Kerry Kittles. Jesus. I feel like he disappeared kind of fast. Or maybe he was in the league longer than I thought. What a great magazine cover.

Incredible game between Miami and LAIf you're not watching this you better have a damn good excuse
3/4/2010 10:44:34 PM
Games like that are why I love the NBAPop Quiz: Who has the ugliest beard between Haslem and Freeway?
3/4/2010 11:06:43 PM
^^ Agreed. That game and the game last week between Denver and Golden State are the reasons I love the NBA. I mean shit most NBA teams score more in a half than college teams do the entire game. I flipped by the Pitt (#18)/whoever game earlier. Pitt had 8 turnovers, and 5 made shots in 11 minutes, come on.

Holy shit! Grant Hill still has spring!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgytI1V4w_4&feature=channelTrust me, it's worth watching. I think he might have taken 3 steps?, but who cares. Long live Grant Hill. [Edited on March 5, 2010 at 2:19 AM. Reason : g]
3/5/2010 2:10:29 AM
^Not even close to 3 steps...and not really a lot of "spring" either. Nice dunk...but nothing spectacular. He didn't get that high (ball was slightly above the rim and Grant Hill is 6'8"). Impressive if only because Grant Hill is 37, has had 8 million ankle surgeries, and he kinda dunked BESIDE Carlos Boozer. And I like Grant Hill. Also was surprised to see the Heat pull that out last night. I would have put money on LA closing them out after sending it into overtime. Good game by Wade, Richardson, and the Heat.

I'm so glad there are now four good teams out west at least, that means the lakers will actually get a tough matchup in the 2nd round, i hope it's the mavs, I'd also like their 1st round to be somewhat difficult but I dunno, maybe if it was new orleans and chris paul came back

justin.tv has some, but that site keeps getting over run with dumb stuff like WWE and cricket. I hate cricket.I've gone all luddite and started listening to games on the radio, long distance. Get a CCRadio Plus:http://www.gearlog.com/2005/12/need_a_longdistance_am_radio_h.phpIt's a bit much for a radio if you're not a ham or some other kind of radio geek. It's helpful when you live 5 hours from the nearest pro team of any kind.So Knicks season ticket sales for next year are way up...http://www.cleveland.com/ohio-sports-blog/index.ssf/2010/03/new_york_knicks_season_ticket.html

did anybody watch LA/Toronto? good game, that shot kobe hit was sick. and is anybody watching OKC? they're my favorite team to watch right now.
3/12/2010 1:15:06 PM
steph curry prob outplayed kobe the other night but his team lost, I've never seen golden state play this yr but they have a weird as hell offense, I couldn't see any of their players in the post on offense at all which I assume would screw up getting offensive rebounds but I guess they just want to get as many 3s as they can

Just saw the highlight of Garnett getting handled by Ginobili with a full head of steam headed to the rack.Hang 'em up soon Big Ticket. This is just getting embarrassing.
3/28/2010 11:24:42 PM
He's got a 3 year 60 mil extension that doesn't kick in till next yearMeanwhile, Al Jefferson is 25 and makes 12 milI'm just saying...
3/29/2010 8:58:06 AM
The Celtics are going to end up regretting that.
3/29/2010 10:04:57 AM
Why?? They won a championship because of getting him. You could say that if they kept Al, they might have still won....maybe. Garnett was still really good that year and was a huge defensive presence. They also probably wouldn't have been able to lure Ray Allen over for that year.I'm sure they would have liked to get 2 championships out of that group of guys...but 1 is greater than zero. Who knows what would have happened if they had kept Al...but I doubt they beat the Lakers or several other teams to win a championship two years ago.
3/29/2010 11:42:29 AM
Why is real easy because they're about to pay the guy an arm and a leg to be a shadow of the player he once was.His knees/body are showing signs of wear and tear and while he is still ok today, a year from now could be drastically different for him.[Edited on March 29, 2010 at 11:54 AM. Reason : Also I didn't mean them regretting getting KG. I meant regretting giving him that huge extension.]
3/29/2010 11:52:20 AM
Yeah...extension probably a bad idea. I think they thought they could get one more championship out of those guys...but doesn't look like it's gonna happen.
3/29/2010 12:01:00 PM
Silly catsGarnett wouldn't be on Boston if it wasn't for that extentionBoston agreeing to that extention before the trade was the only way he would have accepted itHe had a no trade clause in his previous deal
3/29/2010 12:05:38 PM
Yeah...gonna claim ignorance on that deal. Didn't follow the details.
3/29/2010 12:17:03 PM
I, too, did not realize this.Yikes. He is going to hang around and collect that $texas for another 3 years after this season. I can't say I would be excited about that as a C's fan.

I kept wondering why the Hawks were behind the Celtics in the standings when they both had the same record and Atlanta absolutely ran a train on them this year, sweeping the series 4-0
3/29/2010 3:59:54 PM
^Same thing happens in the NFL. Kind of like when the Chargers got in last year at 8-8 and I believe the Patriots were out at 11-5.
3/29/2010 4:53:51 PM
^ Nah in the NFL the divisions matter more than in the NBA because you play your interdivisional rivals more often than the other teams in the league. Plus the scheduling in the NFL is related to the division your are in (except for 2 games). The Chargers played a much harder schedule than the Pats did that season.[Edited on March 29, 2010 at 5:07 PM. Bogut's injury last night looked horrificHe's either got a broken or dislocated elbow, which means he most likely won't be around for the playoffs. It's a shame to see key players like that go down with the playoffs right around the corner. The Bucks were looking good too.
4/4/2010 10:51:04 AM
and cheers to Stoudemire for giving Bogut a lil push too.

4/8/2010 12:58:36 AM
Something I knew, NyM knew, and perhaps a few others here might've knownBut I bet most of you never heard of him before
4/8/2010 11:43:00 AM
I think a lot of folks heard of him through the Calipari thing and suspected him of giving improper benefits to recruits in a effort to sway them Calipari/Nike's way.
4/8/2010 1:32:05 PM
the west is really heating up again after I thought it might be on a little bit of a downturn, portland beat the lakers at home with roy pretty much injured and the spurs are coming on strong too, even phoenix is getting to 50+ wins although I don't think they'll do shit in the playoffs
4/12/2010 12:10:57 AM
Ah, yes... William Wesley. He's pretty well known these days but I've known about him for almost a decade now -- he was heavily involved in Rip Hamilton going to UConn.Calipari gets the most shit for working with him but nearly every college coach has. I guarantee that our coach is at least on speaking terms with him and I know for a fact that in the past coaches like Gary Williams, K, Calhoun and Pitino have both used him to attempt to get players and taken kids from one of his AAU feeder programs.[Edited on April 12, 2010 at 10:01 AM. 4/12/2010 8:44:00 PM
wow that's a stretch even for him, he's sitting out because he led his team to clinch the BEST RECORD in the nba and it's just logical to be rested for the playoffs (plus the nba reg season is too long anyway), I can't believe that idiot gets an mvp vote to begin with
4/13/2010 12:02:07 AM
(that isn't Doyel, btw. It just reminded me of him)
4/13/2010 12:06:38 AM
So how does a guy like that become that respected etc? Wes Wesley. I never heard of the guy but it sounds pretty cool what he does.
4/13/2010 12:43:58 AM
Yeah I've heard about WWW for a long time, but calling him "the most powerful person in the NBA" seems like a major stretch.Seems to me he's basically like a super agent. Influential, but without him would anything be all that different? I mean, would Lebron James just not exist without Wes?
