if you want to add me, i'm goalielax on the PC. but chances are you're not going to be in a squad with the guys i game with a lot because there are usually 4 of us on at a time.

we dominate most of the time and get best squad 95% of the time and one of us gets the ace at least 75% of the time.

i played through on normal and then on hard and honestly there's not much difference going on hard. you might be able to take an extra bullet or two on normal.

your squad's AI is so bad they may as well not be there, and enemies have an insta-lock on you as soon as you are visible. nothing like getting sniped by a shot gun at 300 meters

also, fuck the RPG spam...I swear it seemed like every third guy had an RPG. we get it...you can destroy cover. but christ let us have it for at least half a second

overall, i'm glad the MP is so strong (as expected with a BF game)...because the SP didn't come close to meeting the MW bar

I personally liked it better than MW2. Maybe its due to the fact that I am burnt out on COD SP campaigns- a Bunch of intense fire-fights and no intriguing story, that rather hard to follow. While I am def not saying that the COD campaigns are bad or boring, its just they all feel the same to me and BC2 campaign was like a breath of fresh air. COD campaigns have always felt sterile and void of life and character to me. It felt like I was just there to play and not care about anything but seeing the credits roll. Character development was much better in this game and they are much more memorable. You get to play as the same person the whole game and endears that character to you. Your characters here have life and talk, but I can't say the same for COD. The terrain was much more beautiful in BC2, and had an epic feel to them as well. I would say the two campaigns run neck and neck, its just with cup of tea you like the best, and I like BC2 campaign better.

The noise that the weapon makes that they are looking for in the campaign makes an ultra creepy noise. Its one of the most weird and intriguing noises that I have ever heard.

I've got a good group I am playing with now. I kid you not, 20+ game win streak in conquest. Super easy. I know, conquest isnt too hard to win with one organized group. We are going to head into rush sometime soon after we get leveled up on various categories.

It's hard for me to give up my MP16.

I laughed about this until it actually happened to me in a rush game the other day. I was sitting up on the second floor of a building and manning a mounted machine gun, and I got 1-shot. When I saw the killcam, the guy who did it was using the NS2000 with slugs, and he was a good 30 yards downfield on the ground in front of me. I couldn't believe it. Best shot I've seen in the game so far.

For the short time I was able to play with y'all, I did enjoy working with a coordinated group. Please let me know when you start playing rush, as I play that almost exclusively.

I unlocked the M16 yesterday, and so far I really do not like it at all. The HK416 seems better all around. Maybe I'll try it with sights and see what kind of results I get.

Arab, I meant the M16...

I like the M16 because it has virtually no recoil whatsoever, I get more one burst kill with this than any other gun, and I can actually snipe with it with the ACOG scope.

I can manage to get 3-4 kills a clip if I am careful.

dunno if i really wanna show off my "awesome" k/d ratio of ~1.00 on facebook lol... i have noticed i am very streaky. i play the same rush server 90% of the time and it's typically the same crowd of people but there are times i am almost unstoppable and then other times i can barely escape being killed ending up like 1-11 for a round.

yeah, that's pretty much my take on it - win at all costs and fuck the K/D ratio - go pimp that over to the MW crowd where that's all that matters to them

the one thing i hate is that you basically get punished for using vehicles in this game. you can't progress in any class as long as you're using a vehicle. there have been many rounds where my squad uses the armor to turn the tide (or just punish the other side) and while it's great, i hate that there are times where i have to choose not to utilize armor just to work on unlock progression

also, my comment on the shotties was the AI in the single player campaign. these guys weren't using slug (you can see the buckshot spread coming at you). that comment was more for the "this AI is bullshit" take on the SP I have

For those of you who spend time as recon, what is your best marksman headshot bonus? I was ruling the house for a few days with 295, then today we finally unlocked the M95 and my roommate blew me away with a fucking 355 and 370. In my experience we aren't that good at shooters, so I was wondering if this was high enough to even be remarked upon.

I don't know how many times I just sit and fan my rifle while I ADS and press Back constantly and Spot the enemy. One tip for fledgling snipers that I can offer is ALWAYS Spot before you take the shot, it works well for me, and don't be afraid to call in a Mortar Strike in random spots or where your team has spotted someone but you can't see them. Just for fun put a Red Dot on the T88 sniper, its just like having a slightly stronger M1 Garand with a Red Dot on it, but the only down side is that there is no reticle when you are not ADS so you have to be quick on the draw or be very clever with positioning yourself on the battlefield. FYI, I think all snipers with any sight or scope do not have a reticle in this game.

When you ADS you hit the Back button while looking at any enemy and it puts a orange waypoint over their head so your whole team can see where they are located. You can use the Back button for other things as well. Just point your gun at stuff and push it and see what happens.

I had a DAMN good day today. Got to play rush for about 3 hours straight and won every single round except for one. The USAS-12 is so powerful that it's almost completely unfair in this game. I went from having 1 shotgun efficiency pin to 19 in a single day. I am almost convinced that the best Jack-of-all-trades class in the game is Assault with USAS-12, M1911, C4, extended shotgun magazine, and extra explosives. Aside from dealing with helicopters, there's not much that this class can't handle. I'm so surprised that the USAS-12 can fire as fast as it can (substantially faster than BC1), and with 12 rounds per magazine plus ammo boxes, you can throw buckshot absolutely everywhere. The gun hardly has any recoil at all, which is amazing when compared to some of the others. Even better about the ammo boxes is that you can now run up to the M-COM station, QUICKLY toss out 6 C4's (again, substantially faster than you could in BC1), detonate it, and then reload yourself. You can completely destroy an M-COM station with only 1 reload in this way.

Evidently, I also unlocked the G3 but haven't had a chance to use it yet. M14 sucks bad in this game, sadly.

Limited Edition still available online.

I'm SURE that some Best Buys still have the Limited Edition, which is really the same price anyway.

I'm just glad it was 49$ for PC instead of the real shitter that MW2 pulled on PC gamers.

Spotting as a sniper is also great for finding snipers in cover. The map where you fight in a harbor (don't remember the name) but the allied snipers line up on the back of the road and snipe from the treeline is a great place to setup as a a recon guy and sweep back and forth hitting the spot button. In the shade and cover that ghillie suit is damned hard to spot, but hit spot near them and you get a nice orange square to point them out.

And yes, to anybody that didn't know, hit the socialize button (whatever that is for your system, on PC its the Q button) and it will broadcast the enemies position to all your teammates. This is what all that chatter is in-game and how you get all those nice orange boxes telling you where to go.

I have noticed that a lot of guys use the C4 instead of the Mortar Strike on Recon, but I personally LOVE the mortar strike. And though Recon can't do much to stop a helo, I have on multiple occasions gotten a headshot on a hovering helo and blown the pilot away, causing it to crash. Those times are hilarious.

M24 on a UH-60, but the M95 is the best for pulling off helo destruction. I have not earned it yet, but picked up a couple and its the only sniper rifle capable of inflicting serious damage on a vehicle (but not armor) without actually killing the driver.

started spotting last night and got a lot of points from spot assist kills. I started getting mad though when I noticed my teammates not doing it.

I finally got the hang of the ARs last night too...still annoying I need to use almost half a clip to kill someone.

I have no problem aiming and I currently only have the iron sights. Coming from MW2 it just seems to take alot of bullets to drop someone. With the pistol I can kill in two or three shots but not the AR. Im surprised crouching does not improve accuracy at all.

Guess I need to wait on that Magnum ammo for a true run and gun experience.
