I've been watching the series through on Netflix again over the last few months and although I vaguely remembered it had a terrible ending, I couldn't remember the specifics.

So I was prepared for it to end badly, and I was STILL disappointed the second time through. It just made no sense given what they had been building towards with his character.

Overall I enjoyed the series again.

Read the books. The last book is probably the best and definitely the way they should've ended the show.
