Turrets no longer suppress? I thought that was half the point...

The regular turret I found pretty useless once I got to 30 anyways, tougher bad guys just smash it. I do use the electric dart shooting turret though cause it will slow down some shotgun runners.

this game is getting kind of stale for me. the only thing i really was playing for is to craft items. grinding for phx credits through easy "hard" missions. even the challenging missions are relatively easy with a good team. people complain about the lack of gun variety in destiny, but this is even worse. run vector+marksman and you can melt things. wish there were some more interesting gameplay mechanics.

i think the dark zone is the biggest disappointment. it is not a pvp area even after they changed the risk/rewards. you just go around killing mindless mobs with no real goal other than to grind rank.

incursions should have been released sooner. at this point i am glad i didnt buy the season pass. i am leaning towards destiny on 4/12.

I think the dark zone is awesome. They had no way of predicting people would be such pussies about turning rogue. I guess the risk reward needs to be adjusted again.

ok, now we are talking. 100% drop rate of high end items from named npcs is going to make the dark zone a lot more fun. you are basically guaranteeing that everyone in there will have a high end item on them, increasing the reward for going rouge.

I transferred a bunch of stuff to a mule character last night that I'm going to twink for the DZ like I'm gonna game this crafting system before the patch I'll just sell a bunch of purples and buy the greens then transfer those over i do what i want!!!

Yeah F that. Maybe I'm not doing it right but filling your stash up with like 30 green pistols is mundane and boring and you spend more time in loading screens than I think it's worth.

I'll just make sure to deconstruct as much as possible before Tuesday.

Have they announced if the paid expansions will have anything similar to a raid? All I can find is that the second expansion may turn the entire map into a Dark Zone.

Was really hoping for a Vault of Glass style raid. Those were good times.

I've signed on the past 3 days and nobody is on playing this. I'll admit, destiny was better. There really feels like no reason to play this right now. I feel like my character is as good as he can be. The set pieces aren't even that much better than the good yellow stuff outside of the gear score being higher just because it's a different color

The set pieces are by far better than yellow gear if you get the set bonuses. If you don't have a 4 piece set going on right now your character has big improvements to make.

Itemization and crafting are pretty fucked in the games current state I will admit; but there is a lot of min/maxing that can go on.

Do you have DZ rank 75? That's what unlocks the 204 weapon blueprints. (they rotate weekly at the DZ vendors)
Do you have DZ rank 50? That's what unlocks the 204 armor piece blueprints. (they rotate weekly at the DZ vendors)
Do you have 65% (4640 armor I believe) damage mitigation via armor? That's the cap and makes a huge difference in both FL and DZ.
How are the rolls on your gear pieces? Each slot has optimal stats (for example gloves are the only place you can get both crit and crit damage, knee pads and backpacks can get crit damage, chests are the optimal place to roll armor, etc)

This isn't even including what talents are on all your pieces and if they are optimized.

Thats just the gear aspect; there is a whole other layer of gear/weapon mod optimizations that get even more granular (and require way more grinding in DZ unfortunately).

Basically I seriously doubt your character is at a point that it can't improve; but I can understand feeling like its not worth the effort in some cases to grind for it.

I had the pleasure of doing Falcon Lost with Wolpfack, sawlt, and eggrow last night.... Shit was a lot of fun. First time beating it legitimately. Can't wait to try it on challenging!

While it has the grind like any other MMO of this sort, I find I can swallow it just fine- mainly due to the excellent, non salty taste of the gameplay. The cover mechanic works incredibly well, and I love the synergy between it, and the various buffs and specials abilities. Its fun and varied, and I can't wait to see how Ubisoft builds on this foundation.

The gunplay in this game is far more interesting than Destiny, which was generic FPS type shit.

Thats part of the game though; its not like they hide that from you.

And its actually not 100% true anymore with challenge mode incursions. 204 items drop from the APC and you are awarded 240 gear.

I don't know if 204 weapons can drop from the APC though. DZ may be the place you have to go.
