lol, i just saw you have to pay an extra $200 if you want a VESA mount
6/5/2019 9:22:51 AM
They're obviously targeting the high-end video production market. Is the market that big and are they this insensitive to price?
6/5/2019 11:29:03 AM
and do they have to move them frequently where a magnet mount is preferred over standard VESA?
6/5/2019 12:16:06 PM
So stupid. Like engadget or gizmodo said - just save the PR fallout and charge 6k for a monitor with a free stand.
6/6/2019 10:20:38 AM
I think I might switch to an iPhone when they can sell me a phone with 7 cameras on the back.
9/16/2019 10:06:34 PM
samsung will have done that 2 years before the iphone though.
9/17/2019 9:21:22 AM
If apple watch series 6 is lackluster next year like series 5, i am switching to Android next year. Supposedly 2020 iphone is supposed to be better
9/17/2019 10:03:02 PM
You can buy the new Mac Pro nowThe $6000 model comes with a 256GB SSD
12/10/2019 12:45:07 PM
Just officially starting using ipad. Feels like a bigger iphone for me.
12/10/2019 1:17:53 PM
Just picked up an iPad Pro 11" with the Apple keyboard. I really like it. Once you get the keyboard shortcuts down it's a great laptop substitute for a lot of what I do (Email, Slack, reviewing docs). Also a great Reddit device.
12/11/2019 11:48:33 AM
The Pro is no different with Surface imo. But Ipad Air and Ipad mini are really specially. I'll just start with the basic one first.
12/11/2019 12:52:13 PM
12/12/2019 3:33:48 PM
Im gonna buy the $50k version for minecraft
12/12/2019 9:19:23 PM
I just realize that what’ In my hand is an air version of IPad, not the basic model
12/13/2019 1:57:05 PM
I’d switch to android if it were not for wearables
12/13/2019 9:53:22 PM
The IOS, IpadOS, WatchOS, macOS are really powerful. They force you to use their products. Only Chrome can be compared probably.
12/19/2019 9:04:37 AM
^^You don't have to go with android for wearables. Garmin makes great watches that do most of that these smartwatches do, that integrate well with android. And AirPods have been outclassed by cheaper, better alternatives.
12/19/2019 9:22:12 AM
I heard Apple watch 5 was far more advanced than any other smartwatches.
12/19/2019 9:29:12 AM
For some features. The Apple Watch is a Smart watch first and an activity tracker second. Garmin watches are activity trackers first and smart watches second. Garmins are significantly more advanced in: 1. Battery life2. GPS technology3. Durability 4. Outdoor activity trackingYou have to clarify what "advanced" means. The higher end Garmin watches also cost a whole heck of a lot more than Apple watches as well. [Edited on December 19, 2019 at 3:40 PM. Reason : s]
12/19/2019 3:40:25 PM
Of course. Garmin watch is more like Fitbit. It's a wearable device for workout.Apple watch is also good at health tracking stuff, even iphone can do that. It can even track woman's period cycle.
12/19/2019 4:03:11 PM
^^^^i have gen 1 and 2 airpods, used them like twice since i got Powerbeats Pro. Battery life and tactile buttons are greatBut perhaps if i can find a suitable replacement, I will look into Garmin and then I can go back to android
12/20/2019 6:28:25 AM
I would love to have a Garmin Fenix watch, but I simply can't afford one. I have a 735xt and love it. It's definitely a running watch first, and if you're looking to make calls and listen to music from a....watch, then that isn't the type of device for you. But you still get notifications, you get GPS, incomming calls, waterproofing (it's made to swim with) but what sold me was a 7 day battery life when not using GPS, and when going for runs using GPS, you still get several days.
12/20/2019 8:23:13 AM
Are they still gonna expand to RTP in the future like Microsoft? The governor says there's still a chance.Garmin has a site here. The finger recognition technique was bought from the founder of K4connect here.[Edited on December 20, 2019 at 10:41 AM. Reason : add another note]
12/20/2019 10:33:00 AM
the people i know who previously knew some details when things were going on behind the scenes told me recently they have no idea now
12/20/2019 11:11:47 AM
They purchased the land already, just next to Cisco/Netapp and roughly 10 mins' driving from my home. Can't wait.
12/20/2019 11:29:25 AM
apple can afford to hold the land indefinitely, it's not a hard property to unload if they change their mindthere is no guarantee anything ever happens
12/20/2019 12:39:56 PM
I understand and I don't think it's coming in the near future b/c they just open the Austin site.[Edited on December 20, 2019 at 4:05 PM. Reason : they just don't want to move the ass off.]
12/20/2019 4:03:45 PM
So it looks like Apple is planning on ditching wired charging altogether.I don't see how this is going to go over well with many folks, specifically because of the ability to charge in the car. Does Apple expect people to buy wireless chargers that plug into cig lighter holes? I just don't see how that would work too well. Not everybody has built-in wireless charging in their cars.
12/24/2019 9:36:25 AM
i mean they don't give a fuck that you can't charge and listen to headphones at the same time and don't even sell a 1st party dongle to do it, so i don't think they care at all about what kind of chargers you'll need to buy
12/24/2019 3:04:15 PM
Wife surprised me with the new AirPod Pros... won't get here until Jan 13.While I'm thankful for such a great gift; I'm contemplating canceling. I don't run anymore and rarely travel, so I don't really need them. Especially since I have regular AirPods as well as a pair of noise canceling Bose headphones. Any reason why I should keep them?
12/26/2019 2:09:35 PM
12/26/2019 10:31:25 PM
My answer would depend whether your airpods are gen 1 or gen 2.
12/27/2019 5:25:31 PM
gen 1.
12/30/2019 12:08:01 AM
I’d say keep them. “Hey siri” functionality and newer battery. If you had gen 2 I’d recommend the opposite.
12/30/2019 5:15:39 PM
I wear my Bose over my AirPods in an airplane. You get the Bose noise cancelling with the AirPod ease of pairing with the iPhone. I’d say keep the pros because they’re a lil smaller and give your regular AirPods to a poor person or something.
12/30/2019 10:08:30 PM
^if you're giving wireless bluetooth headphones to someone that needs that functionality, then they ain't that poor.
1/2/2020 8:40:24 AM
^ everybody's phones have Bluetooth now d00d, even, gasp, poor people's :sigh:[Edited on January 2, 2020 at 2:08 PM. Reason : Hell everybody's everything has Bluetooth and has for a long time.]
1/2/2020 2:07:27 PM
^He wasn’t arguing otherwise imo. All phones have bluetooth, even cheap ones. Chances are if they have a cheap phone, they won’t have truly wireless earbuds is what I think he is trying to say
1/2/2020 8:07:56 PM
It was just a flippant comment. But of course poor people have bluetooth, and having bluetooth (or airpods for that matter) isn't a sign of not being poor... wtf...
1/3/2020 9:50:15 AM
Damn these AirPod Pros sound nice. I was planning to return, but I'm a sucker.

haven't bought an apple product in 15+ years, but def made a mint on the stock over the years
6/15/2020 2:42:14 PM
M1 is innovative
11/21/2020 12:50:26 AM
yes.. Reminds me of tesla with the vertical integration making them pretty hard to compete with.
11/23/2020 6:27:09 AM
Just got iphone se 2 amd apple watch 6 for about 450 shipped. Def both way more zippy than the series 3 and x i had. Sold both old models for 380, so can’t complain to upgrade both for $70
11/23/2020 11:26:53 PM
The Vision Pro is going to be interesting, still looks goofy but apparently the interaction model and os is good
6/8/2023 11:17:28 PM
And at $3400, it's a steal!
