I'm more tired of having nearly every heel blame "You, the fans" for why they do _____.

for fucks sake, Randy Orton has beaten Cesaro 3 times in the last 6 weeks!! Stop jobbing out your goddamn secondary champions!!

my favorite manager of all time. wish he had been Taker's Wrestlemania manager all these years instead of just sporadically.

RIP

Video of TNA saying goodbye to Orlando, their 2nd long-term home (the 1st was Nashville), as they now take their TV tapings on the road.

The Kurt Angle-Samoa Joe feud in it is still the best thing they ever did.

Ray wins the title from Hardy and is the leader of Aces and Eights.

Best match on the show apparently was Kurt Angle and Wes Brisco. Angle made the youngster look good.

Went to Smackdown TV tapings tonight. New match for Wrestlemania: the Shield vs. Orton/Sheamus/Ryback.

Good main event between Jericho and Swagger.

Most fun match on the show was from the tapings for Saturday Morning Slam. They had R-Truth vs. Antonio Cesaro. Saturday Morning Slam is their kid-friendly show, so they work a little different like doing no shots to the head or anything. There's also some kid-level humor. Cesaro is awesome at playing the heel and playing to that level of comedy. I'm not saying it was a technical masterpiece or anything, but I loved this match. Go find it somewhere after it airs.

I also saw Ted Dibiase wrestle! He won the dark match.

There's a Saturday Morning Slam match between Tyson Kidd and Daniel Bryan that totally rules. Best spot is when Bryan forms himself into a ball; Kidd rolls him all around the ring but can't pin him because his shoulders never touch at the same time when he's in the ball. There also an airplane spin that lasts almost a minute.

It's not like the women have ever been technical masters or anything, but their divas REALLY suck at the moment.

^ Monday was clearly an isolated Paul Bearer tribute show for why Kane won.

Tuesday, they're setting up a Kane/Bryan-Ziggler/Big E Langston tag title match. (Ziggler pinned Bryan on Raw last Monday.)

Mysterio is out injured. WWE's official word is he'll be back in June. Privately, they're trying to negotiate a release of him thinking with his injuries occurring so often he can't wrestle full-time anymore, but where they get to keep his merchandising rights because he sells a lot of merchandise for them (probably also a deal where he can't wrestle for TNA/CMLL/AAA). They're also a bit scared because he's their #1 Mexican star, they've given up on Sin Cara, and del Rio has not gotten over like they hoped.

Mysterio has seen Dr. James Andrews and Andrews told him he didn't need surgery and has given him a splint to walk around with.

well my power went out from 9 to midnight last night so i missed Raw in it's entirety. Reading the recaps it sounded like a pretty terrible show other than a couple bright spots. I wasn't quite clear, is it Big E/Ziggler vs. Team Hell No for the Tag Team titles? And did they officially announce Ryback/Henry?

^^^ is it his wrestling career, or his "career" career, ie Mr. McMahon 2.0? if the latter, yeah, that's a lock for an Haich win. but if it's his wrestling career, consider he wrestles about as frequently as Taker nowadays, I wouldn't be so sure. they've jobbed Lesnar over pretty badly in his appearances this contract year (that Cena match, ugh), if they want him to look credible in the next year of his extended contract, he needs to do something big

they won't let HHH job out to Brock Lesnar. HHH will win and avenge the McMahon family. This will vault Lesnar into a wrecking ball heel run leaving a wake up destruction in his path leading up to a Cena/Lesnar match next year.

I believe they're going for Rock/Lesnar for WM 30, but I could see Punk/Lesnar thrown in between, perhaps Summerslam?

at some point Lesnar's turning face, I can't imagine Punk turning face anytime soon as he's not going to get ranked above Cena, so yeah sure, I'd go closer to Wrestlemania next year to keep it more fresh in people's minds, maybe Survivor Series

Watching Impact tonight. Tonight's show was taped last week when they were in Chicago. But interspersed in the middle are a bunch of Bully Ray promos pretty much explaining his master plan over the last 9 months, otherwise known as "let's make sense of all these unexplained plot holes and sew them up". Pretty good, worth a watch.

