Northrop Grumman Corp. gave me a reply for the co-op position I applied for in Spring 2007. They sent me an e-mail saying that the position was filled

LOL. I wouldn't expect much more from them. They gave us $800 to do our senior design project for them. They gave us a presentation in which they basically said "we don't really know what we want, just do something like this." Then we never saw them again. They didn't even bother coming back to see what we had made.

I applied a while back to a Jacobs Engineering entry level post, maybe 2 years ago. The ad eventually expired a few months later and it said the job duty/role had been killed "due to lack of interest."

^^^ Northrop came back for our presentations and stuff, but they still had that "We're not entirely sure how to answer your question, so just do what you think is best" guidance the whole way through the project.

sorry i never got back to you guys about the NASA positions. By the time I was able to talk to my friend about it they were already filled. But to make it up to you, here's a company that may be recruiting soon thanks to the Obama money. I found out about them through a friend that met a guy that works there. Its at least adding to your watch list, so I thought I'd pass the word along.
