Glad I never attached myself to the Panthers. I already have enough disappointing teams to be a fan of.

i feel much like i did at the end of the seifert era..Unless Fox and Hurney, as well as a few key players (jake, pep) are off of this team, im not sure how much longer I can continue to watch and support this train wreck[Edited on September 13, 2009 at 6:32 PM. Reason : thx]
9/13/2009 6:04:30 PM
just seifert

Fire Hurney and Fox, bring in Cowher or Shanahan to do both jobs
9/13/2009 7:05:57 PM
I would take Cower or Shanahan, but I don't think Cower is looking to coach yet is he?I have been wanting Fox gone....Are there really any viable options out there for a QB??? III
9/13/2009 7:13:20 PM
Jake was a solid "game manager" if not a "game winner" in his prime, but he is absolutely shook right now. All we need is him to wake up or find another game manager QB. The rest of the team and coaching staff really aren't that bad.
9/13/2009 7:19:28 PM
7 for 17, 73 yards, 4 INTs
9/13/2009 7:37:52 PM
^^Game Manager, I agree...Game Winner def not, and his time is shortening so quick. Might as well start to make a move now... If we have to rely on Jake, we are in trouble. I am a Jake fan, but I don't want to see him flounder around all season waiting for him to "wake up." III
9/13/2009 7:40:28 PM
Anderson, Jackson, anyone else? Make a trade already.
9/13/2009 7:41:00 PM
Yea, John Fox is going to have to let go of Jake at some point. I think he is a very loyal coach, but I think it's going to cost him his job at some point. To me, Jake is a tough guy to hate. I know Fox loves his attitude and "the way" he plays the game...but he just isn't getting it done, and he hasn't been for some time now. It seems like the team has constantly been having to bail him out for awhile now.

Not only am I sad about the Panthers sucking cause of Delhomme, this also fucks up me having Steve Smith on my fantasy team.
9/13/2009 8:08:20 PM
I did not think about Donte C; but that would be a good person to come in and take a stab with team. He has strong arm and def could throw to Smith on the Run. Culpep is also in good shape, tall, and solid. I am all for that move. T. Jackson would be nice. Not sure what we could do to get a decent early draft pick since we gave away our First Round draft pick (to Niners if I am correct). III
9/13/2009 8:18:37 PM
I'm all for bringing in another QB now that McCown is done for the year. But do you guys really think bringing in someone like Dante Culpepper at this point in the season to lead the team is a good idea? I think Moore would give us a much better chance to win (now) than anyone else out there. That said, we really don't need a QB to do much. Manage the game, hit guys when they're open, take what the d gives you, and try not to turn it over. I think Matt Moore could do that just fine.
9/13/2009 8:53:18 PM
looks like mcnabb has a legit rib fracture, be warned if we're playing badly don't piss us off
9/13/2009 8:56:36 PM
^^I agree, I don't think we would benefit too much by bringing someone else in right now. But I would like to use do something at the end of the season to get a decent first round draft pick since we traded ours away.

I understand the approach most of you are discussing, trying to invest in a 1st round pick, but I guess I am not the type that likes or decides to throw away a season or try to lose to guarantee a early pick. I much rather make a move to try and win this season, make moves to play for this season. I just hate when teams say we going to lose with who we got and go for draft pick. I know its a business move, but the competitor in me does not like to "settle." III
9/13/2009 9:17:55 PM
hey the panthers really like shitty louisville qbstime to bring in justin burke
9/13/2009 9:26:26 PM
9/13/2009 9:58:56 PM
True, but I have herd and read people talking about trying to trade to get a first round draft pick. I don't see it being a good idea to give up our few good talent to lose this season to try to get a early 1st round pick. III
9/13/2009 10:03:29 PM
Football trading is weird, you never know what you can get. I've seen trades just end up being draft picks for draft picks. But I definitely think it's worth looking into. Even if we traded Jake, he just locked into a long term deal which makes him more attractive than someone with a year or two left on their contract. We'll see though, I'm sure Jake will start next weekend, and maybe he'll play a great game...who knows.

Panthers' MO the last 2 regular/post season games:1. Run the ball. Run block. Score a touchdown. The crowd goes wild.2. Start acting like pussies and play prevent defense and be mentally weak as fuck.3. FAIL

it just occurred to me that Joke has more turnovers in the past 2 games than i can count on my 2 hands

A few days ago, in my Madden franchise, I traded Jake, Pep and a 1st round pick for Rivers and Merriman...we're like 10-1[Edited on September 14, 2009 at 12:03 AM. Reason : also Jake, as a Charger, leads the NFL in INTs lol]

Jake for salehttp://charlotte.craigslist.org/for/1373444432.htmlI'm not buying

Fowler is exactly right. And Fox is too for going with Jake next week. Give the guy a chance to regain some confidence against a defense that won’t bring nearly as much pressure (assuming we block Abraham). If he flops again, bring Matt Moore in … and bring him in for the rest of the season.

Pro Football Talk is throwing out the name Jeff George as a possible replacementif they actually sign him (which they won't) I am seriously going to consider boycotting this team until next season
9/14/2009 1:28:02 PM
thats gotta be a joke...Jeff George is like...Vinny Testaverde's ageSUPPOSEDLY, Jake is going to start against Atlanta and Dallas...the bye week would be when we pick up another QB, assuming Jake hasn't done a complete 180
9/14/2009 1:31:05 PM
at least there was at least some logic to the Vinny signingand it was sort of coolbut Jeff George hasn't played in more than 8 years8 YEARS[Edited on September 14, 2009 at 1:35 PM. Reason : at least Vinny had played the season before]
9/14/2009 1:34:45 PM
hey tree why wouldn't you sign the qb now, so he would have a few weeks to learn the ropes, as well as lighting a fire under Simple Jake's ass
9/14/2009 1:41:37 PM
9/14/2009 1:42:00 PM
