I'm kinda concerned for you, so I looked up the symptoms of groin hernias.

# Swelling in groin next to genitalia or in scrotum that may or may not be able to be pushed "back in"
# Discomfort at site of lump
# Painful lump
# Severe colicky abdominal pain
# Vomiting
# Abdominal distension
# Constipation
# Diarrhoea
# Fever

How many of these symptoms do you meet? The main one is are you able to push it "back in"? Or do you think you can "pop" it by sticking a pin into it?

This doesn't sound like a hernia. Housemate had one; it was roughly the size of a softball under the skin - not small at all. And he complained that it felt like it had a burning sensation under his skin when he would move the wrong way (walking/stairs/etc.)

In my completely untrained opinion at 4 in the morning it sounds like Folliculitis - infected hair follicle. I had it on my chest (most likely from a pool). It felt a bit like a ping-pong ball under the skin - just got it lanced and a little drainage string put in. About 3 days later it was good to go.

^ mine is not as big as a ping pong ball and/or softball. but maybe. it doesn't seem like its just under the skin though it seems like it is deep insideeee. so i was thinking hernia or swollen lymph node. or something else, which is scary. no tumors please.

^^ i don't know, it is definitely painful and i don't like trying to push it back in because that hurts to push and kind of makes me feel sick to push on. i don't know if i have out of the ordinary diarrhea or constipation because my digestive system is always super messed up so that is hard to tell. no vomiting or anything though.

i just don't like it. neeeeed health insurance to come pronto

Just call the provider really fast. It doesn't activate the moment it arrives. Chances are it's already active during snail mail transfer.

Just write down your policy number and information and give it to the receptionist

well my doctor doesn't think it is a hernia. she saw me on the downlow today. she said it seems more like a cyst caused by a staph/mrsa infection

yay.

YAY BB THANKS YOU

oh, lol thank you too!!! ^

OK TWW DOCTORS: what is the dealio. pinched nerve?

so i have this spot on my lower left back like right around the hip area. perhaps it is best called my flank? i don't know. very low on the back, to the left. not the far outside left but more to the center left, but def on the left.

and it is very painful. painful to the touch. and it hurts sometimes. but not in like a back spasm/cramp way, in a different way. it like radiates pain down my left leg and is more of a stabbing/pinching pain than a crampy/achey pain. it doesn't hurt 24/7 but it does hurt pretty much everyday. like to the point where it hurts to walk and it is hard to find a comfortable sitting position.

what is it?

but what is wrong with my back?

a lot has happened since august. i wanted to bump this thread like 2819732891 times but i've been trying to quit my addictions. which means posting on tww less (not doing so hot ton). and not diagnosing myself with diseases as much.

last weekend i had either the flu or food poisoning though! i threw up. a lot. lost 6lbs.

Yep it's a cyst that could POTENTIALLY lead to my paralysis. We're still looking into it.

Please go to a doctor and ask about that

That's what i thought mine was at first but I was wrong,

where is the pain exactly? along the front or back of your leg or both?

ummmm hard to say. i guess both, but i don't know. def the back. potentially the front. when it happens it hurts so bad i guess i haven't really paid attention to exactly where...i'm all "ow my back, ow my leg." i will try to do that the next time it hurts.

but sometimes like moving my leg is what causes the area on my back to hurt. i'll just be walking and then it'll happen. but sometimes its the other way around. it starts hurting then my leg hurts.

ok it happend while driving. it is like my back back and then shoots up/out toward my kidney? and around toward the front of my hip. a little down the back of my body but not like all the way down my leg. kinda just stops around the butt cheek area. it just hurts to move my leg. i guess i should just go to the doctor lol. my dad gave me his giftcard to a massage place and was like "get a massage" but it doesn't seem muscular and i'm scared if they press (even GRAZE) the area, it will hurt bad :/

well i tried to pay attention. that was the first time it happened sitting down it usually starts standing up and then continues sitting down.

anyways, i just drove home from babysitting so...that is how it went haha

i know i don't think it is

i just don't really buy into the fibromyalgia thing

i mean i GUESS IT IS REAL. but i really don't want to be diagnosed with that. i'd rather it be something else. not lupus, that seems just as bad.

but too much pain everyday and too much fatigue!

HELP SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH MY EYE

i'm not kidding

maybe i've watched too much netflix instant watch

but one eye feels very pressured and like headache above my eyebrow. and my vision is kinda cloudy oh and it has been red all over for 4 days.

probs should go to my eye dr huh? they've been stalking me for a checkup anyways.

maybe i just scratched my eye or something and don't need the doctor? it just hurts a lot. and eyes are kind of on of my more valued body parts. if it was my arm or something i wouldn't be concerned. well i'd prob post in this thread but never do anything about it. this time i'm seriously contemplating going to the dr. only because i like to see.

i mean i know i have TWO eyes but i kinda wanna keep both of 'em, know what i'm sayin?

but p.s. i am for real looking for any legit advice if you know shit about eyes.

p.p.s. i have also had tingling in my right arm (well mostly hand...ring and pinky fingers) and my right ankle/foot for the past few days. no idea if that could possibly be related to my eye.

"Hello. I'm 45 year old female and I need some information about the condition I have developed.
You see, about a week ago I have started to suffer from really strong headache. The truth is that I have never had any problems with headaches and that this frightens me a bit.
Beside the headaches, my husband also noticed that my eyes turned into dark red color. What is going on with me?
I don’t know anything about this and that’s why I would like to hear more about the possible cause of these headaches and this bloodshot eyes. Thanks!

