is a million times better where I was before.

I mean if I lock myself out of my house and am trying to find a way in and one of my neighbors who doesn't know me sees me trying to break in and calls the cops I am not gonna be pissed or traumatized. If anything I would thank them for actually noticing something like that and calling the cops. Now, to also be fair, if 19 cop cars rolled up I would be thinking to myself WTF guys!
11/19/2015 10:35:53 AM
^ Exactly, I would be absolutely delighted if my neighbors called the cops on me while I was breaking into my own house. At least I know someone is keeping an eye on it for me.
11/19/2015 10:39:09 AM
^ lol, calling a profession locksmith to open your door isn't breaking into your own house.funny how people will bend over backwards to rationalize racism.
11/19/2015 12:26:10 PM
^ So you really think the neighbor knowing the woman was just trying to get in her apartment, decided to call the police beside she is racist and just wanted to mess with s black person that had the audacity to live in their luxury apartment complex.I'm guessing she was trying to get into the apartment before the lock smith or it was not obvious the locksmith was not a crook.
11/19/2015 12:35:28 PM
Black is not the only minority. And for what it's worth the Princeton thing is a joke...^ again I'm not claiming this is done with racist intent any more than I believe I'm a racist when I have a nervous thought when I see someone. Simply arguing that this inherent non-malicious bias exists and is pretty widespread.[Edited on November 19, 2015 at 12:41 PM. Reason : X]
11/19/2015 12:39:23 PM
Why does the bias exist? I guarantee that if you were to get mugged or have your car broken into in LA the odds would be that the perpetrator would not be white. This is not the result of skin color however, but a result of socio-economic conditions and in some circumstances culture (thug culture) that is popularized.

11/19/2015 1:01:48 PM
Dude you are ridiculous, wonder if you truly believe this or are trolling. If someone had really broken into her house, that the neighbor witnessed I bet she would have claimed racism that the neighbor DIDN'T call the cops because she resident was black and this the privileged white neighbor didn't care enough about her to pick up the phone. When you live somewhere with a major population on under-privileged minorities that do commit a large proportion of the property crimes ( due to socioeconomics ) I don't see how one wouldn't at least be a little more suspicious. I'm don't know if those was really the case for the neighbor in this story.[Edited on November 19, 2015 at 1:08 PM. Reason : H]

11/19/2015 1:05:33 PM
^^ how do you think racism works exactly...? Do you think all racists put up wavy inflatable arm men to indicate their motivations? You have an educated upper class black woman, calling a professional locksmithing service because she was locked out of her house, she wasn't kicking the door in, climbing through a window, jimmying it with a crowbar, etc., have 19 cops show up to her neighborhood because a neighbor assumed the most normal way to get into your apartment when locked out was someone breaking in. This is not a normal reaction.Either the person who called the cops was a completely brain damaged idiot for not realizing what was going on, or something else kicked in to cause irrational fear to set in.
11/19/2015 1:10:16 PM
11/19/2015 1:11:01 PM
they thought she was hispanic, how does that make skin color not a factor?retard
11/19/2015 1:13:37 PM
In PDX we have a large population of Caucasian American that are homeless. A lot have drug problems and it has become endemic issue that subset of this population steal bike parts to make money for their drug habitsThe other day at Safeway, I saw a group of scuzzy looking hipster homeless hanging out nearby. I subsequently decided to pocket all my bike accessories in case these guys had hot hands. I must be AGEIST for thinking hipster looking young people may be bicycle part thieves!
11/19/2015 1:13:43 PM

11/19/2015 1:18:33 PM
^^^ so you're comparing a scuzzy homeless person on the street to an upper-middle class black woman utilizing a professional lock picking service... you don't see where a bias is eeking in here...?[Edited on November 19, 2015 at 1:19 PM. Reason : ]

You are right dude, the neighbor hates black people and thinks they are all criminals! The police officers rolled in force and are so disappointed the lady didn't flight back to give them an excuse to shoot a Blacky since we all know that is the favorite hobby of the police besides eating donuts!
11/19/2015 1:21:34 PM
11/19/2015 1:39:50 PM
Wonder if this would have even been an issue if the neighbor was also black / mexican
11/19/2015 1:47:13 PM
Of course not. Liberalism doesn't touch black on black "issues" (except indirectly when they reference gun violence numbers).Liberalism wants minority victims to defend from evil racist society, but since the year is 2015 as you can tell they are really struggling to show actual examples of "oppression", hence having to resort to "nightmares", "poop swastikas", criminal "martyrs", and jumping into parked cars.
