You don't have to hit the head to be targeting the head. I don't think they should call targeting against a guy who's running in close quarters when the ball is live. When he's already down and the last guy on to the pile tries to drop a shoulder on the QB's head, that's the very definition of targeting.

Doeren shoulda stayed in the MAC for a couple years. We hired a guy that won at a mid major school with another coaches recruits. We didn't even give him a chance to show that he can establish a program.

Blame that shitty punt fake call, the horrendous offensive calls for a month now and all of the damn penalties we've had to endure on the talent level and O'Brien and continue to ignore the fact that Doeren is not a good coach.

I think if a player gets called for targeting he's ejected no matter what. Now, there's a review afterward to make sure they actually targeted. If it gets reversed, the player isn't ejected but the penalty still stands.
