that shitty shade of blue has been a team color since 1995they actually made it a little darker a few years ago
4/3/2012 9:42:11 PM
well yeah, i realize that's their color. they probably considered that when deciding the colors for a Carolina team. but it's not just that. it's the design, the prominent "CAROLINA", the invisible panthers' logo... i don't know, i'm not usually a conspiracy theorist, maybe i'm just being paranoid.
4/3/2012 9:55:07 PM
4/3/2012 9:56:13 PM
Should be black. We wear black more than blue, and all the other teams that wear black have black hats. I'm thinking the design was the NFL's doing, but they might've given the Panthers the option of going blue or black, and in picking blue, looking at the mockups, they had to have at least seen the resemblance, and any competent marketing department would've woken up Richardson from his nap/dump and said hey, we might have ourselves an opportunity here.
4/3/2012 10:00:18 PM
They probably picked that specific blue so that they don't get sued for picking a more popular color that another team might be using. And they are just trying to appeal to fans from both Carolinas with that name...
4/3/2012 10:00:43 PM
you people
4/3/2012 10:01:58 PM
yeah, i said that, that was part of my point.[Edited on April 3, 2012 at 10:02 PM. Reason : ^^]
4/3/2012 10:01:59 PM
More popular color? Black is universal. Six other teams have black hats! Are we talking shades of black? Ebony Cashmere? Velvet Charcoal? Get the hell out of here.
4/3/2012 10:04:26 PM
the oakland raiders tried suing the panthers over their uniform colors...you can sue for anything....
4/3/2012 10:09:08 PM
4/3/2012 10:09:47 PM
and looking at the rest of the hats, i notice that CAROLINA's is one of the few that has the invisible logo (besides Miami and Oakland)
4/3/2012 10:10:06 PM
what? they are all the damn same.
4/3/2012 10:13:34 PM
What do you think 21 year olds prefer, sky blue or black? What comprises a greater percentage of their wardrobe? I would really like to know.
4/3/2012 10:15:25 PM
^^Seriously? you don't see that most of the logos are more prominent than Carolina, Miami, and Oakland's? From a distance, you couldn't make the logos out on those three hats. The rest you can.[Edited on April 3, 2012 at 10:20 PM. Reason : Jacksonville's is kinda invisible too]
4/3/2012 10:19:57 PM
i'll wait until i actually see them all at the draft to tell you. pictures don't always do justice to details like that.
4/3/2012 10:22:24 PM
well maybe if the panthers have a better season, the logo will become prominent...
4/3/2012 10:24:39 PM
Bullet, while I agreed with your thesis in principle, I felt that your tenuous grasp of the English language didn't allow you to string together a coherent argument to support that point. I simply put it into terms people could understand.
4/3/2012 10:25:48 PM
sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit[Edited on April 3, 2012 at 10:26 PM. Reason : x]
my bad slave (double-posting while busting on my grammar), i don't have a way with words. i hope my point was pretty clear, but i'll let you do the talking.
4/3/2012 10:31:27 PM
if you don't like the hat, don't buy it. Simple as that.On the other note, does anyone know when the NFL release the schedule? I'm trying to go to couple of games this year, specifically the game in ATL.
4/3/2012 11:45:26 PM
nevermind, my point has already been made for me]
4/4/2012 8:22:54 AM
^^ yeah. its not like that the ONLY panthers hat they're selling - not even by a long shot ya can't blame their merchandising/marketing dept for targeting the largest audience in our own state with that design anyways... more merch$ should = more Big Cat $pend

ha, my comment was a joke...it got ran with. So is Cam staying with the #1 or switching to #2 when they cut pickles.
4/4/2012 3:42:04 PM
Pretty sure he would have to buy all of the merch. that was made with his name and the # 1.
4/4/2012 3:44:14 PM
He's number 1 now. Auburn might as well have been 20 years ago.
4/4/2012 3:47:24 PM
sweet, ordering a cam jersey!
4/4/2012 3:54:33 PM
i was reading about this yesterday...you may not get it for 6 weeks or something like that. maybe even longer for someone in high demand like Cam.
4/4/2012 3:57:40 PM
Sunday night NBC preseason week 3 at the Jets, niceCam should play into the second half
4/4/2012 4:21:21 PM

4/4/2012 4:34:18 PM

4/4/2012 4:38:33 PM

4/4/2012 4:39:25 PM

Sweet, Beason is a beast. I had to do some of the same exercises in physical therapy following my acl surgery and a lot of the issues come from being able to change direction or during stop/go situations. Have to lern to change weight without favoring the injured knee. Doesn't look like he had any issues at all.
4/8/2012 1:22:14 AM
^^ Great video. Holy shit he is ripped! Also, one of my favorite quotes by him: "If I had to do it all over again, and go into that game with my Achilles injury, I would. Because football defines who I am. Sometimes you have to do something that you’ve never done to get something you’ve never had. The motivating factor is simple for me. To win, and not fear failure." Extended Steve Smith for 3 years.http://www.profootballweekly.com/2012/04/09/smith-panthers-agree-to-three-year-extension

Beason looks like he's in the best shape he's ever been in.
4/10/2012 1:30:50 PM
normally I wouldn't think giving an extension like that to a 32-33 year old receiver would be wisebut Smith is going to be a boss until he retires.[Edited on April 10, 2012 at 2:57 PM. Reason : and shit beason looks awesome in that video -- excellent news]