Hello. First I think you shouldn’t panic that much because many people complained on the same symptoms. You have described almost typical migraine symptoms.
Generally, migraine begins as a dull ache and then develops into a constant throbbing and pulsating pain that you may feel at the temples, as well as the front or back of one or both sides of the head. The red eyes are caused by enlarged, dilated blood vessels leading to the appearance of redness on the surface of the eye. There are many conditions that can cause you these red eyes and the most commons are dry air, sun exposure, dust, foreign body, an allergic reaction, infection, trauma, or straining or coughing.
Contact your doctor over this for proper evaluation!

"Left red eye and headache?

So I've sometimes gotten headaches on the left side of my head, and they are kind of painful but go away in about 10 seconds. They happen sometimes once a day. I used to get thunderclap orgasm headaches but they went away recently.

Now, I have an anxiety disorder, making me kind of a hypochondriac.

Recently my eye gets red at night. On the same side as I have the headaches!

I rub my eyes frequently but I don't think my left more than my right.

I'm really freaking out and I don't know if I'm going to be able to sleep tonight.

Someone please help

Yes, a dog sleeps with me. I'm just really really worried.

It could just be a coincidence that my eye is red on the side I get headaches, but I'm just so scared it's something serious where I'm going to have a stroke or something

I'm not sure what the headaches are about but I think maybe your eye is red from some type of allergic reaction. Change your bed sheets and wash your hair before going to bed. Your hair can trap allergens and you can carry them, and certain types of pollen, to bed with you. does a pet sleep on your bed? A dog or cat? You could also try something like Benadryl before bed because it will make you sleepy but will take care of anything you might be allergic to. You can also try changing your pillow and see if that helps. Pillows can trap allergens too.

yea. i don't think it is allergies because i wear contacts so i know what allergy eyes feel like

this is like, pain moving my eye and pain in the brow bone (v. sinus pressure or pain). i don't know what it is. i probably just scratched it or something

i know i need my vision checked anyway because i have halos around lights now which prob means my dumb vision has changed again (i have the worst eye sight of all time).

i am used to the feeling of eye irritation, but this doesn't feel like something is in my eye. it hurts like behind my eye

if it is vision change then it is probably my right eye has gotten worse and my left eye (the one that hurts a lot) is trying to over compensate. sounds like the most plausible answer to me. its just that i don't really NOTICE a change, but probably because my one eye is over compensating. and why is it red, yo. it looks creepy. or like i got really stoned. in one eye.

hahaha for real. dear joe#s. my eye hurts. once you had a hurt eye. pls help and/or send replacement eye. love, me.

i just don't know if i should go to my regular doctor or the eye doctor is what i really wanna know. if it is like a vitamin deficiency (i don't know if eye problems can be caused by anemia, but i've been very anemic in the past...both kinds...b12 and the other kind) then maybe i should skip the eye doc and just go to my regular doc.

but if i have like an optic nerve tumor, prob want the eye doctor

jk. i hope. i'm sure it is just something dumb but it is bothering/worrying me. but mostly it is just annoying because something happens and i look over real quick and then i'm like "OW MY EYE" because it hurts to move it quick like.

I kinda skimmed the first part, but is it on the same side? Does any portion of your neck feel tight? Sometimes when I would get tension headaches it would feel like in a straight line going from my eye to my browbone, then down my neck/back and into my arm (little tingles). Not sure if my eye was ever red... but if it has been hurting you and you have been rubbing your eye, that might hurt (not sure if you are rubbing your eye, just sayin)

^^ yea it is prob just a tension headache/pinched nerve. it isn't the same side. its the left eye and then my right arm and right leg that tingle (and have for awhile...totally tingling on my fingers right now). sometimes i get this really really weird crawling/tingling sensation in my back. like something crawling under the skin kinda. or like a wave. hard to explain.

i think i'll just get a massage and see if that helps!!! because its probably all just tension. and then the eye thing...eh...i'm due for an eye checkup anyway. ^ i know, hopefully it'll be gone tomorrow. its been like this for 4 days though so i'm like...ok eye, enough is enough!

I was going with migraine- until the eye was red. It still can be a migraine and you should see a doctor. Also they can rule out any kind of infection.

chronic pain

discuss

i think i'm actually going to the doctor finally instead of just looking at all of the different things it could be on webmd.com and then posting here haahaha. LUPUS. A TUMOR. ETC.

where should i go? this has been like years of trying to figure out the pain...but its gotten way, way worse over the past year or so. now it is like, unbearable at times. just a general internist to start? i guess that is what you do...i'm just sick of being in pain. this is not hyperbole people. this is for real.

also i have to go to another doctor for a different problem but i guess i don't really want to discuss that on the interwebz.

and before anyone says anything i have been eating healthier AND exercising (so much so i have lost weight yay) howeverrrrrrr the pain has gotten 0% better. even my clothes touching me hurts.

all in all, i probably have like 97 different kinds of cancer.

i think i have TMJ
for real you guys

wasn't there a thread on this? i don't wanna pay $texas at the dentist or whatever

can i just get like a sports mouth guard to sleep w/ at night? i used to have the special kind from the dentist (twice) but i bit through it both times

what about during the day? i try not to clench my jaw but it is something i don't realize i'm doing

and for pain? what works best? tylenol? ibuprofen? combo?

am i doing irreversible jaw damage? even just opening my mouth in the slightest causes all kinds of grinding and crunching and locking and lots of ouchies. it hurts to chew now to even take a bite. just sitting here hurts but obviously moving it hurts worse which is kind of a prob because i like to eat. and talk. and it is causing headaches (bad ones) all the way up to my temples.

OUCH HALP. paging Joie

I feel like I've answered this before. It's stress. Same stuff happens to me when I get stressed over something. You will never, ever notice it but when you sleep you clench and grind because you can't relax. I get a sore jaw (ibtjokes) when I know I have something stressful going on or on my mind.