If anyone thinks Brock is actually going to be scripted by Hunter to beat Hunter at Wrestlemania, in a rematch from Summerslam last year where Brock won and "broke Hunter's arm", even though it'd be the right thing for business if Brock is headlining Wrestlemania next year as is tentatively scheduled right now, I'll bet you $20 on it.

the Japanese Wrestlemania, from the Tokyo Dome in January, the sound cuts out between matches I think to allow it to catch up for the uploader, Japanese language commentary, fun show, all the matches are different

I highlight the people you may know both from wrestling and MMA:

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxkmne_njpw-wrestle-kingdom-7-2013-1-4-part-1_sport

-a couple pre-show dark matches, in the first match here is Tama Tonga, a guy that if he were in the U.S. would need be the next Jimmy Superfly Snuka, and "Captain New Japan", a comedy Captain America ripoff; the second match has Jushin Liger, a legend that once wrestled in WCW

-show starts at 31 minutes in

1. Strongman (an American indy worker with so much steroids in him he makes Ryback look clean, a walking heartattack waiting to happen), Akebono (Hawaiian former yokozuna in sumo), MVP (former WWE midcarder), & Manabu Nakanishi vs. Takashi Iizuka, Bob Sapp (a super huge MMA superstar in Pride about 8 years ago), Toru Yano, & Yujiro Takahashi (note: worst match on the card)

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxknqg_njpw-wrestle-kingdom-7-2013-1-4-part-2_sport

2. Masato Tanaka (former ECW champion, the real ECW, not the faux WWE version) vs. Shelton Benjamin (longtime WWE midcarder, now wrestles in ROH, may be getting back into WWE pretty soon)

3. IWGP Tag Team Championship: Davey Boy Smith Jr. (yes, Davey Boy's son, David Hart Smith in WWE) & Lance Archer (Lance Hoyt in TNA, blink-and-you'd-miss-him Vance Archer in WWE) vs. Hirooki Goto & Karl "Machine Gun" Anderson (American worker that's wrestled in Japan for awhile, was longtime tag team partners with Albert before he came back to the U.S. to wrestle in WWE as Tensai, Anderson will be wrestling at the pre-Wrestlemania ROH show in 2 weeks)

4. Minoru Suzuki vs. Yuji Nagata (Nagata long ago was in WCW, he's been KO'd in MMA matches by Mirko Cro Cop and Fedor)

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxko1w_njpw-wrestle-kingdom-7-2013-1-4-part-3_sport

5. IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship: Prince Devitt (Irishman that's wrestled in Japan forever and may be best technical wrestler in the world right now) vs. Kota Ibushi vs. Low-Ki (American indy guy, Kaval in WWE, Senshi in TNA, in this match he wears a ridiculous outfit where he cosplays in a suit as I assume "Hitman" from the Hitman video games)

--Intermission--

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxkohm_njpw-wrestle-kingdom-7-2013-1-4-part-4_sport

6. Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Keiji Muto (the Great Muta in WCW) & Shinjiro Otani

7. Togi Makabe vs. Katsuyori Shibata

8. IWGP Intercontinental Championship: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kazushi Sakuraba (MMA superstar in Pride returning to his pro wrestling roots)

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxkoyb_njpw-wrestle-kingdom-7-2013-1-4-part-5_sport

9. IWGP Heavyweight Championship: Hiroshi Tanahashi (arguably best wrestler in the world at the moment) vs. Kazuchika Okada

watching a 3 hour raw is consistently taking about 50% of the time watching a 2 hour raw used to. Thanks, shitty booking/writing and DVR!

^^one upside to how shitty WM is gonna be is that we won't need to worry about paying any attention to the matches and can dedicate all efforts to snark.

so since they can recreate dead people with holograms nowadays, I'm hoping the ghostly hologram of Paul Bearer shows up at WM to scare the shit out of Punk so Taker wins. Now THAT'S WRASSLIN

other than that, yes, the card is shaping up to be a shitshow of WM9 proportions
