Its easy. I don't care if gays get married but im not going to go out of my way to vote to keep it. People who don't want gays getting married are going to go vote. The only people on the other side that care enough are gays and their best friends. Thus it passes even though most people aren't against gay marriage.

Hell yeah, strike that shit down. Fuck how you feel about it, bigots.
8/5/2010 2:23:03 PM
personally, i think they should be able to get married if they want...but there was a vote on it....and the "fuck your democratic processes if I get the outcome I want" crowd (see ^) pisses me off.

^some things should not be law even if a majority votes for it. Jim Crow laws would like a word with you.

I'm bringing back the list!!!For Gay Civil Unions/Marriages (whatever word appears in law):BridgetSPKagentliontromboner950kwsmith2SupplanterNyM410EightyFourPrawn StarRedGuardStillFuchsiaEarthDoggAgainst Gay Civil Unions/Marriages:TKE-TegTULIPlovrTaterSaladWlfpk4LifeTo be clear, I used two terms, "civil unions/gay marriage," to cover everything. No semantic games are being played. If the law opts to use the term "civil union" to describe the joining of all couples, then that's the word we're settled on. If they pick "marriage," then we're going with that for all couples. No room for distinction by using two different words for gays and straights. You all can still discuss policy and politics and whatnot. But go ahead and put your name on the list, too!!!

As long as marriage exists in its current form, I think it should be accessible to same sex couples. But, for the record, I think the government should have nothing to do with it. Not only that, but I'd be for dismantling the institution of marriage altogether. It's not necessary. It's not sacred. A lifelong commitment can be made without the government/clergy sanctioning it.

I'm 100% for legal same sex marriage. I'm 100% opposed to the idea of marriage though, it's a bad contract if you're a well to do guy.
