I like several of the songs individually, but taken as a whole this album is kind of a slog to get through for me.

I'd give it a solid B

Maybe, but It's Never Over --> Porno --> Afterlife is an amazing 3 song run.

I agree. I like it a little more after 4-5 listens than I did at first but I don't see this as an album I'll go back to frequently.

[Edited on October 30, 2013 at 1:02 PM. Reason : We Exist is definitely my favorite song on it]

a few fantastic songs (reflektor, we exist, joan of arc, afterlife) and a lot of really good songs (awful sound>it's never over is quite a one-two punch).

removing normal person (awful), here comes the night time II (boring), and the last 5 minutes of supersymmetry (superunnecessary) would make this a much more fluid end to end album.

still love 'em and can't wait to see them on tour for this record.

Before the first song on the CD. You've got to rewind it past 0:00.

I'm going to give it a few more listens, but I thought it was pretty terrible.

I haven't given it a dedicated listen--just background music while I clean today. But this morning my son was bobbing around to it

no idea if it's in the works or not, but it is entirely possible that they will be here for Merge's 25th anniversary next summer

Wow I wasn't really expecting to be waiting 9 months to see them. Not being able to get tickets to the Brooklyn shows was brutal.

I can't imagine they won't do something for Merge XXV.

There's a portion of Afterlife at the beginning of the song and at the end of the bridge where the background singers sing, "ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh."

It reminds me of some '90s song that I can't recall. Can anyone help with this? Thanks.
