GG Pack. There were some issues, sure, but a solid game against a respectable opponent. This is the kind of road win we need.

Nice road win to make up for the home loss. Unfortunately we came into the league behind the 8 ball so we still need to pick up a win we shouldnt get - probably need 2 out of the next 3 to keep hope alive

Enjoy the win, but this ND team was different from the one that beat Indiana and ran Ohio State close, is it something to do with that player kicked off their team?

Also, glad to set a record for ACC "firsts" without being on the losing side. We're Notre Dame's first ACC lost. The Irish got deflowered by the pack.

Gman spent so much time stroking ND he couldn't even name one thing we did to win the game. "Uh, uh, their bigs"

Duke hangover etc . We din't play anywhere close to exceptional tonight. Our performance was as good as the one against PITT. Came out better in the second half maybe?

Gott deserves credit. I think he coached this game better. Gave Lewis some burn too

I'm just glad to see us finish at the foul line

The past few games, a one-and-one was about as good as a turnover

Performance != Result. We shot FTs well against PITT too. Our start to the second half and Gott's coaching cost us that game. Put that in the performance bucket if you want, if not I stand by my statement.

Don't give a fuck if ND is good or not. HUGE confidence game for the supporting cast (people not named TJ).

I am also very open to a win over Virginia.

No pressure. Just putting that out there as a possibility.

Weird game. We didn't really play well but we played together.

That's what happens when you keep the TOs low, rebound well, and hit your FTs when they count. You win the ugly ones. GG.

You can stand by your statement till the cows come home but that doesn't make it any less moronic.
I guess in your mind an epic implosion in the second half after a good 5 minutes in the first half is roughly equivalent to playing at the same level for pretty much the whole game.

Actually, we played a lot better this game as we did a lot more subtle things. Don't let the fast 17-2 start in the Pittsburgh game cloud your logic.

(1) Offense was balanced. TJ is the man, but when he has 1/3 of the team's points that may not always be a good thing b/c that means everyone else is not doing their job. We had contributors from everyone this game, even Lewis who's been quiet on the scoring side this season.

(2) Defense was slightly better, not saying much though. We were in zone most of the game and forced a couple of turnovers. However, there were still guys getting wide open 3's and easy layups/dunks which needs to be fixed.

(3) Vandenberg stepped it up a little this game. He got pissed towards the end of the first half for some reason and amped up his game which carried into the second half. He also showed leadership and intensity when the team needed it.
