Ordered my last two things I really wanted for our home gym last night with some gift certificates! Once they get here the wife and I can cancel our gym membership and have basically everything I was using at the gym available at home.

1/6/2011 12:49:19 PM
That thought of that made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.
1/6/2011 12:52:24 PM
^codys the same wayfunny thing.his sister made waffles with cottage cheese in them recently and he gobbled em up.
1/6/2011 12:56:01 PM
In them or on them, there's a distinct difference.I think cottage cheese is disgusting on its own. However, when my fiance makes lasagna and uses half cottage cheese and half ricotta, I can't really tell so I'm like "whatev."
1/6/2011 12:58:16 PM
in them. basically cottage cheese filled waffles.

i like smoothies with coconut and nuts mixed inand for increased flavor I use frozen 100% juice concentrates, you dont need to add but a small spoonful for alot of flavor.helps especially for when youre buying fruit out of season and they arent as good, but youve reallly got a sweet tooth[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 1:23 PM. 1/6/2011 1:22:45 PM
^ahahaha and i hate coconut
1/6/2011 1:23:43 PM
I really hate starting out exercising. I've figured out that I need to exercise every day in order to keep it up. I know exercising every day is bad, but if I do something low key then I think it will be alright. However, I'm so sore right now I can barely move around without pain. being out of shape sucks ass!
1/6/2011 1:26:26 PM
Mmmm ... lasagna with cottage cheese is the shiz. Also, salsa + cottage cheese = teh winz. I prefer savory/salty over sweet anytime.
1/6/2011 1:27:56 PM
^meeeeeeeeeeeee too! youre the one who introduced me to salsa + cc
1/6/2011 1:30:01 PM
Why would you ruin perfectly good salsa with cottage cheese?
1/6/2011 1:34:26 PM
For protein Then again, as a pescetarian who detests beans, I tend to rely on dairy (usually Greek yogurt) for a majority of my protein.Regardless, it tastes awesome. What's wrong with cottage cheese?[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 1:41 PM. Reason : k]

For anyone who used ON Natural 100% Whey, Amazon just started including it in their subscribe and save program again. Just got 5 lbs for $35.
1/6/2011 1:45:00 PM
Cottage cheese with fruity salsa is also delicious, because you get both the sweet and the salty. Pineapple salsa is amaaaaaaazing with it (because plain pineapple is my favorite sweet accompaniment)

I'm tired of seeing this thread (or the last one) and then feeling like shit. I'm in.Upcoming workout schedule:Thursday - HockeyFriday - Hockey Saturday - Arms and Back + AbsSunday - PlyometricsMonday - Shoulders and Arms + AbsTuesday - Too tired/sore to do anythingI did P90x 2 years ago and it worked well. I think I'm going to try and incorporate it with other physical activities so it doesn't consume my life. The results probably won't be as quick but it will be much more enjoyable.

I will make my official post in this thread later tonight - but I just survived my first TRX class! Woo!
1/6/2011 8:41:12 PM
What's TRX? And where do you do it? Today's Food/Diet ReportWorkout: 4-mile run, then I taught spin class. Run total for the year is up to 35 miles.Breakfast: Greek yogurt with special kSnack: AlmondsLunch: Tomato soupSnack: String cheeseDinner: Hummus with pitaMy trainer keeps pushing protein shakes on me as an optimal post-workout food ... they taste fine but I really hate them. They're all so sweet. Why must all protein shakes be a dessert flavor? Is this the best way to get lots of protein? Or is it okay to eat whole foods that are a bit more savory after a workout?[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 10:03 PM. Reason : .]

^You dont eat anything. Is that even 1500 calories total? You might have the slowest metabolism on the board, lol.
1/6/2011 10:06:18 PM
Based on portion sizes, it's probably between 1700 and 2000But I work a very sedentary job, so my daily calorie allotment isn't that high anyway
1/6/2011 10:09:57 PM
Today I ran 3 miles and then played Dance Central with friends. food:Breakfast: blueberry and banana shake with 1/4 cup skim milk, 1/4 cup Greek yogurt, and 1/8 cup granolaMid-morning: 1 egg scramble with sun-dried tomatoes, and a light spread of light Boursin on 1 slice gluten-free breadLunch: 3 ounces salmon, quinoa and mushroomsDinner: 3 ounces baked chicken with homemade pesto/basil sauce, brown rice, and green beansAlcohol: 3 (but this is the only time I drank this week)Dessert: 2 small chocolate cupcakesNormally I don't have alcohol or dessert. We had friends over for dinner tonight so it was a nice treat. [Edited on January 6, 2011 at 10:46 PM. Reason : Edit]

Iheartkisses, please eat some real wholesome food. Or is the foods for that day, just because you didn't have time? I hope that's not what you eat regularly...
1/6/2011 10:54:28 PM
^^^Don't be silly! A sedentary job is probably counteracted by the 35 miles you ran in the past six days and the spin classes you teach...and whatever else I'm sure you do.
1/6/2011 10:54:59 PM
your sedentary job probably makes no difference relative to the metabolism you must have/are developing with your training regimenim blessed to have a job that i get to rock sweats and sweat it out while i work, but really thats just water i could lose weight without doin that as well as lose weight sitting at my deskIve learned that once i reallly get goin with the exercise i can lose 2.5 lbs a day not having done jack shit just metabolic weight loss[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 10:59 PM. 1/6/2011 10:57:19 PM
According to thedailyplate, workouts are supposed to be considered separate from regular activities. So if you sit at a desk 8 hours a day but go to the gym, you're still considered sedentary. And this wasn't a typical daily meal plan. We had an emergency project at work, so couldn't go out to lunch as planned. Had to work with what was avail at the time. ^ What do you do?[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 11:04 PM. Reason : s]

work in a research greenhouse
1/6/2011 11:14:54 PM
coolI wear yoga pants to work, but that's just because I'm apathetic and lazy about appearances. It's typically frowned upon. Workout clothing is awesome though. Speaking of which, have any of you ladies worn Lululemon workout attire? Is it worth the higher pricetag?
